Mother and boyfriend jailed for life over killing of teenage son

A mother and her bodybuilder boyfriend were jailed for a total of at least 78 years for the murder of her teenage son.
Agnieszka Kalinowska, 35, and Andrzej Latoszewski, 38, tortured 15-year-old Sebastian Kalinowski at their home in Huddersfield before he collapsed and died in August 2021.
The pair delayed calling an ambulance while they hid CCTV equipment they had used to spy on the boy and dole out humiliating punishments if he misbehaved.
They were convicted of murder after a trial at Leeds Crown Court, where Mrs Justice Lambert jailed them for life and handed both a minimum term of 39 years. They were also each handed a nine-year sentence for a separate offence of child cruelty to run concurrently.
