- Dmitri Dmitriyevich Shostakovich (1906-1975) - Piano Trio no.2 in e-minor, op.67
00:10-07:45 I.Andante - Moderato
07:46-10:50 II.Allegro con brio
11:00-16:40 III.Largo
16:40-27:30 IV.Allegretto - Adagio
Written during WW II, while also deeply affected by the death of his friend Sollertinsky. Premiered in 1944 in Leningrad, with the composer at the piano.
Haunting and devilish at times, deeply human, modest and humble at others.
The famous E-Major chords at the very end must be some of the most heart-wrenching, simple and painful harmonies, leaving us with a screaming silence.

It is not an easy piece mentally or technically, but it was a wonderful and inspiring performance. Thanks for uploading.
