The Legendaries do not belong to the four big updates, I think. Maybe Gen 3 will be the third big update in August.

Yeah and then there will be legendaries but I won't have a chance to get them because it will be an event somewhere I can't travel to or something like that which prevents me from getting it.
I'm sure that getting to an event won't be the only way to get those rare Pokemon. They can't just give it to those 20% of people that can go there and not at least 30% others. I'm sure they'll find a way to make it more mainstream.

Celebi is technically not a legendary Pokemon but actually a mythical pokemon. the legendarys in gen 1 and 2 are Mew, mewtwo, the bird trio, the dog trio, Lugia and Oh-ho

Nick, even if the subscribers aren't coming (which they might again this summer), you're getting better and better. You're one man, but your content is as good as big corporate. Better in some ways. I wouldn't say I'd watch anything you make because my hobbies are exact. But whatever activity you cover after PoGo, I'm sure the fans of said activity will appreciate you as much as we do.

So, this rock event seems like a failure... I live in Phoenix, and the increase in items from stops is.....1 item per spin. The increase in rock type Pokemon is low. before the event, one rock type per hour or so, now, same, one Onix, no Larvitar.... sad.

Lukas Weinberger Its not x4 larvitar. Everyone is saying the same thing: Larvitar had x10 times chance of spawning for the first hour of the event and now there aren't any Larvitar being released via the event.
Niantic should have limited Larvitar/Tyranitar spawns but making them only available during the first hour was a terrible idea.

I'd like it to be a random legendary pokemon spawn that spawns anywhere and that spawn a very low percentage. The event spawn place they're holding should only spawn one legendary. That pokemon craze will come back.

We were within 100k total exp of each other when we got our gold Jogger medals, Nick. I had slightly more exp but that just goes to show we live in similar spawn density/km² areas. I wonder how much farther rural players would have to walk to get almost to level 34...

Caught my third Larvitar just about an hour ago (got three in eggs), and was able to evolve up to Tyranitar! Second Larvitar under the event - it's been good! Now walking my Mareep.
Finally got the last evolution item I needed, the up-grade. So now I finally have all the new Pokémon that needed them :)

Maybe the reason there has been no fire, electric, or ice Pokémon events yet is because they will happen this summer and the corresponding legendary bird will be released with it.

Nick have you noticed that the Pokemon Go events and the Pokemon Duel Cups are following each other. Durring the Water Event ,there was a Water Cup, durring the Grass event , there was a Grass Cup, and now durring the Rock event ,there's a Rock Cup.... just interesting info....
Ideally, IMO, legendary should come before the launch of every gen. For instance, I would like to have a mewtwo before Catching slugma. That way legendary will become somewhat like a climax of every gen.
