This amazingly talented lady is in for the shock of her life when she finds out how many people, including myself, were deeply affected and impacted by her beautiful and touching performance as Millicent in Elden Ring! Having played basically every Souls game myself, the Millicent quest line and what she brought to the performance left me teary eyed and feeling emotions no other quest in video games has quite made me feel. Hats off to this amazing actress and her soulful performance!

As an intense Elden Ring player, I have over 500 hours in and am still only in NG+ (very slow, lore hunting furled finger type player). This isn’t a brag, just a scene setter. I truly want to say how much this game has meant to me personally. I’ve been on a self-imposed 3 week vacation from work. Like many, since 2021, the world seems to be collapsing. I had to work through the next phase of my growth in this world as someone who spent years navigating the dark, lonely abyss of trauma, pain, addiction, and abuse. This interview made me continue Millicent’s questline (one of the few I still haven’t done) but more importantly, it reminded me why this game has brought me to tears, enwreathed me in anger, destroyed my ego, and brought me friendship and meaning in ways I can’t even begin to write here. I hope others share this sentiment. From the true bottom of my newly purified heart and soul, I love you both for what you do as kindred spirits and people that remind me that this world doesn’t have to be so lonely anymore. I did a tour in Tokyo from 2013 to 2016. It was very common to see Japanese people out and about wearing masks, even back then. It’s really just a part of their culture.
About 23:46 ("We could kill you straight away") Interestingly, that's not completely true, as Millicent is one of a few npcs (others are Devin, Rodericka and Rya) who have a protective barrier around them and cannot be killed at the start of their quest!
Honestly to me Millicent represents what Malenia could of been if she refused to sacrifice her humanity even if it meant dying or timidly rotting away. However instead of dying as she was at the hands of Radahn she chose to bloom which not only doomed her and her half brother but the entirety of Caelid just because she couldn't accept defeat.. Pride is very dangerous and that was Malenia's greatest failing but Millicent on the other hand chose to die as she was and as such never cause suffering to anyone or anything, she's a true selfless hero and my favorite character in all of Elden ring.
Except Malenia didn't bloom because of her pride. I think people have this misconception about her character that she is an arrogant warrior who couldn't accept defeat. When she says "I've never known defeat", she's stating a fact and a warning to the tarnished to get away from her home. In reality malenia bloomed intentionally against radahn to break the stalemate, not because she was losing which the sword memorial in swamp of aeonia makes it very clear. She is anything but prideful because she literally cast her pride aside in caelid. I don't think she expected that to turn caelid into a hellhole considering she sounds quite sad at the beginning of the boss fight and feels guilty for leaving corpses in her awakening. Then she is forced to bloom against the tarnished not because she couldn't accept defeat but because there was no needle to keep the rot in control and the rot influences her. Blooming seems to occur when malenia is under severe emotional distress or near death. Since she stabbed herself intentionally and not because she was going to die in caelid to bloom, i think that resulted in rot to go out of control. However the tarnished beat her fair and square, which is why the scarlet aeonia isn't catastrophic for the haligtree. I just think her character is misinterpreted by a lot of people, however i feel she is herself quite a tragic and heroic character who fought for miquella and the weak who were oppressed by the golden order. End of the day, she is also a victim of scarlet rot.

Lastly I'm not saying she is arrogant or evil but she is prideful and completely blinded by her own goals which wasn't about helping anyone besides her brother while Radahn was a demi-god who truly cared about people and conquered the very stars just to protect Caelid and the town of Sellia from being destroyed and furthermore only learned gravity magic so that he would never have to abandon his horse which he deeply cherished due to it being a gift from his papa. He also was completely beloved by his men to the point that since his fight with Malenia they have never stopped fighting the scarlet rot and are the only reason it didn't continue to spread to the rest of the lands between. Everything Radahn and his men have ever done was to help and protect people while Malenia's legacy is one of destruction, rot, and decay.

Also I think Malenia and Radahn we're evenly matched when they fought but keep in mind during the fight a huge portion of Radahns's strength was being used to keep the stars in stasis and also just like in his fight with us he no doubt was constantly distracted due to keeping his horse safe from harm. Yet even despite all the disadvantages he definitely inflicted far more damage to Malenia than she did to him but by no means was it a one sided fight, however she would of absolutely been killed by Radahn after she bloomed and only survived because one of her duty bound cleanrot knights dragged her away to safety. I love Malenia but you have to understand Radahn was the strongest of the Demi-gods and the only reason that isn't represented in game during his actual boss fight is due to him being a main story boss who is integral to Ranni's questline and therefore Fromsoft didn't want tons of players to get stuck on him.

About the question on merchandise, sh figuarts announced that they are making figures of the major characters, they also announced that they would make chibi mini figures of more elden ring characters that aren’t part of the major roster so we could see the likes of Blaidd, Millicent and other characters like Sir Gideon
