Wedge-Shaped Cab, Reshaped Windshield Provide Improved Aerodynamics.
Volvo Trucks North America launched a revamp of its flagship over-the-road Class 8 VNL tractor Jan. 23, the first major overhaul since a 2017 redesign.
VTNA President Peter Voorhoeve termed the latest version of the VNL “a quantum leap forward.” Voorhoeve said during a media Q&A session that the redesigned VNL was VTNA’s most significant launch since 1996.
About 90% of the truck is new, said Magnus Koeck, VTNA vice president of strategy, marketing and brand management. The VNL order book will open in April, Koeck said, and production is set to start in the third quarter.

What makes this a Powerhouse? It's a 13L Engine with max 500hp, please explain when u have 605hp 15L Engines available
The D16 weren't any good that is why they were disconued... I know cause I had one back in 2009 , I have a D13 500 hp. And I wouldn't trade it for a D16 if they were still available.

Problem with new trucks nowadays are sensitve sensors that leads to pop-up check engine to your dashboard. Sometimes to much technology installed on trucks may lead to your downtime.
They need to focuse more on engine reliability.... i mean its not like the prices are the same when truck engine were more reliable... much more
The engine are reliability in south africa we have volvo with 2 million kilometers on the clock or maybe the USA markets they said we wont produces reliable engines 😂

I’m more concerned about the transmission. If Detroit is making it I wonder if it’s as bad as freightliner’s? Those trucks have terrible reverse experiences when the clutch disengages and re-engages it causes the truck to “jump” this causes the cab to oscillate violently. Freightliner (cascadia’s) have had this issue for years and have not changed ( I’ve driven the 21-24) if your truck does this I won’t be purchasing a new Volvo.

Need 575 horses, 87 to 90 inch cab with full size bunk, don't like the rims too plain for a spectacular truck. This will sell like hot cakes for 80% of the drivers, especially team and government team trucks, not too big and can haul the weight and have the horse power.

Y’all need to fix the mechanic certification also available parts. No one wants Volvo because no one can fix it. Also, you can’t even find parts for it.
I've owned volvo trucks for 16 years now and never had a problem getting parts ... its the mechanics that need to be more knowledgeable repairing the engines

Volvo not the only manufacturer that’s had parts problems. Right now they are above average on availability.
In South Africa we part are always avaliable for the volvo and volvo trains alot of people

yea. how about new 24 v ...nobody has equipment to fix it and dealer will charge you thru the roof for diagnostic ...and non of the 3 party shop will have a software to fix ....and o I forgot dealer sometimes will tell you ..opps sorry we can't fix it. SORRY do I need this sorry ?

What is actually going on here is the industry preparing itself to do away with alleged human type drivers , PERIOD !!!!! Back in the day of the TEAMSTERS the real TEAMSTERS , when Men were Men and Women were damned glad of it , from the days of horse teams right up until the industry put computers in the trucks and changed everything for the worse , PERIOD !!!!! They doubled the amount of trucks on the road , because the hours were cut to a point where the driver couldn't make the delivery on time anymore . Hence double the trucks , cut the alleged drivers pay which also helps pay for the extra trucks . Plus makes the alleged human type drivers into whimppie boyz . The people that I meet today cry if they have to put in more than 8 or10 hrs in a 24 hrour period for Christ Sakes . The WORLD is going to HELL in a HURRY !!!!!
