@UCCJGUY I know Sarah Strong is a forward, but since we already got a commitment from the second best forward in the 2024 class Joyce Edward's , Dawn would put Sarah at center. Dawn is NOT going to bench the top two recruits in the country. With Kamilla leaving, she will start Sarah Strong at the center, Strong is 6'2, but she also has a big frame and could definitely play center.and that's IF Strong even commits to SC.

Sarah Strong should commit to UCONN because they are the only team that has 11 National Championships and knows how to win more. Our men's team is the National Championship right now and are potentially going to win another National Championship. The plus for coming to UCONN is that CT is a State with basketball culture, specifically UCONN basketball culture. I've mentioned this before. Drive through CT and you'll see UCONN flags on homes, signs in their yards, cars with UCONN bumper stickers. In short, our State is UCONN basketball crazy. On the day of a scheduled game (men's or women's) people text each other to let them know the time and what channel it is on. OR many have season tickets. If Sarah comes to CT she will be loved like all our other players - as Rock Stars!!!!!! Little girls will line up after the games to get her autograph. She'll see teams of little girls in the stands and generally speaking if UCONN plays on a Wednesday at Gampbel and then at the XL Center on a Sunday, 24,000 fans will have attended those games. UCONN basketball players, women's and men's team pack stadiums wherever they go! In CT, we're serious about basketball. It's part of our culture. No other State is like CT when it comes to basketball. Come to a UCONN (women's or men's) basketball game and see for yourself.

That Chik Fil-A tournament was interesting. Dawn and her team there watching as well as Jamelle from UConn. You know who else was there? Joyce Edwards, and she looked crestfallen after the loss. I imagine she felt some pressure not to disappoint in front of her future coach -- and she played well. Just not nearly as well as Sarah. I suspect UConn is still in the running for a few reasons. 1) Her mom works for the Celtics, 2) Geno's roster is wide open for someone like Sarah, who can play the wing, the hi post, and the low post. 3) Geno coaches a more fluid game position-wise than Dawn does, and certainly than Graves at Oregon does or Banghart at UNC. I mean, Paige is playing power forward now, lol. But more seriously, just consider the shape the team has had over the past decade during the Stewie years or the Napheesa-Katie Lou-Gabby years. The same thing is on display every game this season too. Family concerns may overrule basketball interests for all any of us know, which might mean she picks a lesser program just to be nearer home. Though they also just might favor a New England placement over anything in the Carolinas.
Who cares what can of game he coaches..he's an old bigot white guy that the best high school black players are not interested in playing for him anymore.
Maybe but Geno game more fluid position wise than Dawn's? I got to call 🧢 on that one. Geno has been forced to do how he doing because of injuries but Dawn switch people's position up to increase their chances of having longevity in the sport as a professional and for match up purposes. You may have a point with every thing else though.

At this point it should be easy for Sarah to pick the Gamecocks if she wants to be on a championship team. Any where else just about guarantees she will not win a championship.
Uconn would develop her for the next level better than SC or LSU. Bigs at Uconn learn how to play all positions and how to d-up gaurds and they learn all facets of fthe game. Hopefully it comes down to the schools that have put the most interest into Sarah even before she was ranked #1. Let’s not forget the main fanbase that has been on social media saying that the only reason Strong was moved to #1 in the rankings was because it was being rumored she was going to UConn i.e. (GAMECOCK FANS) Now, SC wants her lol because they saw how she performed in the game against Joyce a few weeks ago. Even though UConn and LSU fans have been saying she was better. Mind you Geno Auriemma was publicly on record saying she was the best player in this class when she was still ranked #5 and Joyce was #1 like two years ago. The people bringing up the coaching staff being at the game are reaching. They didn’t come for Sarah they came for Joyce foolishly thinking that this head to head would somehow prove Joyce Edwards was the true #1 recruit. As we all saw Sarah pretty much showed everyone why she is ranked where she is ranked. And that’s when SC all of a sudden wanna show interest to her lol. Sarah wants to compete against Joyce. And that game was an example of how both of those players already view their rivalry. I don’t see them being teammates. Sarah has said publicly she wants to be the best, so she’s not going to a team where she is gonna have to play second fiddle to anyone. All in all though I don’t think Sarah’s parents would let her go somewhere who didn’t put a genuine amount of energy and effort recruiting her. I don’t see her going to a team with Joyce especially after seeing how hard SC has recruited Joyce over the years. Sarah going somewhere that didn’t recruit her at the same level Joyce was recruited would be like her admitting that she didn’t deserve the level of recruitment attention that Edwards got, and from what I know about her I don’t see her doing that.

