This game did what no other did, the feeling of adventure, reaching the top of the wall was an amazing moment i have never forgot.
There's no other word to describe this game other than "special". Absolutely special to anyone who played it.
The original Grandia has one of the greatest soundtracks of all time. Legendary game.

Why did Final Fantasy 7 ( and 8 ) come out when they released Grandia 1, seriously it took all the credit from Grandia, the only game with a soundtrack that gives me goosebums.

I sincerely rather they do not touch this masterpiece. They are unable to do it justice. Even the ff7 which was the biggest of scams, marketed as a remake only to be a sequel in the stupid compilation cause apparently asking them to just remake it is too much to Mr Nomura and co greedy little fingers. Keep this gem away from the stupidity of current square enix.

yep, still number 1 for me, this is still the absolute "adventure" theme feel to this date, it just feel so magical.
That's it. I HAVE to play this game again, as soon as I get the time for it :) Such amazing music, such amazing memories of adventure, wonder and magic. These classic RPGs are the fairy tales of our generation's childhood, fairy tales which we did not only listen to or read, but were an active part of. It's a magical exprience for all the senses, with bursts of beautiful music, colorful visuals, hidden treasures and epic battles always awaiting in the far horizon.

I played the game the first time when I could barely even read on my PS1 at ~age 5 or 6.
It still has a very special place in my heart and I revisit it every so often. I'll never forget the immense chills I got when I climbed the top of the wall and the cutscene played.
There are so many moments that I can vividly remember despite having experienced them at such a young age, no other game has done that for me.
I'm really glad that I was able to have this game be such a great part of my childhood.

This is the only wall worth climbing. To reach the top is an adventure on it's own. The best thing is, it's not even half of the adventure. Grandia, you'll be remember always.

I know right! This is the first thing I bought off PSN. Well I had an emulated version for my PC but it just didn't feel right
***** I still have the original disc but it's so old I don't want to damage it, it's like a monument to good gaming dood, I wouldn't dare use it unless I had to, to play it again, they just don't make games like these anymore dood. XD

It was just the absolutely PERFECT track to play in that moment when you start climgbing that legendary wall, not knowing what will expect you behind, going where nobody has ever gone before... :) That track just outright shouted "Adventure"

Tinnyalla There arent any words to describe how epic this piece is. i dont mean epic as in how its its overused for good, i mean epic as in the scale. This remains my second favorite game of all time after skies of arcadia because what i love about them is the scale. the epic grand adventure, marching boldly into the unknown, mapping the world and saving it from evil, exploring the mysteries of the ancient civilisations that once governed them. This game was a huge part of my childhood and will always be one of my favorite games ever.
@gitarrojoe Grandia and Suikoden II are the ps1 games I'll recomend to my children (if I'll have any in the future :)

John Williams is not averse to taking inspiration from classical composers himself. The mark of true greatness is to steal so well that you make it your own :)
Anyway this is Iwadare's finest work as far as I'm concerned. An OST to stand with Secret Of Mana, Chrono Trigger, the Dragon Quest series, the amazing Suikoden II...
