Ouch! I get those on my thumbs too. Especially when hiking in cold weather. Good for you and your outlook on the Darn Tuff socks and their return policy. Unless I get a hole within a few weeks of using them, I'm the same as you when it comes to returning and buying new ones. :) Hmmm, I think that is the most talking I've heard out of Bird Call in this video. Great descriptions of everyone in the tramily! Thanks for sharing. Safe travels and happy trails! :)
Don't understand why anyone would question your appreciation of your tramily. Every video you make you express how much you value each one of them in one way or another.
Like Susan said below, you get those thumb cracks because your skin is dry. Wash the dirt off with water, and moisturize, moisturize, moisturize. I get those thumb cracks in the winter when it is dry. Good luck.
If you have chapstick put that on the cracks on your thumbs to keep them moisturized. Those cracks are painful, I know! And you should carry sunglasses. I’m so glad you have the tramily you have. You all do mesh very well! Best!
Hello Roadrunner! I want to thank you and the whole tramily for sharing your experiences with us. You are all (the five of you) so very adorable! I watch you every morning with my coffee and I have to say that I haven’t giggled this much in many years! I don’t know how anyone could doubt your appreciation for anyone in the group, it is obvious. Your heart has opened so much during this experience. It is a beautiful thing to witness the interactions between all of you. I love being on your adventure with you via RUclips. ❤😊
Love following this tramily and so glad Boujee will be rejoining you, he really did miss you all. I know you appreciate your tramily, that’s been very obvious since you all joined together, as I know they appreciate you. You all are a perfect match and so considerate of each other, keep on keeping on.
Love waking up to the birds in the morning. It's always good to hear Tramily express their appreciation for each other. Nice Hero but how many beers? 🤣
Since you mentioned earlier your family members think of you as the glue holding you all together, I hope you all are planning to be at the PCT Trail Days. I live not far from that location. I would like to make an in-person donation to your family for your continued progress up the trail.
Jump into the next lake or stand under a waterfall and get a little bit clean. Naked or clothed either way works, walk to dry. Downsizing and pack lightening time! You might run into some early snow in the Cascades in September but no spikes needed. No more bear canister required areas remain? Might double check that. Leaking fuel is safety issue so that needs a solution. Bag balm or something similar works on scratches and dry skin.
I know you love them and i love them to if it wasnt for you i wouldnt have known anything about them i watch both of yall. Tho your like a day ahead of them on videos so i have to watch them first, then i watch yours so i dont get behind with them. And everyone eles dead slight 😅.... birdcall is so silly 😅 look im a windmill 😅... i leave comments on both of yalls videos. I love all of you. And this is awsome... absolutely birdcall is a real man allways ready to take on the next task. And he never freacks out about anything. He is very calm and he thinks with his head. Like the night they had got there new tent and mouse made a hole in the tent. And bossbay had a meltdown and birdcall Assist the situation and came up with a plan. And everything turned out ok. He really is a good man. I see it everyday he looks at bossbay as is she is the only one on that trail. If you know what i mean. And he is allways ready to protect all of you at a moments notice. Great guy she got very lucky with him 100%
Good morning, Juliane. Loved today's video. You do have a great tramily. I like that you all get along, you have fun together, you work well as a team in difficult situations, and you give each other freedom to be alone as needed. And you put in the miles. Ya'll are really making good progress. Of course, you also keep losing Somewhere and finding her again, somewhere. Can't wait to see Boujee again. I've missed him. Only 2.7 miles. Wow. I can just see Somewhere correcting you on that .1 mile difference. Take care, Juliane. Stay safe. See you tomorrow.
Happy Independence Day! God bless America. I love your evaluation of your tramily. Such great people. You are too. I enjoy your videos and trail chats.
Hi Road runner, I just wanted to tell you that I am so happy that I found your channel. I enjoy all of your videos. I love your personality and genuinely enjoy you and your tramily. You all are so awesome together. I’m thankful that you have them. I also enjoy Boss bae and bird calls videos, thank you for sending me to their channel. Take care and stay safe. God bless
Fingertip fissures. They are very painful. Pick up a small jar of food grade coconut oil. You can use it as moisturizer and it’s edible, you can add it to your coffee in the morning.
A great day on the PCT. Having a friend pick you guys up and help out all around town was great. You have some life-long friends in your Tramily. Each of you brings positive energy and purpose to each other. Happy trails.
I get those wounds on my fingers as well, chapstick is the best remedy I have found. Applying it 3 to 4 days makes them feel good and gets them to heal.
My favorite book as a teenager was “Gone with the wind”. I remember reading it one summer as a teen and not being able to put the book down. It took me just 2 days to read. The movie was not as good as the book. Although, I did enjoy the movie.
Loved the "look, I'm a windmill" from Bird Call. You show your deep appreciation for your Tramily all the time. It's obvious. And you absolutely deserve the very best of everything in my opinion. I'm going to be headed up to Seattle here soon and would really like to provide you and your Tramily with some Trail Magic. I'll email you soon with additional details and information. Thanks RoadRunner! You and your Tramily really seriously do rock. I can't wait to meet y'all!!!! Happy and very safe trails!!!! - Shybee P.S. how tall are you?
So I was up in the Truckee area at the same time as you, but yeah the northern Sierra is dirty. I live here and I do so much laundry. And I have to have sunglasses or I burn my eyes and it hurts.
1:53 Ouch. 1. Cut your hangnails off before they get that bad. 2. Since it already happened, clean it well, goop it up with Neosporin, and put a tight bandage around your finger. Replace the bandage often. Finger cots to keep the bandage dry, might be a good idea. 3. Consider using hand lotion or some ointment on your hands to keep them from getting dry. Yeah I know you don't want to carry all that. Good luck with it.
Thank you Julianne for your time and effort doing and posting your videos to help those of us who cannot hike the PCT or the AT I would add. I have been watching since the AT and thoroughly enjoy your content. Also your tramilies' videos, love you all! Stay safe and enjoy the adventure! :o)
Your reflections about your tramily are beautiful. I know that these videos are delayed several days, but I do hope that y’all are safely past those bad fires.
I had that same cracks on my thumbs last year on PCT. Solutions: wear sun blocker gloves and apply Aquaphor Healing Ointment on the cracks, sun burn and damaged skin spots, on both hands and feet. Good luck and happy trails! - N.L., class 2023.
If I recall correctly you wanted to connect more with fellow hikers on the PCT than you did in the AT: you knocked that goal out of the park!! It’s so fun following you and your Tramily❤
I tossed my seal skin socks after one use. They sounded good, and I really hoped they would work, but were terrible for hiking and I wasted my money! 🤨
why do you love that? Darn Tough recycles the socks. They know exactly what the socks are made of, how to clean them, and how to repurpose them. What’s RR going to do with her old socks if she’s not going to wear them? Maybe she’ll wear them. I don’t know. But Darn Tough is a good company and their offering exchanges is good for them, good for their customers and good for the environment.

I am WAY behind on catching up with your voyage. Discovered you after you were WELL on your way. But back around episode 30 you said people were commenting that you should put on make up! Just want you to know I appreciate your comfort in not doing so! Be you and rock it! Make-up sucks and you do not need it in the least! Happy hiking!

Drink more water 💧
Clean them good and seal with super glue. They won’t hurt then. I get the same thing and do this all the time.

No longer mandatory. Too heavy and bulky.
