- The Hound chops up Beric Dondarrion but he comes back thanks to this 'Lord of Light' guy! He also talks with Arya Stark about the other times he's been killed.
Game Of Thrones Season 3 Episode 5
I do not own this copyright belongs to HBO
Everyone's out here playing the Game of Thrones while Beric is playing Dark Souls.
Elden ring
@@tntextreme1965 I enjoy that the eyepatch cosmetic option in Elden Ring is straight up Beric's.
😂😂
Lol. Yeah, but he is clearly using mods and cheats that ensure no enemies respawn after resting at a campsite.
Just realised he's absolutely camping that bonfire
Beric: "That's the second time I've been killed by a Clegane."
Thoros: "You'd think you'd learn."
lmao.
Damn
both of them are Dark and Lost souls.
when the Dialoge was still great.......
faster than Redwoman...More advance technique no waters needed
+orlee santillana Well, he's Mike Strutter.
orlee santillana It was the first time, Thoros has done it like 6 times.
@Ben i was thinking he may have had strongfaith, red woman sorta started losing hope and questioning the lord of light which why jon took forever to come back alive
It's because Thoros has more levels in attunement.
Odds are thoros probably was the better priest, imagine if he served stannis instead of mel 👀
This is the Arya Stark we loved. Not the robotic psychopath with no motivation in S7 and S8
@Ferdi Kılınç™🔥 Naah she was more like 2016's version of "not like other girls"
Yeah they really ruined her. Same with Bran. And it's a shame because both actors were superb for children and deserved better character arcs.
They tried so hard to make her seem so badass and cool … yeah…
they turned both of them into redditors who act mysterious
The only Stark child who get a realistic character development all the way till season 8 is Sansa.
Lord, cast your light upon this man, your servant
Bring him back from death and darkness
His flame has been extinguished,
Restore it!
He says "the night is dark" too at the end. Maybe he was intended to say "the night is dark and full of terrors"?
Yep. The full prayer is “Lord cast your light upon this man, your servant, bring him back from death and darkness. His flame has been extinguished, restore it! For the night is full of dark and terrors.”
@@aegonthedragon7303 - gonna try to bring my dog back using this incantation

Yeah even the hound was amazed and terrified that the man he killed came back to life, making him realize that their are higher powers in the world after all.
Most times when you kill someone they have the good manners to stay dead.
Given how quickly and frequently R'hllor resurrects him, I'm saying that Beric is the Prince that was Promised.
beric targaryen
Lol nope
Eric Wolfsberg I wish.
Sam the prince who was promised is predicted tocome from the Targaryen line (Jon snow as he is a Targaryen).
Sam I meant to say that Jon snow is thought to be the prince who was promised as he is of stark blood (ice) and Targaryen blood (Fire) in game of thrones. Something about being born from ice and fire(or ashes, can’t recall). In the books, it’s anyone’s guess (front runner being stannis)
Arya's face after Thoros says, "I don't think it works that way, child." The glint of tears in her eyes as she barely holds her pain in. Maisie Williams is amazing, honestly. What an extremely sad moment.
More credit to the music composer for that scene in my opinion.
I love how he tries to comfort her in that moment.

This was such cheap, poor writing.
Tp consider Death as something bad or evil is the dumbest thing ever. Death is a natural part of life, it’s not a prison to be escaped nor is it an enemy to be conquered, it’s simply an end to our beginning.

Yep. They Fought together once upon a time.
God, they hit gold with this actor and so badass his first resurrection
He was Chad
It's absolutely spit take inducingly hilarious when you remember the original actor for Beric. Like, no offence to the poor guy, but he looks closer to one of the goofier Dwarves in the Hobbit movies, let alone compared to this legend.

This was 1000% a foreshadowing for Lady Stoneheart, they just didn’t have the budget and didn’t want to dilute the john snow revival
Yup. So sad
I miss Beric, I've thought I'll see him more in the show.
He died in the books at around S3 to bring back catelyn. We saw him in some good scenes even after the book coverge for the show ended.

