Great job guy's.to think that beautiful home survived the 1900 storm which the hurricane surge covered the whole island is incredible. One of the only homes to was not distroyed. I love Galveston, it's a wonderful city.👍👏👑
Every year st Christmas time, when they have Dickens on The Strand, differently decorated Christmas trees are set up in every room! A Choir performs. Hot Chocolate is served. Handmade Christmas Ornaments and other treasures are stocked for sale in a gift shop with all proceeds going to the restoration!
the things that people have erased from the authentic.. is cigarettes and ashtrays and matches. These details were a daily part of most everybody's life. These things were in most rooms. They had ashtrays built in to students desktops, at colleges and universities. Ashtrays in hospitals and bus stations, airports and corporate office buildings, stairwells and lobbys.

We toured it and what I remember most is the sadness. The family lost so many as children and young adults. Terribly sad.

I'm not sure, I actually live in Louisiana, but visit Galveston often. Hotel Galvez, and Walmart in Galveston, are both supposed to be very haunted

William Lewis Moody Jr, his family, and descendants. Family owns allot in that area, including Moody Gardens
