I'm the same as you buddy. I was unaware of God's Glory and grace back then until For Today was introduced into my life. I became a vocalist and Mattie Montgomery is one of my biggest metal inspirations. I made my lows sound like his. Haha. For Today's faith is stronger now than its ever been and that right there is so encouraging, my friend. Let's continue to live bold and spread the love of Jesus Christ just like For Today!
My boyfriend and I met almost 5 months ago at work,at the time I was satanic,I strayed away from god after I was raped,My boyfriend is in a christian metal band,he played this in the truck...and It sent a shock through my heart, this was the song of salvation for me.God is so amazing,if you let him in.My boyfriend and God have changed my life for the better,It has made me a better mom to my 16 month old son.I pray every night,that something brings everyone closer to God,even the smallest thing.

You can't make someone religious, they have to get there on their own. Anything else would be some kind of Stockholm shit I would think. But not real faith. This is coming from someone who isn't religious and it's pure opinion.

Like I said, while I'm not religious, For Today's music has always made me feel motivated, and it made me feel like there is hope.

It annoys me to see anyone attack my faith, but it annoys me even more when people claiming to be Christians attacking and insulting those that aren't, when we are supposed to be part of a religion of love.

Metal is just another type of music, one that many christians use to glorify God and there is nothing in the bible at all to suggest that its evil. When a Christian hates on heavy music, they might say that it's what the bible says, but its simply them trying to twist the words of the bible to make it support their own point of view. God loves metal.