Is it really foreshadowing? Resurrection is part of the storyline they follow, that's all. They've just showed it twice now.
Just because something happens then happens again doesnt make it foreshadowing, dipstick
The burn in hell part was foreshadowing
Name calling, Really?

One of the most emotional part of GOT😳😭
I always feel whenever I see it😭😭😭🥺🥺🥺
Im feeling hopeful that melisandre will help jon snow! I mean cmon...after jon killed that white walker and the way the night's king looked at jon snow during the battle, im sure its not yet the end of snow!
Mechelle Ico Melisandre will resurrect him. He will be reborn as Azor Ahai. "I pray for a glimpse of Azor Ahai, and R'hllor shows me only Snow."
Colonel Kill Azor Ahai?? is that a fact or?? But i have a source who told med some good news about that resurrection :)
Brian Hansen Yea it's a fact. In the last Long Winter Azor Ahai saved the world from the White Walkers.
Colonel Kill Does that mean a new actor? Azor Ahai inside Jon Snows body? Jon Snow inside Azor Ahai body? Jon Snow the new Azor Ahai? is Azor Ahai a person or does he just represent a savior.

"Jon's presence in the forthcoming volume The Winds of Winter is uncertain; when asked in 2011 by Entertainment Weekly "Why did you kill Jon Snow?", author Martin responded "Oh, you think he’s dead, do you? Queried later whether Jon was killed or will survive, Martin responded with a laugh, "I will not comment on that."" - from wiki. I believe in Jon Snow's badass return!

Lance Echo Alliser Thorne doesn't take part in the "mutiny" in the books.
Savire510 Jon will be resurrected and reborn as Azor Ahai.
The natural acting talent of some children is amazing. Some of them actually get worse when they 'learn' to act as they get older.
Damn
My opinion is that this whole scene proves that Jon Snow will return in some form (maybe not as Jon Snow in name). Why include it otherwise? Especially when you consider the foreshadowing in season 5 of R + L = J, Jon being the only person aside from Sam who knows that Valyrian steel kills white walkers, etc. There is too much foreshadowing to say "nope, he's dead and gone."
Machiave11i
but Valerian Steel ISNT the only thing that can kill White Walkers..as we've seen from the Dragon Glass by fat Sam ;)
Machiave11i Maybe if melisandre is a priestess of the same god could possibly resurrect him somehow as well, seeing she just showed up there too.
Machiave11i And he's the knight of the Flaming Sword too.
+Machiave11i well it turned out that you were right my friend!
phillyphan34, the late Lord Commander Mormont’s sword, “Longclaw.” is a sword made of Valyrian steel, forged with dragon fire in ancient Valyria. It has a bit of magic in it so it always stays sharp . It not only stops White Walker weapons (which destroys regular, human weapons), but it turns out it melts White Walkers, which is no small feat. Unlike wights who can be killed with fire, White Walkers have only a few vulnerabilities that we know of; most of them involve dragons and dragon fire. Maybe George RR Martin was being very literal with his Song of Ice and Fire master title for his series of novels. We know that “dragonglass” (obsidian) is capable of hurting the White Walkers thanks to the actions of Samwell Tarley in season three. It looked like the same bag of dragonglass Sam found buried at the Fist of the First Men was going to come in handy for Jon at Hardhome, but he ended up having to leave it there when his search was interrupted by the doomed White Walker putting out part of the fire with his chilly aura.
The whole point of their plot line was to set up them having to resurrect Cat.
If the show really has cut her out, what was the point of this plot? Wasted opportunity if she doesn't show up.
Jerome Head Because there's possibly someone else to resurrect later ;)
yeah but most people have forgotten about this.
Why not reveal Stoneheart at the end of Season 5, Have FTW happen, and revive him next season. You could have fans wondering "So she's back alive, does that mean SPOILER can come back as well?"
Jerome Head The point of this plot line was not meant for Cat, but for a certain bastard of Winterfell.
It's for Jon I hope Dx
Honestly who to cares about cat, she was annoying when she was alive and she's annoying as lady stone heart, Jon, TYRION and DAENERYS are the only ones that are keeping this show alive
They ruined this show man; these early seasons are amazing. The balance between the supernatural and the political reality of man was perfect.
Watching on April, 2019
"Looks like their God likes me more than your butcher's boy!"
Damn...
I think that there's a very important connection between Arya asking to resurect Ned and then Beric resurecting Catelyn only for her to become a ruthless monster. It indicates that it's better to let good people rest having them in memory than bringing them back, cause they may come as something very different than we viewed them
considering the climax of The Hound and the Mountain's final fight. He burned in a place that was reduced to Hell. At the very least D&D did the Clegane's justice after GRRM.
He was killed 3 times by the strongest warriors in the world. Poor dude.
Yet another storyline idiots D&D had no idea how to develop.
The Brotherhood of Beautiful Voices more like.
Maesters HATE him because of this one simple trick!
One of my favorite scenes, but it would've been interesting to see this part from the book:
“Please,” Sandor Clegane rasped, cradling his arm. “I’m burned. Help me. Someone. Help me.” He was crying.
“Please.”
Nah it wouldn’t have seemed right with the screen version of the Hound they ended up creating.
@@henrywartemberg2795 True, they made the show Hound a little less depressed and more bleak + badass.
@@Scarecrow545i would prefer the depress versión better, the show one was too 1 note for most of the time specially in later season when he became annoying with the one liners bs

