From Hongjoong's spitting blood, to powerful facial expressions, energy and coordination, to Choi San's flip and to the perfect pyramid/crown formation at the end, it was not just a dance: It was an artwork. what makes me stan them is the way they look out for each other. for example, at MAMA, mingi has back injury so it was hard for him to watch the screen from his seat, so jongho asked yeosang to switch places with him. another one, literally in every variety show they are on where the food is offered as penalty, they would ALWAYS share it with each other no matter who wins or lose. Everyone is so shocked at their performance that it took them to realize it was over. They are always amazing. The arrangement on the song was incredible.
I don't see anyone talking about two things I noticed so I need to add it. 1. I think this intro was perfect for Ateez since they've always had that "pirate" concept. Their ship and the song "Wave" was perfect to show these pirates who overcome any challenges they face. A perfect introduction to Ateez! 2. The end was amazing because fire and flames are such a big part of Ateez's albums and concepts as well (especially with Fireworks out now) and I love how they made San on the top of their mountain formation since San is korean for mountain. Oh my gosh ATEEZ. I had no interest in Kingdom but let me tell you your performance was another theatrical greatness. It's why I can watch you guys a million times and never get tired. You don't just sing. You give us expression, engagement, entrapment. Kings already on Kingdom.

Ateez and Ikon did the most live singing while also doing choreography. BTOB obviously sang live through the whole thing, but they were standing still so no surprise.

Not sure what the microphones were for, but you can see they’re not singing. Chanwoo was mouthing some of the words (probably others too but will have to re-watch again). Bobby is just grinning through his lines. Their performance was still GREAT though!
They also sang without backing vocals (or at least I can’t hear any). Would have to check the other 3 groups that sang and danced at the same time and see what they did. Looking forward to seeing what Ateez do with the next stage!
THESE ARE THE REASONS WHY ATEEZ STAND OUT FOR ME: 1. THE MIND-BLOWING CONCEPT
The performance started with a dramatic intro - a ship wrecked by a massive wave. Hong Joong as the captain tried to get up and checked out his companions until they were stricken and left lying on the ground. While on the ground, they were reawakened and Hong Joong uttered "Hakuna Matata" which means "no worries" (because they got it). Then the jaw-dropping performance came in... In the outro part, they ended their performance with a CROWN-LIKE formation with San holding a TORCH. The concept is DAEBAK, isn't it? LOL... 2. THE COMPELLING FACIAL EXPRESSIONS From the intro, Hong Joong's dramatic facial expression, together with the other members, was infectious. Man, he spit out blood! Then, there's possessed San and other members. In the outro, San's little smirk and grimace...THEY ARE PHENOMENAL! 3. LIVE VOCALS AND HARD DANCE CHOREOGRAPHY The arduous dance choreography was evident when they sang. You could clearly hear that they were panting but still sang great. In the outro, before torch-holding SAN stepped on the crown-like formation, JONGHO, our vocal beast, ended it with a massive vocal range. GOOSEBUMPS, Man. GOOSEBUMPS! 4. PROPS ATEEZ IS KNOWN AS THE STAGE DESTROYER EVEN WITHOUT MANY PROPS. THEY ARE THE PROPS THEMSELVES! Even though they are the MAKNAE (youngest) among all the groups, that doesn't mean they aren't capable and can't be a TOP-TIER. THEIR HARD WORK IS TRULY EVIDENT IN THIS PERFORMANCE. Everyone is so shocked at their performance that it took them to realize it was over. They are always amazing. The arrangement on the song was incredible.

I don't see anyone talking about two things I noticed so I need to add it.
1. I think this intro was perfect for Ateez since they've always had that "pirate" concept. Their ship and the song "Wave" was perfect to show these pirates who overcome any challenges they face. A perfect introduction to Ateez!
2. The end was amazing because fire and flames are such a big part of Ateez's albums and concepts as well (especially with Fireworks out now) and I love how they made San on the top of their mountain formation since San is korean for mountain.
I can't wait to see what Ateez have planned next. Rest well though and take care!!

Ateez and Ikon did the most live singing while also doing choreography. BTOB obviously sang live through the whole thing, but they were standing still so no surprise.
@@foreverdead1248 iKON didn’t sing live at all- the other boys even mentioned the fact that they were competing with just dance. Not sure what the microphones were for, but you can see they’re not singing. Chanwoo was mouthing some of the words (probably others too but will have to re-watch again). Bobby is just grinning through his lines. Their performance was still GREAT though!
They also sang without backing vocals (or at least I can’t hear any). Would have to check the other 3 groups that sang and danced at the same time and see what they did. Looking forward to seeing what Ateez do with the next stage!
THESE ARE THE REASONS WHY ATEEZ STAND OUT FOR ME:
1. THE MIND-BLOWING CONCEPT
The performance started with a dramatic intro - a ship wrecked by a massive wave. Hong Joong as the captain tried to get up and checked out his companions until they were stricken and left lying on the ground. While on the ground, they were reawakened and Hong Joong uttered "Hakuna Matata" which means "no worries" (because they got it).
Then the jaw-dropping performance came in...
In the outro part, they ended their performance with a CROWN-LIKE formation with San holding a TORCH. The concept is DAEBAK, isn't it? LOL...
2. THE COMPELLING FACIAL EXPRESSIONS
From the intro, Hong Joong's dramatic facial expression, together with the other members, was infectious. Man, he spit out blood! Then, there's possessed San and other members.
In the outro, San's little smirk and grimace...THEY ARE PHENOMENAL!
3. LIVE VOCALS AND HARD DANCE CHOREOGRAPHY
The arduous dance choreography was evident when they sang. You could clearly hear that they were panting but still sang great.
In the outro, before torch-holding SAN stepped on the crown-like formation, JONGHO, our vocal beast, ended it with a massive vocal range. GOOSEBUMPS, Man. GOOSEBUMPS!
4. PROPS
ATEEZ IS KNOWN AS THE STAGE DESTROYER EVEN WITHOUT MANY PROPS. THEY ARE THE PROPS THEMSELVES!
Even though they are the MAKNAE (youngest) among all the groups, that doesn't mean they aren't capable and can't be a TOP-TIER.
THEIR HARD WORK IS TRULY EVIDENT IN THIS PERFORMANCE. MAY THEIR HARD WORK BE PAID OFF.
