Yet they listen to songs about Drugs, Murder, adultery, etc Guy's, Sabaton is about the men, women and children on both sides who fought and died for their countries, Sabaton cares more about these people than the Governments of their countries. I just discovered Sabaton 3 days ago, and in that short period of time they've gone from a band "I should check out" to probably the best rock band on Planet Earth. For me, a history fanatic and a fan of rock and roll Sabaton is perfect.
I showed this song to my dad recently and I think it blew his mind just a little 😂 He is: a career army NCO a vet of both the 82nd and 101st the grandson of Swedes who immigrated to the US a lifelong history buff Plus he spent five years living an hour from where Alvin York grew up. Being able to share something that brings together so much of his past with my own love of metal was really special for both of us. Thanks, Sabaton, for doing what you do!

Also, I moved to Tennessee a few months ago, and Alvin York remains a known figure here. There's a monument for him on my college campus and everything.

If its possbile, you can go to the 82nd airborne museum memorial at Fort Bragg, NC. To get on base, you need to show ID and get a pass. It has exhibits pertaining to the 82nd from its formation in WW1 to the present. Plus, there is also the Airborne and Special Operations museum in neaby Fayetteville, NC.