I would had them say Beric was killed 6 more times by the time we find him again in season 6. 😄
I remember when he was just a Lord Ned Stark sent to bring the Mountain to justice, oh how times have changed
the Forshadowing...
'Burn in Hell!!.... He will... but not today".
No he burnt in hell when he cut up the Kingsguard like he was carving a cake, and then thundered down from the Red Keep Tower, pushing his undread brother into the flaming inferno of dragonfire beneath it....
R'hllor knew....
Flex tapes works for the Lord of Light.
Gods...the dialogues were great back then
Arya s bit just torn me apart tbh, probably saddest scene ever in GOT history
Jon Snow the boy is dead, killed by his own men and this his watch is ended. The man has yet to be born, but he will rise from his slumber not as the Bastard of Winterfell but as Jon Stark, the First of His Name, King of the North and the Trident.
But if and when he truly returns, I hope he at least remembers his siblings when he finally meets them again. I do hope there is a reunion in a later season between Arya and Jon. If you read the books, Arya's relationship with Jon is so strong that she refused to give up the sword he had given her. Needle was Jon's smile.
+Darth Kenobi It don´t seem at all u read the book..
He is a bastard and still knows nothing.
+Aditya Lahiri Actually, before he died, Robb legitimized Jon and named him as his heir. Whether the northmen will recognize it is another matter.
but dude doesn't speak the valyrian words like those spoken to revive Jon?
+Methos713 I think it's more the thought that counts. The first time he brought Beric back, Thoros said the words because it was all he could think to do. When the Lord of Light chose to give his favor, it restored Thoros' faith. Melisandre is far more formal and ceremonial, but the results are the same. Maybe the Lord of Light showed his power because his followers lost their faith.
I wish it was at least partially explained what purpose Beric served in being brought back so many times, OR, if there wasn't a purpose, that it was explained how exactly the mechanisms of resurrection worked. If the Lord of Light only brings people back because they have a duty to perform in the future, then it's not clear what that duty was for Beric, since he served a relatively minor role in the battle at Winterfell. But if it's the case that anybody can be resurrected so long as they say the proper words, then surely there are lots of characters who would have been brought back but weren't, because nobody was around to say the words.
I'm actually asking myself how Thoros would create shadow babies.
Badjoke Maker He poops them out after drinking royal blood rum.
He was a side character to them but he stayed until last season
Beric's been killed a fair amount of times, taking into account he's quite a badass
I think, then he died for real Lord of the Light is like : Finally, so tired of saving this dumbo
I hope Beric ressurects Catelyn Stark in season 5
He better, I was hoping they would of revealed it in the finale. Like a cliffhanger would of been fantastic!
spoiler stupid
I wish he would resurrect Khal Drogo but it's probably not possible since his body is cremated
RESSURECT JON PLEASSSE
That shit is much better than Jon Snow's revival.
Lord of Light please bring this man back to life his flame has been extinguished...
+Anakin Skywalker Melisandre said the same thing but in High Valyrian, what is your problem with foreign languages?
+Mimi DuCroix You mean gibberish? Fake languages aren't real languages you knob.
+Matches Malone Well, it IS a full, real language now. Just because it was created for a fictional universe, it doesn't make it less real. Like Elvish from Lord of the Rings! Or Klingon from Star Trek. Or Mandalorian from Star Wars.
These are all full languages you can learn.
+john courage But it's actually great because in the video when Mel meets Beric and Thoros for the first time, Thoros explains how by the time he got to Westeros he no longer believed in the Lord of Light. Thoros tells her that when Beric died, he said the words not because he believed them, but because his friend was dead. Mel''s also lost her faith and is just saying the words, the same as Thoros the first time he brought Beric back to life. That's why it looks as if Mel doesn't care. She cares, but she's also lost faith in R'hllor and doesn't even necessarily believe in the words she's saying. Thoros, on the other hand, has witnessed the Lord of Light bring back Beric five times before the Hound kills him for the sixth. The difference between the two resurrections we've seen, Beric and Jon, is that when we see Thoros rush to Beric's body and say the words, Thoros actually believes in what he's saying and it shows he's a true believer in the Lord of Light, whereas Jon's resurrection is Mel's last ditch effort as a priestess losing faith in her religion.
+xWhiteKidHD Oh yeah. I know all that, but it is just that Thoros is so badass doing it, cause basically, by the time he's done it, he's back on his previous spot, folding his hands like, so damn awesome. I don't mind Mel at all, I do like the story, I just think Thoros/Beric are so good and we didn't see enough of them.
Side story that is more interesting than anything in house of the dragon
after watching the season 5 finale i think there's still hope for him.

