    Highly recommend getting a rolling cart (like ones people use for art supplies) to keep diapers, wipes, creams, powder, muslins, snacks and water bottle (for you) to have within your immediate reach in your bedroom. Sometimes you’re stuck with a baby nursing or sleeping on you and you can’t move so it’s really helpful to have in your bedroom and can roll it around your house if needed.

    The big bed in baby’s room is a good idea because some days baby will be sick/fussing and one of the partners will need to sleep. You really can’t crawl in the crib with the baby but you might want to be pretty close.
    It is also good for the first few weeks or months if you have people visiting or coming to help you and you they have a place to stay or rest. At first the baby is going to be sleeping with you for sure so having that extra bed is not a bad idea.

      We moved three months after our son was born, and wound up not even setting up the crib in our new house. Instead we got a twin-sized floor bed and that’s where he sleeps (he’s nearly two). It’s so convenient for those nights when he needs a little extra help sleeping: one of us can snuggle up with him in bed and we all get rest. Highly recommended strategy.

    We moved this weekend, and unpacking is turning out to be more overwhelming than we thought because we need space to build furniture, store boxes, but also live and work. This series is helping me find start small and I'm seeing progress, thank you!

      Congratulations on the move! Unpacking is a task and a half but it'll be so worth it when it's done 😄

    I guess this series unconsciously triggered my inner cleanup demon haha. I have been more aware of what I buy for a while now, but getting rid of old keepsakes has been difficult. But yesterday I sorted through the whole attic after needing to put away the Christmas stuff, and this morning I bought a lot of old toys to the local secondhand store, gave a microwave away to a friend who is moving and vacuumed all the leftover crumblies.

    I've just recently got around to donating all my old franes that I've been collecting for literal decades, it felt so good to let them go! Loving these decluttering videos ❤

    While I love watching decluttering videos, my mum and I were stressing out to make sure you were resting between rooms and taking breaks. 😅
    Have a good weekend Lucy!! ❤

    I love watching these decluttering videos; it makes me feel so virtuous, like I am actually doing something. And it does inspire me to tackle some mess of my own.

    Tipp for yellow pit stains: put a bit of citric acid dissolved in water onto the pits of your white things and let it sit for a few minutes before washing. stains that are already there might not dissolve right away but after a few washes they will lessen considerably and it works to prevent them too.

    Not excessive to keep 2 blow dryers. It’s sucks when one goes out.

    Ha Loepsie, heerlijk weer zo'n opruimronde 😄 Ik zat te denken toen je het over het logeerbed had: waarom combineer je in de grote slaapkamer niet het logeerbed met jullie kantoorruimte? En dan de babykamer in de kleine slaapkamer. Iemand laten logeren in de ruimte waar ook jullie kantoor is, voelt denk ik voor geen van beide partijen 'gek'. Zomaar een ideetje hoor. Succes en veel plezier met het nestelen 😊

    • @Loepsie
      @Loepsie  6 месяцев назад +3

      Omdat we dan heel snel weer alles om moeten gooien... Beter meteen de definitieve kinderkamer maken en het kantoor laten waar het nog jaren kan blijven, scheelt een hoop gedoe en geld 😜

    • @letitiarademakers6304
      @letitiarademakers6304 6 месяцев назад +1

      Ik had precies dezelfde gedachte. Kleine kinderen spelen eigenlijk op zn vroegst vanaf een jaar of 6 op hun eigen kamer. Tegen die tijd krijgen ze een groter bed, een complete verfbeurt van de kamer en een bureautje, dus gooi je de kamer toch om. Zo'n extra kamer met kantoor geeft echt veel lucht, ook om tijdelijk speelgoed te stallen waar niet mee gespeeld wordt. Een korte periode later is het dan weer nieuw.

    Please be mindful using candles around an infant. Soot can build up in your little one’s nose.
