I live in Michigan and some of my local rite aids closed but the one near me is still open

5:25 The one at the end looks like an old retail store like Bradlees, Hills or Ames. Cool building structure regardless. That entire parking lot at the end too is like a frickin' 80s/90s time capsule. I miss Kmart and Toys R Us so much.
I’ll always find abandoned places so eerie, because depending on how long it’s been closed, you don’t truly know who or what’s lurking inside, even if it’s totally empty 🐸
Yeah a old shopping mall near me was packed with drug addicts and well see endless needles everytime we go into it. It sadly did catch fire and completely burnt too the ground.

I know exactly where that Toys R US and K-Mart are! I was there 2 days before the K-Mart closed. In fact, there was abandoned Mall across from the K-Mart, called "Wayne Hills Mall". That was demolished a few years ago and now is a Shop Rite. But the K-Mart and Toy's R Us remain!
It’s crazy cuz this was my Toys R Us as a kid and just by the thumbnail I knew it was the one in Wayne. Suprised he also didn’t show the IHOP nearby that’s been abandoned forever

11:33 my mom worked at a Kmart as a pharmacist back in 2016. It closed in 2017 and she transferred to Harbor Freight. She didn’t know much about tools so she went to a new pharmacy. Back in about 2018/2019 that closed down. Then she started working at 2 rite aids. Then she stopped working at one and stayed at the other. She still works part time there. Then back in 2021/2022 she started working at UPMC, still as a pharmacist. Back in 2023 she started to go on call to deliver medication to places like nursing homes. She still works there. About 4 years later in 2021 the Kmart became a rural king. It still is a rural king. That Kmart made me feel nostalgic. It looked just like the one she worked at. It’s funny how places change, isn’t it?

This was my local toys r us, it’s a retro location, being one of the few intact abonded locations still have most elements from the 80s, it’s also only a mile away from the corporate HQ
I actually live close to the abandoned Toys r us and Kmart, nice to see the signs still up like 7 years later PS. The Burlington next to the both is prob closing some time soon

My brother and I actually went inside that abandoned ToysRUs in Wayne, NJ maybe a week after it originally closed and it was actually pretty spooky.
Since someone had to be lookout, I stayed by the opened side door and when he went inside, all he heard were beeps and alarms as he ran to the front window and back to the door where we left.
We went inside for literally one thing... An abandoned That's So Raven board game.
Worth it.

My local Blockbuster became a furniture store and then an antique shop after it closed down. Currently, the building is available for lease but to my surprise, the empty insides still kept the classic blue and yellow interior, along with the drop box

I always love to see RUclipsrs exploring abandoned places. There's something that draws me to them, could be for my love of the strange and mysterious, who knows. There's a TGI Friday near where I live, but there's only ever like 4-5 cars at it whenever I drive by it.

My grandpa was the manager of that Friendly's. I used to go there every week as a kid to get free lunch. Its sad to see it go now.

The toys r us near me was turned into a planet fitness with a small store next too it, the kmarts near me were also turned into home improvement stores. A local Chucky cheese restaurant was turned into a korean restaurant, blockbuster stores were turned into miscellaneous stores. The old burger king and mc Donald's restaurants were rebuilt too the new styles.

This isn't really abandoned, but my school used to be a mall/movie theater that was had a water fountain inside, and if I were to go to that mall, it wouldn't be a good one, it was very empty on the photos I found.
I remember i used to go to an old kmart near my house and i got a finding nemo pillow and that pillow is one of my favorite memories

An early 2010s kid here. It was so sad to see my favorite store of all time decay like this. I remember the TRU employees grabbing massive play sand bags and putting it in our car.

At American Dream Mall they have a toys r us with a big slide i traveled on a plane to get there and the hotels are nice!