Beric is based on the Weasel from Ice Age 3, you heard it here first
This is one of my favrote scenes when he comes back too life
“Can I dwell on what I scarce remember? I held a castle on the Marches once, and there was a woman I was pledged to marry, but I could not find that castle today, nor tell you the color of that woman's hair. Who knighted me, old friend? What were my favorite foods? It all fades. Sometimes I think I was born on the bloody grass in that grove of ash, with the taste of fire in my mouth and a hole in my chest. Are you my mother, Thoros?”
“Can you bring back a person without a head”, I wonder if that is in the books, would be interesting considering the ser strong talk.

Watching this again, realized that the Hound did burn... in the last episode.
i just realised there's a guy in the backround that looks like the guy then hung in season 6 for "treason" .. nice attention to detail
The Lord of Light has been thrust into the light :D
with his ability how TF is he not the best swordman in the entire world?
Sandor survived so he kill Gregor who needed to be put down
The hound eventually did burn just like he said he would!!!
Best example of Dark Souls if ever have to describe it to anyone XD
This was setting up something far bigger in the future, otherwise, what is the point of showing one minor character bringing back another minor character?
Well it was proven in episode 2 of season 6
+Ashton DeRojas Yes it was ;)
Well to be fair it wasn't necessarily setting something up at that point in time. Beric Dondarrion is an important player in the books by his own right, so that would have been cause enough to show this. I doubt they knew at the time how far they were going to divert from the books.
The only problem is that the sword was already in him, and no one pulled it out; and they next scene it wasn't in him.
I’ve always loved Thoros’ little panicky rush to Beric as he goes to resurrect him. Looks kinda funny lol
One Of My Favorites ,,Thank You
He must've said please
Arya truly wanted Rob back, its a serious shame he could not be brought back, but thats all for a good reason, if he was brought, he'd become a monstrousity, as an Amalgamation of the Grey Wind and Rob Stark, with sheer rage against the Lannisters, the Gods are kind in their own way to not bring people back who are truly gone too far
I think she was talking about Ned, because Robb was alive at this point
Basically what happens to Catelyn in the books. She gets revived ironically enough by Beric Dondarrian but is a husk of the woman she was, now just a vessel of hate.
