FOIL or FIOL - its the exact same thing. Personal preference. Doing it your way and as long as you get to the same answer its 100% fine. Thank you!

Ooooh nevermind, I understood it now, when I was cancelling the ^2 I was only removing square root instead of applying it to the 2 as well, I think that's right anyways.

Why aren't you multiplying in the FOIL order? It just makes it confusing. You are doing a FIOL order, for some reason.
