Rewatching GFRIEND MVs because I miss the memories my old happy self that lived along with it. Literally, GFRIEND as a group was lifesaver and a blessing to me.
I'm not really much into K-pop anymore but GFriend are one of the few groups I keep up with. One of the things I think that sets GFriend apart from a lot of other girl groups is the way they dance. They don't dance like they're in a tiny cube. They use the space to make a lot more set pieces in their routine. A great example of what I'm talking about is their routine for Rough. They were great to see live and they bring a lot of energy to the stage. And it's so nice to see Umji getting more parts in their songs. She's really endured a lot of unjust criticism and anybody who says she' isn't pretty is blind.
THIS IS GFRIEND AT ITS FINEST! I love this song and video so much already because it seems to be Gfriend returning to its roots. The musical style. The video. That feeling of innocence. The fancy footwork. It's what made them popular in the first place. I love them so much. Exactly what I told on a comment section on another full album vid of them here on yt. This Gfriend is the best Gfriend, not the "I'm so cool and I am overly dramatic" Gfriend like what they did on their previous album. If they did not do that I cant really imagine how far they are would be up there now, becaue in all honesty, the previous comeback is a very weak one and it hampered their rise so much. They don't need to discover and try new genres, They need consistency and improvement. Teach Sowon how to sing, give her more lines, something like that, not do a complete 360 flip.

I still love the song because, like you said, this is what made me love them first, but I totally loved The Awakening too. This song is just the sweetest and the message of the song is so beautiful. The music video's so cute and the acting for the video's perfect. The energy's amazing and the dance coreography's insane. There singing voices are lovely and everyone looks absoulutly stunning like a real Princess. Love the positive vibe in Gfriend's songs and how close they are. There not just friends there family and that's why I love them so much.
I've watched their dance practice especially "Rough", others say that their dance steps are easy and simple but what I just noticed here is that they're not just dancing, their steps are full of twist and not that easy as what others said, it's just looks simple because their face is full of cuteness while dancing that you can't even notice that they're tired. I wonder who is their choreographer, I mean he/she is so intelligent to create such steps, it's not just a typical dance steps, it's different. I'm not fan of gfriend but I'm starting to like them.
