I am a total atheist. That translates as Naastik. A couple of Hindu friends said, ( if you are Naastik, you are Sanatani). So yes, Hindus are the only religion which recognise an unbeliever!

Naastik or Aastik - you believe in Dharma. Even some people from Naastika branch eg Jains, Buddhists still do Yoga (which is an Aastik branch). Even if you don't believe in Atman or Brahman, the important thing is that you are a good person and connect with the universe in the right way for you which doesn't harm anyone or anything else

However, I think Atheist isn't the right word but rather 'non-theist' ie someone whose practises and ways of life don't focus on God rather than someone who outright denies God
In Islam you're not allowed to question but in Sanatan Dharma ( World calls it Hinduism) your are allowed to question everything. Its up to you which path you take.

1. You say they are so called ex Muslims. First of all, fyi, there is nothing like an ex muslim! Ex is attached to some thing/person if that thing/person "belonged" to some "organisation" or "institution" where they keep a count who is part of that "thing"!
Islam is a concept, a religion not a "thing". No one needs to give names to enter in the list maintained by the "thing" be it a group of KKKs or RSS, BJP or Bajrangi Dal etc.
As per Islam a Muslim is one who believes in 1 and the only creator. Period.
He or she then becomes a "believer"; it is not a membership by any means or belonging to any of your fictional and imaginary grouping of "Islam".
And if some one stops believing in one and the only creator he or she becomes a "non believer"! Not a so called "ex muslim".

Another case my friend , a Muslim [Hyderabadi] by name but hates islam.. He shared his experience that when he inform about his athiestic views, he was beten by eleders and forced to follow.. He even today after almost 6 years says that being ex-muslim, even in country like india is calling for death.

So each family will have their own member fm their generation to celebrate, we call them as KULATHEIVAM means who was sent by God to help the generation to rise. I having been going to church ever since I was a small boy till I was a young adult.
My breaking point came when missionaries came to my hm to spread the gospel.
I served them snacks and drinks. Listen to their message with a open mind and heart.

The Hindus worship demigods for material benefits. In Bhagavat Gita, Lord Krsna instructs the Universe that if we worship Him as The Supreme God there is no need to worship demigods but one should respect them. They do so much service to maintain the material creation. Srimad Bhagavatam explains the different planetary systems.

Being a descendant of Afghan parents , she got this name because her ancestors converted to Islam in 1100 AD, and before that Afghani people were either Sanatani (Hindu) or Buddhist.
Sardar is of Persian origin not Indian and definitely nowadays more referred to by Sikhs. Amina is arabic name from the Quran.