Sarah is a friend of Joyce Edwards, the # 2 player in the nation and a commitment to South Carolina. Edwards, , said she’s “for sure” recruiting Strong to join her in USC’s 2024 class.
Strong has family ties to the Palmetto State. Her father, Danny, played basketball at Great Falls High School and her mother, Allison Feaster, was a star basketball player at Chester High School.
South Carolina's chances of welcoming Sarah Strong to the South Carolina team is very strong.
Duke is a contender! Sarah has visited Duke, Duke coaches have been at a lot of her games.
I'm an unapologetic South Carolina Gamecock FAM. We all would love to have her join Dawn and the #1 team in the Country! Forever to Thee
LSU NEED HER GO TIGERS 🐅
Too much MESS there! Look at all the stuff this year!
She will be the staring center for South Carolina!! Hopefully
Center? No.
If Tac back at full strength she gone be a problem. She has to be considered but, Ashlynn, Feagin and Kitts will all be there along with Edwards and Walker I can't even blame Strong for not wanting to get up in all that.
@@KelzKelzI think that could be the reason she hasn't visited but her parents are from SC which makes her decision harder because we all know that's were they would want her to go
She wants to play the 3 and not center.@@Prolific80sbaby
South Carolina (Number 1) just beat U Conn 83-65 (was Number 11) in a game that wasn't even as close as the score indicated with everyone on South Carolina's bench get playing time. South Carolina lead by as much as 27 early in the fourth quarter, when Staley started playing the bench more.
South Carolina was without 6-foot, 6-inch center Kamilla Cardoso who was missing because she was representing her home nation of Brasil at the Olympic Qualifying Tournament.
Why focus on the past ? Go for the future
NC State Wolfpack!
Come and join the legacy at Uconn..come help raise that 12 banner!!
Ifs she's smart she will go to SOUTH CAROLINA
Yepper she's Smart CLA WAS CHANTING WE WANT SARAH SHES GOING TO BE A GAMECOCK . AWESOME

Thanks so much
I really hope she goes to Uconn...if she goes to SC or LSU she won't be the main focal point
the "team" should be the focal point. That is why Staley is winning becuase it is about team.
The fact that Dawn Staley, as an icon and hall of famer, came to my game HERSELF. I’d go there but LSU would be a nice fit
Dawn and her staff came to that game in hopes Joyce Edwards would out perform Sarah to prove Sarah isn’t the true #1 recruit. They didn’t come for Sarah. People thinking Sarah’s parents one being a graduate of Harvard are dumb enough to not notice the attention SC gave to Joyce Edwards in relation to Sarah since middle school is funny to me. Why would Sarah go somewhere that clearly didn’t even think she was the true #1 recruit to begin with.
@@VecksJanaeWhat are you even talking about lol You do know dawn and sarah strong mother are close right? I mean like best friends close so that whole statement is a lie. they actually visited cause they still recruiting sarah strong even with joyce.

