People really should learn how to behave in a zoo. 3 main rules: 1) never climb over the fences 2) never feed the animals 3) never purposely try to upset the animals especially the ones that could turn you into a local news article if they had the chance

Zoos play an important role in conservation. Many keep animals that cannot go back into the wild or were never wild. Such is the case with Murdock the tiger in this video. He is a Siberian tiger that was taken from a circus. Zoos(at least legit ones) are prohibited from buying animals and can only accept rescues or trade with other zoos. They are important for breeding and for keeping the generic pool alive. Several species are still alive because of zoos such as but not all the lionheaded tamarin the condor and the bongo. Because of zoos there is a chance we return the northern white rhino. Yes some zoos suck and to be fair Sofia zoo is not the best but they try hard and one thing they do good is the vulture reintroduction program. It's easy to day zoos are bad cause ooh caged animals. But those animals cannot survive outside of this environment. It's like sating orphanages are bad cause parentless kids. It is part of an issue but not the problem. The real issue is how those animals ended in that zoo. And the reasons are lack of habitat deforestation and poaching. Zoos(legitimate ones) are a bandaid to a far bigger issues. Because many species in zoos have no safe place to go and are at huge risk of crashing. Cause it only takes one idiot with a match to destroy a endangered species. And in those moments we want to have a backup. Cause yes this tiger will never be wild and his whole life will be in a cage. But his children can bring biodiversity to a crashing population and be wild. And this is why zoos are important. Because it's not about the good of those few but the chance that the species.
Hell yah. I hate jail... I say free all the animals and convicts ... ( Except chomos, rapos, and murderers depending on the murder cuz some are legit. And free all my wild animals in the cage.... Fuck authority and the crooked system . Why should government make laws they want? I never agreed to that shit. I never pledged my allegiance to the government . Why should I have to listen to how they want me to live ?
We humans are really the animals. Disgusting.
It's animal cruelty to keep an animal in a cage
A while back we visited a big cat and bear santuary in San Diego (not a part of the famous San Diego Zoo). These were animals that were rescued from illegally owned private zoos and residences, but could no longer be released into the wild. When we viewed the tiger, we were instructed to stand a good twenty feet back from the lion's enclosure and to not provoke it in any way, including making direct eye contact. An animal like a tiger needs to be shown respect and given personal space. It's bad enough that it has to live in captivity.

Seing a zoo as just a theme park is a huge missunderstanding of what they are for. Yes they accept guests but the guest are nothing. That zoo in particular can't even feed that tiger with the money it gets from tickets. It's job is to educate yes but also to conserve those animals. I would heavily suggest researching it because it might be hip to hate on zoos. And believe me some absolutely deserve it but saying all zoos are bad just tells me you have no idea of what you talking about.
@@acheronalexandernot every zoos work like that...zoos like the australian zoos from the irwins are such zoos who have the passion and helps in conservation etc but zoos like this are only made to gain profit...sadly the zoos like the australian zoos are rare
@@greybo4034 they are not rare. There aren't many that are on this scale and so but even small zoos can help out on the local level. Even the zoo in the video does it. They breed vultures for reintroduction and last year for the first time we got black vultures nesting. Zoos are rarely that profitable at the small stage. Sofia zoo is a good example. They get so little and try so hard to use what they have. They made new big cat and primate exibits. You can't judge a zoo by just how it looks. There is a lot of background stuff. Yes an animal in a shoebox is not good but you can't judge that from a video. There are zoos that are for profit but it's usually the hands on experience. Pet the tiger cubs for example. And those zoos are rare due to animal protection laws. The issue comes when some countries do not have animal and wildlife protection laws. Also the association for ethical zookeeping is a good way to judge if animals are kept well. Unfortunately not all zoos in my country are like sofia zoo. There are 2 Sofia and Dobrich that are gold and are also in the Association. They can trade animals with other zoos when needed and have to cover the requirements of animal keeping and quarantine.
I wish there were no zoos...who gave human the authority to cage someone
@@ananyaaich3421 zoos are important for animal conservation. Several species are alive because of them. It's not for people entertainment they exist. It's for breeding rehabilitation and conservation. Vondors lionheaded tamarins and Horses of Przewalski would be extict without the effors of zoos. Also several animals(such as this tiger) come from situations that don't allow being released. Injured animals use zoos as hospitals they raise orphans and take car of animals that can never go to the wild. This tiger can never go to thw wild. But his young can. And this is when zoos can stwp in. Cause poachers and habit distribution don't care about the animals. Zoos are a necessary evil. Because nature is not king enoigh to forgive injuries and misfortune. And trough zoos animal that ware just unfortunate can have a second chance.

Never heard something more majestic attractive and terrifying at the same time than that
Dude if I was stuck in a craphole like that I'd be more than angry
01:48 , lower your volume, trust me ...
Yea.. i was wearing earphones...... R.I.P ears😂
😂😂
Also @ 1:02
Yeah that kinda made my heart jump a little bit lmao
Also don't tigers use this kinda roar to stun their prey I heard. Now I can see why 😂
Really I got scared, Cause I was reading comments.
I've never understood people that treat animals like this. Those buttholes taunt them, don't respect them and don't appreciate the miracle of nature. The whole point of going to a zoo is having the ability to see these amazing animals safely, not to stress them out. It is our duty to safeguard and ward them considering how much our species has hunted them and destroyed their habitats
Beautiful cat.
Heartbreaking. This beautiful creature deserves so much better
Don't provoque this dangerous animal, it's dangerous for your Life
I'm just watching the video and that roar scared the shit out of me!
Would be terrifying in person.........can't even imagine hearing that in the wild with no bars.
Uhmm yh, nice kitty.. backing away shaking and half frozen in terror lol.
That and a male lion roar, ouch.
Doesn't look THAT big, idk some are bigger seems.
I just hope he has a big outside enclosure to go to also.
Zoos should make sure that visitors don't taunt these animals in any way.
Тигр требует уважение к себе.
Oh gosh, tigers are vengeful animals. Surely one day, this one gona come after ya , old man. Dont ya mess with a tiger, man. There are histories that tigers went search for some poachers, waited and made the kills. Imagine your pathetic situation at that moment.
Have to appreciate tiger's patience seeing human jokers and taunters day in and day out all days!!
These powerfull creatures demand Respect 🙏
Most powerful big cat in the world ❤🐯

"My kitty rage bOoOoils humons..one day..one day..one of you is gonna face my wrath..you'll slip up!!.. and when you do...dinner..."
