    Big Circle (Fergus) seems like it's in Great condition for steam and the Whistle sounds very Similar to Donald or Douglas' whistle from the CGI series of Thomas and Friends.

      I've since seen it at the Rushden Transport Museum (when it moved to there from the Battlefield Line) and then at the Nene Valley Railway (when it moved there from Rushden). It's a lovely looking and sounding engine.

    Great video Hayden. Some beautiful engines. It's been years since I've been there. Such a peaceful and quiet location. Best wishes. james:)

      Thanks James, and good to hear fro you by the way :) This was my first visit to this line and I have to say I was impressed. The staff were friendly and the line runs through a wonderful part of Leicestershire. Thanks for viewing and commenting - Hayden.

    Good video, nice to see the loco thats like a traction engine, very inventive. The little 0-6-0 is a lovely loco. Looks like a terrior

      I'd seen video of 'The Blue Circle' (traction engine looking loco) many years ago and was intrigued by it, so I was pleased to finally get the chance to see it for myself. The 0-6-0 is a P Class steam loco built by the same company as the 'Terriers'. The P Class was a more powerful engine that replaced the 'Terriers' on the surburban workings in the capital.

    My uncle and I view this as a traction engine on railway wheels.

      That's basically what it is. It was designed and built by a traction engine manufacturer, Aveling & Porter.

      I'm surprised to hear you haven't heard of Blue Circle. It's been around at the Battlefield Line for some years as I remember having an old VHS tape from many years ago with footage of it on it.

    In another RUclips video I saw of the Blue Circle (AKA Fergus from _Thomas & Friends_), the thing only needed a driver who also served as stoker. Why was there a second person at the helm here?

    • @HomeMoviePerson
      @HomeMoviePerson  9 лет назад

      In this video later on 'Blue Circle' is driver by one person only. The second person in the first shots could have been a junior fireman or cleaner getting experience or just one of the crew wanting a ride or to ease/share the workload :/
