It’s interesting to note that where the doorknob is, there’s an empty space Considering Abuela is on the right and that space there is empty on the left of Mirabel, it suggests that spot would be for Pedro… In essence though, if the theories are right with the casita being Pedro’s spirit, then he is in the door as that Doorknob
From seeing the trailers, I thought Isabela was going to be my least favorite character because of how careless she seemed towards Mirabel, but now having seen the movie twice, I really like her and her transition to how she accepts herself in "What Else Can I Do?"
I think Mirabel didn’t get a bedroom door because at the end when she opened the front door the door and whole house lit up showing that her power was always there and she had control of the house and being the protector of the whole family. She would take over her grandma’s role.

I felt the same way at first… But after watching the apology a few times it was enough for me. She realized she was the one that was hurting the house as well as Mirabel, and she was wrong to accuse Mirabel ruining the family. Like she held her self accountable for all of it.
...I just had a thought, I wonder if Mirabell's door was always the front door, you can't have 2 magical rooms in the house. All her insecurities could have been fixed if she had just accidentally broke the front doorknob and replaced it on her own.
