I became sick 9 years ago, the doctors couldn't tell me what was wrong, and I became like a zombie. I kept pushing because that's all I knew, and one day it got to the point where I could push no further. I am a father of two young children, and up until recently I had no hope of working again. One day I decided to try to learn some form of coding, and after many days of frustration and headache, I was able to create something that actually worked. It sparked a passion in me, that perhaps I wasn't doomed to just live a life on a couch. I, like you, started joining every course I could find, and over the last few months have learned much. Pressure in life IS how we find purpose, and without it, we are nothing.

Inspiring! This is very timely for me, I'm about to take my Board Exam and somehow losing motivation. Thank you for reminding me again to ask the WHY and for talking about pressurized passion. You deserve more subscribers!
I am so glad that you clearly laid out these two main drivers: Pressure and Passion. Now that I think about it, I learned to program on VBA quickly mainly because I promised a senior colleague that I could help them automate some tedious data gathering and cleaning processes. It felt like setting a challenge, which created a PRESSURE to deliver. Though, it was not a random challenge that I decided to take on. I was actually fascinated at the thought of being able to program something that makes life easier for someone else and enhance the team's productivity. So there was a strong element of PASSION that drove me and helped keep me motivated to learn. I find that whenever either of pressure or passion is lacking, the learning process stagnates. Great content, keep them coming Ignasi!
This all just boils down to find your motivation. For myself, it is the mastery of self. To master self you must know the smallest things and the biggest thing, the shallowest things and the deepest thing. See them laid out in front of you like a map on the ground. If your goal is complete and total mastery of self, you must gain mastery of every element of the world around you.
19 years old, got my first job ever last week. It's a weekend job as a waitress in a hotel. I know (and most of my coworkers already told me) that it's okay to make mistakes and that I should take it easy. And I will take it easy! I just really want to improve asap, don't wanna rush it, but don't want to stall it either. The rough situation my family and I are going through economically has shattered our mental health so I know I shouldn't to push myself too far. Still, I know I will feel great when for example I manage to carry a bunch of plates on one arm. My coworker said he learnt to do it after four or five months in; that's alright, but I feel like I slow them all down, what with being the new kid and all that... also, I really do not want to make the same mistakes I made on this first week (don't spill, don't grab the glasses, no dashing, don't forget everything when you fill the minibars, be quick, be kind but in a formal way, no hiding, have a sharper eye, be helpful). So that's the pressure. The passion comes from wanting to learn and excel in new little somethings everyday, that's been my passion since childhood so, same as always. Nice video
Fantastic. Usually we are afraid and start thinking that it is hard. So i was in that zone meaning, i usually took jobs which needed less experience than what i have (so for example if the job required 2 years and i have 5 years of experience in that technology, i would feel comfortable to apply for 2 years one even if there was another position that requires 5 or more years) because i was afraid and thought that people will reticule me if i speak stupidly or do something stupid. This kind of thinking is what me at the lower positions honestly. But i am going to change it now.
This happened to me when we had a small take out restaurant my mom and her husband opened. He and her divorced right towards the beginning and when he made his exit, he took all the funds we had. So in an effort to stay open since ALL of our livlihood was in the restaurant, I literally learned how to cook every dish (I learned how to cook PERIOD) in a short amount of time, and to even duplicate the stuff that was on the menu. For me, I don't even believe it. But the restaurant stayed open for another year (even though we did eventually close) and our clientelle remained happy with the food.
I would say they are similar, but the difference is that pressurised passion relies on external pressure which one actively creates for themselves, whereas you can enter flow state without that action from your side to increase pressure.

(I hadn't solved them but I told them that I had). He then asked my dad to come after his next class which was 2 days later so he could make me solve those hard ones in front of him. NOW, I didn't want to come out as a liar or ruin my image so, I came under this pressurized passion and solved all questions in those exercises in 2 days. Normally, it would have taken more than a week ngl. Productivity wasat an all time high, and my solving speed was tripled, it was insane. Pressure, in other words, taking the leap. Quit your job and follow your dreams (if you have no dependents). There’s no other choice
That might work for some, might be too extreme for others though.

I have been searching for this "pressurized passion" thing for quite some while . I am just wondering why it is not more talked about . I guess many people share this characteristic.
Indeed, "pressurized passion" is essential for success but often overlooked.

4:14 Raise the Stakes with the Deadline to make your learning hyper focused
Exactly!
What he is basically saying: BURN THE BOATS. Increase your pressure, so you want to do it.

“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.
In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.
And where I go you know, and the way you know.”
Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?”
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

Now i know why i suddenly get motivated to complete all my modules when the day after is the schedule to pass it.i always crave that kind of feeling
That's why I feel unmotivated when pressure is absent on a job or performance
Indeed, it's about using pressure to your advantage
So you're saying become "obsessed" over the topic.
It's a mechanism to achieve that
