Ive been playing a full fire conversion CoC assassin with dual Cospris and its been a blast, might be an option to look into for people interested in trying out the playstyle. Its probably a bit cheaper than the cold variant and you can ignore accuracy with effigon + flesh and stone/blind chest.
I played a similar build in 2 leagues back to back and itis one of my all time favourite builds. This league I ended up with a wandslinger/coc assassin with poet's pen because yuo know.. more spells more fireworks... it's flashy but it is not even close to the cyclone-sword version.
I prefered the bow version in metamorph, because it deals a lot more dps and allows you to get a quiver with life for more tankyness. I invested in a -reflect ring with ass mark and 15 life on hit, and a vitality life on hit watcher's eye, that makes it have great regen. Barrage with the threshold jewel and a +1 pierce quiver is great for clearing. Using spell cascade on vd is one of the biggest multipliers you can get, especially without an enchant. The main problem vs cyclone is that on bosses like sirius you are a bit too static if you want to deal damage, and so you can't dodge the beam attack well.
For extra jankyness you could use the ring that hits you when a minion dies, replace the desecrate with skeleton and cwdt everything (maybe a 6l dd chest?)

The last time I played ED/C I was sorely disappointed with the AoE nerfs after legion. If you want to see a more modern ED/C build, consider checking out MBX's ES gain on block trickster he was playing earlier in the league!

CoC+Spellslinger+Poet's Pen BladeBlast and Bladefall for my assasin was good but I was able to move it to my zerker for warcry abuse with some reasonable success. CoC VD Assassin is probably expensive now that you're doing it Nathan, but so is Mathil with a CoC exquisite blade at this very moment.
I'd love to see a guide for this. I've got my legs for CoC (through PP coc bladefall assassin) but it's definitely difficult to do if you're not sure what you're doing.
I've done this build in ssf last league, and I used vaal DD in a separate 4l (I had the sockets since I used dagger/shield) VD only consumed 9 out of 10 corpses I spawned, so I had enough to get vaal DD going, and it added a ton of dps I'd go VD instead of DD any day btw, if you have leech and get hit, you can run away for a second while the balls you just spawned heal you
Hope i could dobule like your videos, one like cuz is a brand new Nathan boy video, an another cuz as always we have a top notch quality video. Btw this build is nuts -monkaS- I would respect if not for the fact im having a hell lot of fun with ignite proc already 😄
Working on a weapon for this build. I just hit Socketed movement skills have no mana cost(along with lvl 20 coc and T1 attack/chance to deal double). Trying to figure out if would be any good with the low mana cost it already has.
I don't love the idea of having to channel for a full second to gain that benefit, but hex breaker sounds pretty tempting. I'll definitely consider it!
If mathil is doing this build you should advise to viewer not to go into it so fast, as you know the flippers are on full force in the first few days. Just my 2 cents.

Mathil and I have around the same EHP (7kish after ES) but I went for acro/phase acro, survivalist, anointed soul of steel, and run two surging vitalities. It's no herald stacking guardian, but I can safely say my version is a bit tankier. If you want similar damage to Mathil's though, you'll need to mix up my links and flasks to more closely match his.
@@nathanbrotherbob yes that would be realy good in the actual. You can even get shaper gloves 10% but that is not consistent enough. Anyways reedemer ches is good and that mod is easy to hit If I am not mistaken
When you would invest 30-50+ ex in a build that's not tanky and doesn't clear that well, it's expected to get more currently, especially with a build that actually doesn't do that consistently (as you'd need all the aoes to overlap.) With simulacrum you expect to to get about 5-10M consistently or be tanky enough.
Would love a build guide for this. I haven't dabbled with CoC at all and this looks like a fun build to jump in with.

Awakened spell cascade is the best way to make DD explosions overlap imho.

I did a super juiced Coc VD/barrage, played really nice if you scale dodge/vaal grace and do a self cast second wind dash/steelskin/inc duration

How about a channeling medium cluster jewel with precise focus (crit and multi) and hexbreaker (curse immune while channeling)?

I would probably just selfcast DD+desecrate with spell cascade, but I'm sure some spell slinger/poets pen shenanigans would work as well.
Volatile dead is better, but detonate dead looks amazing. So that's always the answer for me with those 2 skills^^

how's survivability on this build? i tried mathil's version and i keep dying even with 6k hp+ corrupted soul.

actually nevermind. i ended up using disciple of kitava+corrupted soul and my leech goes up real nice in conjunction with doryani's lesson.

No, I don't have a consistent enough source of blind (maybe if I used a Redeemer chest with that mod?) to make that amulet work.
