They may not remember what you bought them but they'll remember how well you treated them. Their heart will tell them when they get older. That's why you invest in her interest. My mom always let me play with old makeup, and my family always bought me makeup kits for Christmas. I've been a professional makeup artist for many years now, and being able to express myself creatively as a kid was absolutely helpful for me to be able to do what I love every day! It's wild to me that people would criticize your good parenting, and I hope they don't have any kids they're discouraging at home.

It’s not spending money on your daughter that is a bit concerning it’s the idea of preschoolers watching make up videos and feeling the need to be “made up “ to be beautiful. People are naturally beautiful without makeup and expensive products. The emphasis on beauty over hard work, empathy, love, intelligence…. The other thing is valuing new things over appreciation of what one has. New stuff is fun on occasion but it’s not what brings happiness and fulfillment in the end. As a child I would have never noticed lacking stuff but having loving support parents, grandparents and those caring for me to take the time to provide their focused attention had me feeling like I was important. I am sure I am not alone in that.

Then providing meaningful opportunities for learning based on the child’s interests. In our countries, adults need to develop a strong and positive image of the child. Their ideas are important. Their voices can be the strongest and most thought provoking in the room when adults provide opportunities for them to express their ideas. They aren’t just stupid and cute little babies. They are passionate, independent and their ability to learn is limitless.

YES!!! One of my most cherished memories is my Nana letting me use her red lipstick when I was 6! To this day I’m still the mom/family member/friend that others come to for advice in that area & I get just as excited to help every single time! Everyone has something they are good at, or their daily job, but everyone also has one true passion! My 6 yr old is the same & I contribute to that passion of hers in every way possible! When u see someone so young truly love doing something, I don’t see how u could not want to contribute to that happiness!
