Hola Negra, this is Felix Santiago , a Univ. of Santa Clara Law grad from the Bronx, NY. I was the 1987 - '89 Federal law librarian at MCCNY. They had a mixture of Medellin cartel Colombianos, Pizza Connection Italianos, and los Brooklyn Projects crack gang soul bros. Naturally, the Italian Pizza Connection and los Colombianos became my protection. I also had a few favorite Black inmates who befriended me because they were all about education and serving a quiet bid. So, I've served time also. But I was paid a salary to help deliver supportive/legal services to the Federal inmates. I just found you yesterday on line. That’s messed up! I remember going to high school in OC with this girl Cinnamon Brown who got convicted for murdering her stepmom. This was in the 80s. She got tried as an adult too but she remained in juvenile hall until she was 25 and then got released. They did a lifetime movie about her.

There’s actually a few projects in Long Beach two in the north that’s the carmalitos,Grisham projects on 49th sprindales in the west and in the east you got the poly apartments. Og is the carmalitos tho

Thank you. I’ve always thought to share my story and in return hope to inspire and show people especially the youth that even coming from a neighborhood,the lifestyle,and prison doesn’t mean we stay stuck in the negative aspects of our past lives. We as a people and community have grown and learned from past mistakes that today bring us into a whole new world to create successful lives and good examples. Indicted tv is another great example of that. I’ll forever be thankful to have the opportunity to share my story here
I remember the time when NSL made a come back. Eddie’s liquor would be the place. I hung out with Vicky in 52st and Aurelio, Fabian and a few other people.

Man YA is tough. If you’re an Asian or someone from a small hood with a lot of enemies, it can be hell. A lot of guys from bigger hoods get a pass having numbers, but they would also fold if they had to do it on their own.
