There should have been consequences for Rose. If I understood correctly she almost ruined Helen's career just because she saw some pills in her bag and decided she gave them to her mother-in-law. That's very unprofessional. Not to mention the rest of her character which was awful. Karma should have paid her a visit.

i saw this before. I LOVED THIS SERIES, it was one of those random finds. The people are real, flawed, the acting was amazing. I would rewatch this. I hardly ever rewatch series. Maybe almost never. But this was worth it.
Real is a little but it a stretch. People are shocked when this kind of thing happens because most people are not like this, much less complicit in hiding it.

Spoilers: this is only season 1 simon and jemma obsession to destroy one another goes so far there son Tom runs away from home in the last 10 mins of the show and it stop the two of them from ( trying to literally kill eachother) in there track's. They go their separate ways and jemma talks to the camera ( really talking to tom) saying she is here and she is waiting for him to come home but its obvious tom will never come home again.

This is a great story and I've seen it before in Telemundo. It was a Turkish telenovela dubbed in Spanish. The story plot was the same but some tiny changes here. Still great and one of the best novels I've seen.
Dr. Foster is the original and has been adapted for other countries. Its Korean adaptation is the most watched kdrama ton cable tv in that country's history.

What a calm woman to handle that kind of situation, cuz if i were her, I would be totaly hysterical.
I don’t understand the mindset of anybody in this program. The friends who didn’t tell her and actually actively hid the fact. The husband who continues with the denial when he’s been confronted. The wife who would rather play mind games and torpedo her own career than to just have a clean break and start her life anew. They’re like caricatures of people.
Gemma should’ve never tried to help her abused friend. Most of the time those women go back to the abuser. They have to want to leave on their own. There have been new stories about friends who ended up hurt or 6 ft under when the abusive man seeks revenge.
ohhh quiet , theres plenty of ppl I know for a fact wouldnt just leave , right away. Lets be clear when u get to a certain amount of years together it becomes much harder to leave, Some of u havent even been in 8 year relationships , let alone 14 years plus . Especially if u have kids. Its easy to say what ur gain to do but plenty wouldnt actaully do it.
I think there was a lot of money involved in this scenario. Simon had all of her money invested in whatever scene he had going on and she would have lost everything if she had just left right away.
