Jeffrey you need to go back and check out the other half! So many lovely things, little on the pricey side but fun to look at. Katie seems like an awfully sweet person, learned a lot from both of you today. Happy 4th to both of you🇺🇸be safe
Thankyou for the shout out! Katy you are wonderful! Just so that you know the Restaurant is back to being open again, 7 dAYS A WEEK. You can shop and sip, take your wine with you while you shop.....and the desserts are fabulous.........many customers spend the day. Do one half of the store, stop for lunch then shop the other half. It's a great day out if you love antiquing!
Beautiful mosaics. That would be a good place to spend a day. I saw a cloisonne trinket with a lid just like the one my mom had. Thanks Jeffrey 🦩 Kisses to Stella 🐕
Loved all the old dice. I have a handful of old dice that I display on a TreasureCraft strawberry tray. They’re just fun to look at. Regarding UPC codes…they were on products in the early 70s, but the first one to actually be scanned in a store was in 1974. I remember moving to my current town in 1977, and knew of only one store that “read” the UPCs at the register. We’ve sure come a long way - now you can scan a UPC with your phone, learn about the product, find the price, and where to buy it! I sure hope you go back to that antique mall again when you have lots of time. They really had some interesting things.
I was in home goods last week and they had some art glass there and it was labeled murano made in the style of for under 20 dollars . That antique mall is fantastic never been to one that big a whole day in that place. Hope you are doing well Jeffery and Stella ❤
I’ve been to that mall once cause my daughter lives in Jacksonville. I live in SW FL. I so want to go back soon. Didn’t get a chance to see all of it. Only saw half the mall.
I recently found your channels and have been bin watching your latest episodes. You are so knowledgeable. I truly enjoy watching you and will be subscribing today.
The real old barrister bookcases are quarter sawn oak with a top piece and a bottom piece with a drawer. I have two sections. Would love to find a third that was affordable!
The Royal Doulton rabbits in the red color is known as Flambe. Here is a description of what that means: Royal Doulton Flambe glaze is made with copper oxide and gives a fiery red finish that became known as ‘flambe’. Royal Doulton were European pioneers of the traditional 16th Century Chinese glazing technique in the early 20th Century; a rich deep red glaze with streaks of purple and turquoise. Doulton & Co first introduced their version of the Flambe glaze in 1904 at The St Louis Exhibition. It became an immediate success and, because of how popular it was, they increased production at the Burslem studios, perfecting the glaze over the following years. They added the complicated Sung glaze to the range in 1920 and there is still secrecy surrounding the production of Royal Doulton’s flambe and transmutation glazes. Inspired by early Chinese Flambe glazes that date back to the 16th Century, Doulton & Co’s art department was headed by Charles Noke at the time. Noke was joined by Cuthbert Bailey who introduced Potter Bernard Moore to the studio to help to formulate their own Flambe glazes in the early 1900s. Once perfected, production flourished with large exhibition sized vases, bowls and planters, followed by many other small items. The Flambe glaze quickly became a huge success for the studio and was then used in many models of animals, birds, cats, dogs and figurines. Many different models were added to this range over the following decades and production was maintained until the last specialist Flambe kiln was dissembled when the Nile street factory was vacated in 2005.
I apologize if anyone mentioned this but, come to Lakeland and go to Wildwood antiques not sure of the resale value but there's other places you could visit too, ofc. I do willing to go along 🤗
I couldn't agree more with Katie. Unless it was bought on the island of Murano, sellers should not be able to call it Murano. The glass from the island is super expensive...even back 25 years ago my first trip there. I have bought Murano style hand blown glass in Italy (Florence & Venice) which is also very high quality - but the vendors do not call it Murano...only in US people get away with it and people fall for it.
I'm showing my age (maybe) but Kate reminds me of Carol Channing. That place is mahoosive I'd have to spend a week there to do it justice . ❤hello from the UK 🇬🇧
hi there Wendy from Toronto just wondering the value of chokin art small plate limited edition 24 lt gold its so beautiful its the bird picture on the plate...thanks
I love thrifting and antiques in Jacksonville. I always go to the 5 points area . They have really good antiques. My favorite is fans and stoves antique mall. Again thanks For the adventures. Say hi to katie for me! Love her too!

It is now called Lakeland antique Mall and is 44,000 ft², so shopping meltdown to be expected 😆

Thank you! It's a pity the restaurant was closed but the filming took place after 4pm. They would have enjoyed the desserts for suer!

Yes, Fans & Stoves was great. If I'm not mistaken, that's the one that was moving to a new location.
Thank you for letting me know. I was there this past January and didn’t know about the move.😊
Avonlea love Fans and Stoves too...they are relocating to a new spot in an old church soon. Cant wait to see what Rueben and the guys do!
