Thank you pastor Yankee my wife and I are planning on visiting your church in August. the Lord willing I get a chance to see you and thank you in person. You led me to the Lord here on RUclips and I trusted Christ as my saviour thanks to you and your ministry. It has greatly affected my life and although i am a wretched sinner I have something to hope for and live for and that is sharing the gospel to the lost. If it wasn’t for you I probably would have never heard the gospel! I grew up going to churches and my father was an evangelist but I never understood what Jesus did for me at the cross.. you made it so clear and simple, I was overwhelmed by how much the Lord can love a man like me. I think the confusion lies with the word 'repent'. Nearly every preacher says it means, 'stop sinning', Ps. Arnold is one of the only preachers I know who teaches that it means 'change your mind', I think that is actually what it does mean.
It does mean change your mind. God repented in the old testament, and I don't think God turned from his sin 😂

I received the free gift of eternal life when I was 6 yeas old. i did not have a false belief system to repent of, change my mind, because I did not know their was a false belief system. I knew John 3:16-18 was true because Jesus said it, I believe it, and that settles it God can not lie. I am one of those who have easy believism. How hard is it to believe John 6:47 It makes completer sense to me. If I have to persevere in the faith to get something I already have, that makes no sense.
Free gift makes sense AMAZING GRACE, JESUS PAID IT ALL AND I PAID 0. That makes sense. I had no way to pay my own debt. If you add one work to grace, now it is all works. And no one has ever climbed up some other way. He paid the debt and set me free. Woo Hoo.

All the people who have difficulty believing in His grace and trusting in His finished work on the cross.
You are one of a few. Most are Matthew 7:15-23 false teachers preaching salvation by works. Not Romans 11:6. Not John 6:40. Not John 6:29. Not Romans 4:4-8. They blaspheme God by adding works to grace so they have something to boast in. Romans 3:26-28. If we could do one thing that would save us, then Jesus died in vain.

Trisha Rundle I’ve been under his teaching a long time and I believe he would say yes so long as we yield to Him.
If Holy Spirit attempts to change us, but we must comply. See 2 Tim 2:17-19 - these saved people had there faith overthrown.....but still sealed......the Lord knoweth them that are His.
Where is the change in that? No more faith, still saved.
You can explain the gospel of all grace to people who have been going to their false church for 40 years and tell you, you are crazy. They go to church where they are told that if they repent of their sins and do good works they will go to heaven based on their own merit. So they love to get their ears tickled and believe the lie instead of the truth. John 6:40 Romans 4:5-8. And they hate grace because it gives them nothing to boast in. Romans 3:26-28.
I keep giving up, but I can not. If one person gets saved by believing the gospel, First Corinthians 15:1-4 then it will be all worth it. I can not imagine the horror of Matthew 7:21-23 Just because they did not do the will of His Father in heaven. John 6:40 and John 6:29. They trusted in their own works to save themselves.
@M.G. I’m very sorry but not only is your interpretation of Calvinist theology found wanting, but so is your scriptural knowledge. I hear what you just said all the time. I’ve heard it all my life actually. The problem is it just isn’t true no matter how many times you say it or hear it. What matters is what does the Bible say? That is what we should be concerned about, not affirming our biases about unbiblical positions that make us feel better about ourselves.

Aubrey, then tell people what you believe saves a person. Specifcally use your works (words/actions) to show us what you believe. Also, since you disagree with what everyone says is calvinism and call it false. Why not tell everyone what calvinism is? Define it.

Only the elect are saved, its been predetermined, you have to check if your in the faith, if you have sin, dont do enough good works, dont commit yourself to christ, you may never have ever believed on Jesus to begin with, you must commit your life to christ, turn from your sins and live for God, then also tell yourself Jesus saves you, because even though we work for our salvation, its not us, but we sure put our faith in our works and in ourselves. We prove this to the world by working in inquity. We dont understand James faith without works, but we will use on everyone who says your saved by what Jesus did alone. We refuse to accept one can be saved by him alone, thats just a license to sin... All you want to do is sin, I stop sinning and may even be self righteous enough to say I no longer sin. I think my works to the law (repentance and trying to keep it) means I am saved. Its all about the works!! Remember the fruit the spirit, like the guy up above that insulted me. He called me overweight. The fruit is about being, patient,peaceful, compassionate and loving. This is well known by people who arent calvnists and are actually christian and we should strive not to insult another person and be better people and sin less. But I refute that with my notion he doesnt believe cause he insulted me. So I will go back to sins and if someone sins or isnt pure in all ways like Jesus, they arent saved... Ultimitately what I am trying to say is I save myself and Jesus gives me the means to do so.

In order to go to heaven when we die…
❖ …we would need to have a soul. Do we? Not according to Genesis 2:7.
❖ …we would have to have immortality now. Do we? Not according to I Timothy 6:16.
❖ …we would have to be conscious after death. Are we? Not according to Ecc. 9:4-5.
❖ …we would have victory over death at the moment we die. Do we? Not according to I Cor. 15:54.
❖ …Jesus would bring us down from heaven with him at his 2nd coming. Does he? Not according to Hebrews 9:28.
Why, then, do so many preachers claim that Christians go to heaven when they die?
Read Rev.19:1; Rev_4:1; 1Pe_1:4, Php 3:20; Eph1:10 & 3:15; Psa 23:6; 2Co 5:8 as the verses you mentioned do not support your bullet points and your initial supposition. I know my spirit will be in heaven after I die or when Jesus takes Christians up in a twinkling of an eye because I did the only thing a person can do to get eternal life. I trusted the Lord Jesus Christ as my savior. I pray that you believe in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus when He shed His blood for you as your only way to get eternal life.
James 1:1 states that it’s written to the 12 tribes scattered abroad which is not written to the Body of Christ. It’s written for the tribulation Jews. The Jews had to have faith and do works of righteousness throughout their lives to be saved because they were under the law. But Now, Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that believeth. The gospel for the mystery Body of Christ is 1 Corinthians 15:1-4.

@@lasselarsen6828 i personally believe it is the best translation, for several reasons. However, i know of saved people who use other trans. Check his playlists. He has something in there on it. I believe he is the same----kjv much preferred.
People always get stuck with a bias towards a translation. How I see it, compare all the translations for the best understanding. Some use better word choices then others at times but they mean the same thing. You can also look up the words in greek or hebrew and find the more precise translation. We should strive to get the clearest translation possible, it shouldnt be about sticking to only one translation. It should be about getting as close to Gods true word as possible and translators try their best to do that.
@@lasselarsen6828 I agree, its not just KJV. Plus he lied because I showed a ton of examples where the truth is revealed in a bunch of the translations. Romans 10:9 are all pretty much the same meaning across all translations for example.
