I yell a lot as a mom. I cried on Wednesday and apologized to my daughter cause I yelled at her so much. Her story and how she avoided home because of her mom’s yelling etc etc. really hit home. I need to do better as a mommy. I will do better as a mom.

Same down to every restaurant she and her kids slept at. I remember my mom couldn’t hustle the money for our motel room so we slept at winchles waiting for someone who said they’d bring her some money , it was always jack Mac Donald’s subway. Crazy how much I could relate. I thank God everyday I was able to make it out and do better for my children

Dam this shit hit home. From the City of Lynwood, to the no mother affection, to the drogas... but mainly just the story. Like I am hearing my sister, who unfortunately still out there, with a difference that drugs did come before the children and they were left behind. It's so heartbreaking! Iam happy to hear a positive outcome in hopes that there's still hope for her. The damage that drugs do. Sending all the positive vibes to Lynwood. And for those who still struggle and maybe don't have their kids. You think your kids hate you, but they don't. They always have hope that you'll be back. It's never too late and it's possible. Keep pushing!

22:00 I cried when she quoted her son. I wish services were offered to her from the get go. That could’ve helped avoid further trauma. She reminds me of myself in the sense of being resilient and having a sense of emotional intelligence. My glass is always half full. In sobriety now 22 yrs and I will never go back. I wish she and the kids seek and receive on going therapy individually otherwise with all the toxic situation there is a huge chance they’ve learned co dependency behavior and the cycle can continue. Salute to all the parents who love their kids and never give up. Every day is an opportunity.

So I’ve recently discovered Lynwood, I discovered her through La Marile and Marlene and I’d catch her live here and there she caught my because of her lifestyle so I started to look her up and today I discovered this podcast. I’m literally here bawling my eyes out. This woman is what you call a Mother. A mother’s love for her children. I hope your story helps many people who are going through similar situations. Your story is so inspirational and I pray that you keep moving forward and become the person God wants you to be. He has a purpose for you in this life. The platform you have created will make you an asset to society! Blessings to you and your children! Keep up the fight and keep the momentum moving! ❤

😭😭😭😭😭😭 this brought up so much forgotten trauma.
We're not where we wanna be, but we FOR SURE not where we used to be 🙌🏽 sometimes we gotta go through the pain to appreciate what God is trying to bless us with. How can he bless us with more if we can't manage what we already have?
Let's keep it pushin LYNNWOOOOOOOOOD!!! It's not how you start the race, but how you finish. Remember, you are not defined by your past. When the enemy calls you out by your past mistakes, there's something in the future he doesn't want you to see. So don't let the past determine your future. You made it through! You can face whatever tomorrow brings if you wake into it with God by your side 🙏🏽
