Angelo. I don't think I'm the only one waiting for a longer review of the ES920. I've been waiting for that review for like 2 or 3 weeks; just after I saw your P-525 videos. Very useful stuff. I'm likely to buy a P-525 next year.

After trying P 515, Roland X60, got this ES920...to my opinion its best for today's top keyboards...
Have no intend to compare to ES8 because it's not available long time for sale.

Interesting I own an es920, I always thought es8 which I had tried long before was better sounding when trying in store long time back. But I didn’t get es8 because it was known for having keyed issues , and was way expensive . So I bought p515, which I didn’t lile as much, so then got es920 after selling p515, but always thought es8 was best digital piano ever. But es920 was supposed to have addressed the keybed issues and knock wood, haven’t had issues yet

I played loads of Kawai ES8 keyboard and never heard of any keyboard issues at all. They were brilliant for reliability.

Bonjour moi je réfléchis sur la comparaison entre le kawaii CN 301 et Le Kawaï ES 920. Paraît-il que le moteur de son n'est pas le même, mais je sais pas si ça fait une réelle différence de beauté de son...

Yes friend, I bought the Kawai ES520 because the action is fast enough to be able to play any music without any problems, no
Kawai ES920 is a constant fight against action, I saw this in the store. RH III pressure point simulation is a terrible error from kawai. Roland fp30x suffers from the same error.

how is the p525 compared against ES520? I'm kind of thinking of getting one of those... I have the fp90x currently but they keys on PHA-50 are pretty heavy I would say. They feel nice but for fast stuff its pretty challenging and its always a gamble if I can get all the notes at the right dynamics on fast passages... which is unacceptable. Some people say that es520 has noisy keys and the built quiality is pretty bad for the price- not very durable and won't last say 6-7 years. So I'm more inclined towards the yamaha currently. The best would be to keep the fp90x and figure a way to reduce the weight of keys because the built quality of roland is really premium but I'm not sure that is possible

@@radoslavdragnev8797 cant tell you about the 525 , but I have the 515 and the es 520.... the 520 has a light action...feels like a keyboard...the 515 a very heavy sturdy action....feels a bit like an acoustic upright.... if you like mellow sounds , the kawai is a better choice....the keys of the kawai are a bit noisy when released....thats true.... the best keys and feel ,i get from my mp11se....

The Roland FP90x is still a light action compared to a proper concert grand action. My advice would be to get more familiar with grand piano actions and it will make your Roland seem light. Alternatively, keep practicing and get more familiar with the Roland action. I can easily play concertos on the FP90x so it's great for an advanced player on a budget.

the ES920 needs external speakers, I'm a lot more happier with it now I have a pair. Sounds like a grand piano now. Get the right frequency range tho

amazing playing. The ES 920 needs good speakers, sounds a lot better decent externals. Keyboard is a bit noisy when using headphones

I’ve used it numerous times on stage and in studios through professional gear and it has still never once matched the realism of the ES8. I understand what you mean but I’ve done this as a comparison and the ES8 still performs much better using any kind of external speakers. The ES8 also sound better when going through the ES920s speakers 😂

How is the action on the es920 compared to the p525?

    • @bobaasmr9347

The action of the es920es is quite good. I own one. I chose it over the Yamaha p525 although i like both. both aren’t perfect. A piano is better. A Kawai mp11se would be better than both but not portable.

Pardon my in English because my language is spanish but I would like to ask you about digital keyboards,..... which keyboard has a heavier action, Yamaha p 525 or Kawai es 920? I own and I'm accustomed to play on a upright piano. If you can help me to discern, I will appreciate it. I bought a Yamaha p125@ and I find it to soft for my hands. I just want a good digital keyboard so I can practice at nighttime without making noise.
