I know a lot of people think that it is the same as all reverse harem but its actually not it doesn't revolve around romance all that much and if you play the game it is heartrenching and tear jerking and surspenceful so if you play the game it will make you rethink on the game and anime

Episode 5 just finished on the Game's Chapter 7. That being said, Chapter 8 was episode 4, so they're not exactly going in order. Also, a lot of the later lore in the game has been shown as early as the first episode. No clue where they're going or how far or if it'll be a completely unrelated ending.
But the game has about 21 chapters unless they put a few chapters in each episode. But then again the chapters do go by quick. I'm still playing, up to chapter 6.

The opening is OP as a game player a lot of this brought me a lot of nostalgia. If anyone new is watching all I will say is that there's some dark plots of the story but way later. ;) as well as some romance but it'll depend on how MAPPA does the story and romance. If anyone has played before you know what I'm talking about. Let's all unite and watch new and old fans alike. Full on Gavin stand here.

It's Yunki Not Yoongi agreed, I've played a number of these games trying to find a good story. This is on a whole other level and my style. It doesn't ONLY focus on romance but on everyone and how it all connects, plus it's dark and supernatural. Perfect❤️

@@Animeworld-wu1uq I don't think one season would cover all 30-ish chapters (Chinese ver). The thing is, after chapter 18, you choose which guy to follow in the game. You get all routes free, you just have to earn stuff for each guy to play their route. That being said, I think the anime will go until around chapter 18. They could change the plot there to make an "ending" and make viewers want to play the full game. No guy is canon in the game ver. Anime ver? We'll have to see.

I think what you mean is that after chapter 18 there's a specific chapter where you could choose to spend time with one guy (or more if desired) almost like choosing a route,
But after that chapter, it goes back to the main storyline.
Looks like the most interesting reverse harem in some time with a nice storyline. Also this looks really good, idk what wizardry MAPPA is doing right now but it's crazy.

It depends how many chapters of the game this season includes. Atm looks pretty much that they have made a whole game to this one season because they have skipped A LOT of things already and only 2 episodes released... Pretty sure that we are not getting season 2.
saniterexaツ there’s a chance when the Chinese episodes are translated and put onto the English server. They have 36 chapters released now and will probably release more. Maybe in 2-3 years we get a second season if the anime now becomes successful 😄

I’ve watched this opening so many times now, and as I keep progressing further into the game I keep picking up on pieces of foreshadowing in it. The worst ones have to be the ones in plain sight, you just don’t notice them or pay them any mind unless you’ve already seen what happens and know what they mean.

Ok I’m super late but really quick, if you enjoyed the anime, was confused, or any feeling really, try out the game! It’s much more detailed and in depth, not to mention the story only gets better and better, with more and more angst. It’s a little hard to figure out at first but is 100% worth it!!

Rhythm Emerald yess another gavin stan! he’s the absolute best and i sometimes feel like he isn’t appreciated enough, gotta shower that boy with all the love 🥺 & i feel like they’re gonna adapt pretty far into the game, just from my observations of like the poster (at least on crunchyroll) cuz gavin’s outfit appears much later, and then in the opening where MC is dancing by herself and her outfit 👀

There's also a lot of really cute things in the game like where he said not to worry about putting on weight (after everyone commented about her snacks) and making sure taking care of herself is her first priority. In my favorite phone call so far, Gavin almost dies and his biggest worry is not about his life but rather the fact he wouldn't be there for her. Meanwhile Kiro's trying to get her to eat junk food, Lucien's continuing to be stalker-y and Victor wont stop calling her idiot lol

Wish the anime was longer. I have been reading thr game play and the plot is so substantial. So much potential here. Also wish that Japan would produce more animes where the characters are more mature and not eternally 16!

If anyone watched this anime, don’t forget to play the game! It’s on the App Store and google play in pretty sure! The app is a free dating sim though, it’s very appropriate tho. Cleaner than mystic messenger. It’s even 9+. Great show and game!

*SPOILERS BE AHEAD FOR THE LATER(ISH) GAME STORY*
The opening when they're grabbing/hugging/protecting mc it shows how they each show their love for her
Victor carries her- his love is in supporting her, whether financially or careerwise, or in pushing her to be her best self. He can be tough in his wording or in his love for her, but he truly wants to push her to be her best, and support her unconditionally in doing so
Lucien wants to push her aside and protect her, literally shield her from all the pain and danger from the world, including himself, which is why in the game he's a lot more hesitant to kiss her or like date her in a way. It's like a push and pull, where he wants to get close to her for his own gain, for his mission, as he was supposed to, but then he truly gets feelings for her and breaks away from his faction to protect her and pursue his own means of evolution. However, his ideas clash with MC's beliefs and together she tries to convince him of a better alternative, especially since she's the Queen
BUT ANYWAY
onto Kiro-
He hugs her and holds her from behind
As seen in his episode, and then in latter episodes, he rather protect and love MC from the shadows, he rather love her in secret, in private, and hide his darker self from her. He's very self sacrificing, whereas Lucien is more selfish haha. He has an alter ego, Helios, which is part of Black Swan, the man with the white hair and punk outfit; and thats why he denies being Kiro because he doesn't want MC to see him like that.
Then Gavin also hugs her and holds her but they both look at each other. Gavin and MC are equals, in their story, they both save each other again and again. In their past, during that scene where he was in high school and he was falling from the building he was GOING to allow himself to fall and die but then he heard MC's piano and decided he would fight to live.
Long story short I love the game, loved the anime, I HOPE they come out with future seasons because I just can't afford (time or money wise) to keep spending so much time on the game and the story is SO GOOD.

As i thought, Gavin is the canon one(for the romance i mean, the Guy we should end up with) in the story, the opening nearly confirmed it to me🤔
He's the only where it's explicitly said that he already loves us in the main and canon story and his card in game are in général pretty much more powerful than other. Also directly get a card with him when you but something, and he has the more developed background from what i know, especially with us, and he's the only that we didn't forget about when we Saw him again. Most of his actions revolve around mc too. Édit: also in opening, Always the last one to be with us when all boys are showed one after another
Not that i'm against it, it in fact makes it easy to get the romantic part done in the end(if they do it, i'm waiting for the anime to end and also get to watched it) and he is not a bad ml ^^

I'm not so far in the story but well it cleary seems like if there was a supposed canon ending it would be him or Victor. Like Shara in rune Factory 4. I had a Heart attck when i saw her face instead of the girl i choosed to marry in the opening of game after the wedding😭😂
I would have to revised my point of the card power: he cleary has one of the most powerful card of the game in a certaine rarity, but in général seems like his card aren't much more powerfulful than the reste.
And i don't know, thé interaction between him and the mc since the beggining ? Thé only one who get that sort of treatment is Victor .... Well i will just continue playing the game and see if the other get that too
