- I decided to upload this oldie rip on here just...... cause, lol. It's been on my usb drive forever, haha.
I ripped it from the original FUNimation single DVD, so it came out in better quality than the 'remastered' orange brick set, but the downside was that I had to rip it in mono to get rid of the vocals successfully, and there is alot of 'clicky, crackly ' sounds from what is left over after editing out the SFX and vocals.
I really wish that Faulconer would of gotten around to releasing this one when he was still doing the CD's.... :(
Oooh, and for those who have been asking where I get the screenshots for my videos. I edit them together myself. I don't have any of the bluray's, so I just take DVD screenshots, upscale them, and digitally edit/clean them up in Photoshop. It takes a while to do each one, but I like the outcome. :)
"You're looking at a rare fighter there. A guy like this one can quadruple his fighting power in an instant. I estimate when he really gets going that he'll have a power level of sixty thousand"
"What?! 60,000?! But he said he was a Saiyan. No bloody Saiyan we've ever fought was that strong!"
Best stare down ever
haha i remember this clearly
Man I fucking love the Ginyu Force theme paying during the staredown
Me too.
Super Kamehameha Yeah that shit be don't it. Doo Doo, Doo Doo I like that part. LMAOOO BTW I hope U know I'm not actually saying 💩.
Zerucke Lol, That junk don't be Bullshittin now. Doo Doo, Doo Doo, Doo Doo. BTW I don't mean 💩 lol. it's just that beat.
Ginyu and Frieza saga had THE BEST soundtracks in DBZ. PERIOD!
There was so much music written for the first 8 Faulconer shows or so. 5:12 is one of those things I never found a use for as an editor, but that's partly because I couldn't keep all that music in my head. I wish I had reused that somewhere.
+Morganstudios I had a habit of using Ginyu music for Android 16, it probably would have been great for him actually.
+Marcelo Zuniga Usually music was written "to picture" meaning for a specific scene matching the action, though some themes were written as beds to be used later. A lot of the Garlic Jr pieces were prewritten beds since we didn't get those episodes for a while. Some of the Trunks pieces were also beds, like Episodic Trunks and the Destruction themes. The early shows, like here in the Ginyu saga, were especially written to picture, moment for moment since they were just starting to build a library (I didn't come in until mid Frieza Saga)
Marcelo Zuniga To be honest, I've only really watched bits and pieces of the Buu saga and couldn't speak very authoritatively on the editing there.
You guys did a amazing job and inspire me and others to keep the Z music alive. Thank you for that!
6:55
Gohan: Rrgh, I've had enough of this, I'm going to help him!
Piccolo: No wait!
Gohan: I can't, my dad's getting destroyed out there!
Piccolo: Be patient, Goku isn't finished yet.
Krillin: Huh?
If my guess is right Frieza's in for a big surprise
*Spirit bomb music cues*
And even that was no match for Frieza.
The whole namek/Frieza saga was incredible. From the music, fights to the storyline. Plus we got our first super sayin experience
Back when base forms and power levels mattered!
Yeap, to me, the peak of DBZ. Cell saga was good but it certainly went downhill after Namek/Frieza arc, back when power levels and base forms actually mattered!
The little subtle differences in each track especially for around 6:00 on really is impressive to me! Just when you think you know each track back to front, another riff comes in, just slightly different in pitch. But still awesome, every single chord. This is why I'll always love the OST. Mega phreesh to Mike and the guys once again!! 😁💖
I’ve been looking for this specific soundtrack for MONTHS when I started watching the original funimation dub from 1999. The Namek/Frieza saga had some of the most interesting music choices. Plus I love the Ginyu force theme with a passion lol
6:55 it kinda reminds me of Metroid Prime soundtrack.
I love this theme :D
RIP Brice Armstrong
Music at 6:54
Vegeta "Hmm. Kakarots power is increasing"
Nappa "They were weak. Just like you are"
Goku walks up to Nappa without of shred of fear.
NoHuddleNoMercy uh, I'm almost positive faulconer music didn't play in the Saiyan arc
Saiyan Saga and Namek Saga never had Faulconer’s music. This music is from episode 68 which was the first with the Faulconer score.
@@hypn0298 I know this
6:04 “meet the boss mate his name is captain ginyu and he would like to have a word with you considering our encounter earlier .
This the first score by Faulconer that we're exposed to in the series. Up until this point, Yehoshu'a Levy has been scoring each episode for the Ocean dub. Goku has disposed of Burter and Jeice has fled to alert the Captain. The dramatic change for a recurring theme through the series is replaced by multiple individual themes for both characters and events in addition to the atmosphere of the episode.
Have fun Kakarot! HAHAHA
CrypticSin Man... you dirty dog...
Vegeta!!
That part at 4:07 is my fave! :)
idc what ppl say, this was one of the greatest fights just seeing goku be so serious, 6:06 ginyu force theme song
6:05 I know what you are.. you're no ordinary sayian.. your a..a.. SUPER SAYIAN !!!
2:20 "No way! I can't even watch a soap opera!"
Please rerip this
wow you came back, been looking for this 1 btw
Yes sir, that's exactly what im saying..
John Travolta Jackin it in ma space pod sir..
John Travolta Jeice did it
I've heard 6:54 in other episodes, so maybe ripping from those might produce better results
I'll check when I have the time and be more specific, but I remember it playing when Gohan was getting mad and wanting to help Goku fight Frieza ( before the spirit bomb ) for sure. I'll look elsewhere. However, this was an old rip so maybe the new way you guys rip may produce better results.
Amazing! and i dont mean to sound stupid or hate but is there a way to get rid of those "crackling" sounds?
What soundtrack is it in 4:07?
Also again in 6:04
