As someone who worked at a liquor store for a handful of years, I'm 100% with Wade on this. 90% of the time, the customer comes in knowing what they want, get it, and leave. Another 8%-9% come in not knowing what they want but have at least a vague idea, and you give them a pretty solid recommendation. And then that remaining percentage... I won't say what state they were usually from (California), but man, they'd come in, and initially act like that 8%-9% percentile, but then they'd ask that ONE question too deep, that any reasonable person wouldn't really know, and I'm just standing there thinking "Bitch, I'm not a sommelier, fuck off. You clearly know what you want, get it and leave."

Rinsing your mouth or using warm water to brush removes the taste of toothpaste/mouthwash quicker than cold water
If I learned something about sound design, then it's that you don't want the actual sound that something makes, but the sound that people expect to hear when something happens. The art of immersion is to make people think that what they see and hear is real and they're not gonna be immersed, if they feel like the sound they're hearing doesn't match what's happening, that's why most space movies and games have sounds in a vacuum
Very correct Danganronpa! There's a neat detail in Event Horizon (which DOES portray realistic silence in space, but this adds to the horror and isolation for this piece specifically,) where the character is in space with explosions around, and it's eerily silent, until they make physical contact with the metal of a ship, and you hear all the explosion rumblies. Is cool

To be fair, Star Wars and Star Trek would be incredibly boring without Space sounds. Though I think I recall someone getting sucked out of the ship in one of the Star Trek reboot movies and he screamed with an echo, which was kinda weird

I'm left handed and I RARELY use my right hand for handshakes, only when the other person offers first and I notice it before I put my hand out. For one bc there's no reason for the right hand to be prioritized, the world is already built for those guys they can bow to me for handshakes, but also bc the other person is already going to go "Oh, oops!" and change hands, and if you also do it, you're just prolonging things and making it more awkward and clumsy. Also it's very funny if they don't change hands and just wait for me to change hands and instead I just take their right hand with my left hand and shake it in a strange fashion. It always catches people off guard and it's a lot of fun, so start shaking with your left hand!
I'm also left-handed but I've never offered a lef-hand handshake. I always wait for people to offer one.

Warm water is MUCH preferred for toothbrushing, because it encourages the reaction, and cold water SUCKS when you have exposed nerves!!
And side-note, I DESPISE mint-flavored toothpaste. it leaves my mouth feeling cold and harsh and I hate it, I want my mouth to feel like mouth. and would rather have a *fun* flavor or even no flavor, than have mint. Mint is much better as a gum

I am left handed. The only reason I shake a persons right hand is because they are right handed and offered a handshake first. If I initiate the handshake, yer shakin my left hand partner

Oh, hey, I also had ingrown toenail surgery a few years ago.
51:03 as someone who had a really bad case of an ingrown nail, i can say that the removal hurts much more than having it, but god rhe relief after was AMAZING
I actually had it (kinda) removed twice and both were fucking horrible. The first time they literally just freeze burnt a part of my nail and toe (which supposedly numbs the area, but in reality I just felt the pain of the burn instead of the pain of the procedure) to cut out the part of the nail that was growing in. But they did a shitty job so i had to come in again months later 🙂 And then they gave me the good old anesthesia, cut my toe open and trimmed my whole nail bed. I didn't feel pain but I still felt every.single.move inside my toe. Oh and I also fainted afterwards lol
So kids, take care of your nails properly and cut it straight or you're gonna SUFFER
Damn, mine wasn't so bad. The anesthesia shot was the most painful part, and they just cut off the half of my toe nail that was inserting itself into my skin. They did not open my toe, though.
@@bluchismoonI'm glad your experience wasn't so bad! I think I just happened to meet a very shitty doctor the first time, since he fucked up my nail even more than it already was (his cut on the nail was so jagged it was like a fork growing into my toe)
The doctor that cut my nail with anesthesia was super nice, and even gave his number to call when I get home, since I fainted but still had to drive home :) but he's my sister's coworker so lol

so the only correct choice is warm water,
because you wash your hands with warm water so that you could wash soap off and that doesn't happen very well with cold water,

i will say exposure to some allergies do help (non deadly ones of course) I use to have a bad allergy to poison ivy and after having it 5 times within 2 years and my eye almost swelling shut now it doesn't really effect me at all

@ when you walk in you’re probably doing something like scatching your head or fixing your shirt so you only got 1 hand free and I just choose whichever tap is closest to my hand when I move it to the faucet

my brother is right handed, but uses his left because of a birth defect that caused his right hand to be deformed, and hes embarrassed about his hand, so he refuses to use his right hand in public and always shakes hands with his left even when people offer their right hand first. tho now that i think about it more, ive never seen him go for a shake first, so afaik he explicitly shakes peoples right hand with his left.

i just regulary remove remove any warts i get myself unless there's something weird about them done it to two on my hand and one on my foot. i sanised my tools clipers and smsllnail scissors is what i used you clip the edges around the wart were it meets the normal skin, the warts are ysyly only connected by a lil stem like thing at there base not their sides think wine glass shape they do bleed a bit but its nothing terrible(side note i am the one people in the house go to to tend to wounds). also love ai, and been sorting through pre made sound and manipulating them into what i plan to use for my eventual podcast it needs to have a specific feel. recently got into modding old nintindo devices as well.

Given the prevalence of how studios use the Wilhelm scream for either serious or comedic effect, I can see Mark's perspective on just having a database of sound effects for studios to use rather than make brand new foley effects for each production. Unless a sound effect is iconic like the transformation sound from Transformers, I don't see any reason for studios to have to produce a brand new sound effect for something generic like water splashes or gunshots for every production.
