Have you ever seen the movie this song is from? It's called White Nights. It's streaming on a few different channels. If you love this song, I think you will like the movie too 😊😊💜💜
I grew up with Lionel Richie's music because my dad bought some of his records back in the day. For me it's timeless music and he's a guy who can claim to be a true artist. My dad used to say, "Lionel Richie is THE man" 👍. That song was probably the first Lionel Richie song I ever heard. The only thing I never really understood is why all of a sudden the fast part kicks in in the song 😀. It pulls you out of the romantic mood a bit, but then again it makes the song special 😊.
This song reminds me of the time when me, my cousin and her husband were driving down a freeway from Monroe, Michigan (halfway between Detroit and Toledo) to Lake Michigan just west of Holland, Michigan and this song was playing, I always associate this song for our trip to Lake Michigan, my cousin loved this song but her husband wasn't keen on it, fortunately my cousin told him that she loves this song.
Who's here listening to real music in 2020?? I wish music was still like this now, and that it would have never changed to what we have today!!! Pure talent not trash!!!
He had one great song after the other in the 80s. I remember years ago now telling my kids about a lineup of singers in the paper. I think it was for the Super Bowl or New Year's and the writer named a bunch of new singers I didn't like and then he wrote Lionel Richie? I was like Yes! he was great! The only good singer on the list and young people don't even know who he is. Oh yes his daughter was in that reality show.

As we go down life lonesome highway seems the hardest thing to do is to find a friend or two that helping hand someone who understands when you feel you've lost your way you've got someone there to say I'll show you. Its hard finding people there for you in those deep lonely moments but then years after I gave my life to Christ and.since then I've never been alone without someone to show me the way. The way I see how these decades of the 20's have been developing with Pop, R&B and Rock there is no comparing it with the 70's through the 90's. The music was Lyrics, melodies, voices, arrangements and a mixture with Clasical instruments in any of the songs then made it very sophisticated. there is no question about the quality of these songs. This song dropped in my head last night as I tried to fall asleep. It hit me like an electric current. I hadn't thought of this song in decades. It came in the radio all through my 80s childhood. I used to dance to this in my parents brown and forest green decorated living room. Just twirl and wave my arms to a rhythm. I guess I'm saying this song is in my dna.
Look, Dancing on the Ceiling (1986) is an excellent album, but Say You, Say Me is the main reason why I brought the album on Amazon back in September 2023. I've always liked Say You, Say Me ever since I was a kid back in the 1990s which is the first time period in which I heard this song.
E desse todo, a música é realmente atemporal.
"I had a dream, an awesome dream." So did I Lio, to be alive when artists like you were on the radio. I'll never get my dream, hopefully you got yours.
1986 was a lifetime ago to me..I remember hearing this alot on my radio station when I was either 8 maybe going onto 9 years old as a kid...I never really knew what the connotations meant behind it (why would I back then?!...) but I did like it even though I couldn't understand it back then...It has a certain amount of comfort behind it that in 2020 is really kinda needed right now with everything that's going on with the world via politics and covid-19....I glad I found this track again as I think we all kinda need it now but that was the 1980's music to me comfort that can't be found in 2020 anymore...Thanks for it.
I thought to myself what songs where popular the year I was born and found this. I felt a nostalgia. I guess my parents listened to this music and I remember it.

That's right, I'm telling you
It's time to start believing oh yes
Believing who you are
You are a shining star
Say you, say me it for always
Oh that's the way it should be
Say you, say me say it together
Naturally
Say it together, naturally
This song dropped in my head last night as I tried to fall asleep. It hit me like an electric current. I hadn't thought of this song in decades. It came in the radio all through my 80s childhood. I used to dance to this in my parents brown and forest green decorated living room. Just twirl and wave my arms to a rhythm. I guess I'm saying this song is in my dna.
That's what happened to me this morning with his "Here we are ..Love will conquer all" song
What a beautiful timeless song!!!!
I'll never get my dream, hopefully you got yours.
one of greatest songs by Lionel Richie...dedicated to our loves, right, ppl?
1986 was a lifetime ago to me..I remember hearing this alot on my radio station when I was either 8 maybe going onto 9 years old as a kid...I never really knew what the connotations meant behind it (why would I back then?!...) but I did like it even though I couldn't understand it back then...It has a certain amount of comfort behind it that in 2020 is really kinda needed right now with everything that's going on with the world via politics and covid-19....I glad I found this track again as I think we all kinda need it now but that was the 1980's music to me comfort that can't be found in 2020 anymore...Thanks for it.
The movie is called "White Nights" 1985
Its one of my favourite movies! None of my friends know what it is because we're so young...
Who cares
lee hollebon
Go ask Alice.
If the “white knight” is talking backwards, it might be helpful for some reason to know that information?
Shen Shy no it’s not. The name of the movie is “white nights”.