Staley and coaches most certainly did go there to recruit Sarah. Staley is pushing hard to get Strong !!
Strong was waiting to visit SC when U Con came to Columbia. Its good to compare the two teams in head on competition.
U Conn flopped, Carolina dominated and the full house fans shouted "We Want Sarah !!!!!, We Want Sarah !!!"
Staley even thought we might have gotten a Welcome home notice after the game. and then said "not YET". Hummmmm Interesting !
She is going where she wants.
I feel STRONGly that Sara will be committing to the Wolfpack of NC State! Go Sara! Go Wolfpack!
Looks like Sarah finally took that visit to SC. She was in Columbia for the UConn game.
That is what they are saying. Did she save the best for last?
@ddaniels6221
Sarah got to see the difference between the U Conn program and the South Carolina program.
Going into the 4th quarter, SC led by 27 points before Staley started putting every one on the bench in. SC won 83-65, and that was without SC best player, Kamilla Cardoso who was at Olympic Trials in Brasil.
Sarah also heard from the packed arena at SC shouting, "We want Sarah, We Want Sarah !!!"
Strong spent some time talking with A’ja Wilson who had come to see SC beat U Conn.
Staley said, “Thought I was gonna have a ‘Welcome Home,’ but we didn’t get it done yet.” "NOT YET"
Things look good for SC !!!
I feel like she'll stay home or go to UConn, but I'd personally love to see her at LSU because of her connection with Mikaylah Williams... I watched them on the 3x3 tournament and thought they looked great together, the chemistry and everything.
Y'all got to many players as it is
Yep but if Reese & HVL return it gets very crowded - Reese, Morrow , smith , Williams SF/G . , HVL
@back2sports988 I don't think Hailey will be returning seeing that she's a graduate transfer. I don't believe Angel will declare for the draft. Mikaylah and Sarah are friends, especially since they both played together for team USA for the 3 on 3 tournament.
@@raiderguy104 I think every team on that has list many players except for maybe Oregon and none of those teams are slowing down in recruiting, why should LSU slow down? They're doing what UConn & SC are doing, just trying to get the piece of the pie like everyone else lol
@@back2sports I feel like if Mikaylah could go walk in to LSU's starting line-up as a freshman, so could Sarah, she's that talented... but only time will tell I guess.
1) Her mom works for the Celtics,
2) Geno's roster is wide open for someone like Sarah, who can play the wing, the hi post, and the low post.
@@KelzKelzDefinitely not cap lol. Geno runs a Princeton offense, which requires the bigs to be playmakers. Dawn runs a more traditional 3 out 2 in offense. Both are good transition teams but I’m talking about half court sets.
@@survivorswapped7637 that's not what I called 🧢 on..
@@KelzKelzthis isn’t cap South Carolina hasn’t had one post player who could routinely hit the three point shot. UConn have had multiple. UConn’s motion offense definitely is tailored towards bigs who can step out and consistently hit the three.

Well, she could change her mind !!
Strong has considered U Conn but The USC defeated them 83-65, a pretty convincing margin (and without Cardoso !)
Strong has considered Duke but The USC went to Durham, earlier in the season to play Duke and defeated Duke 77-61, once again, a pretty convincing margin.
Strong has considered UNC but The USC defeated them at Chapel Hill (their home) 65-58, a pretty convincing win at Chapel Hill. Then, The USC just ran over UNC in the playoffs defeating them 88-4.
It is hard to think of any team that would offer Strong the level of player development that she could get at South Carolina. The USC can best prepare her for the future if she wants a future in basketball. . DZ
UCONN has too many injuries for me to feel comfortable playing there.
All points r interesting
I wouldn't count Dawn Staley if they would give her and South Carolina an official visit it's a long shot but a Sara, Joyce, Adel,Madison would be a nice haul in 2024 recruiting class

Sarah Strong is perfect fit for UCONN. Watch UCONN, their fast pace, outside, inside, inside outside, they do it all. Sarah Strong 3 point shooting, fits in perfectly. No doubt Geno is best coach in all women basketball coaches. Go UCONN, Sarah Strong.
You think Geno is going to let her shoot 3's? That is the problem why the top bigs do not go to Uconn due to the fact Geno doesn't play them to their strengths and wants them to play the 5. They have enough Guards so she will not be out there as well!! Not Geno's style!!

Based on her mothers' background (Allison Feaster) it will be SC.

WNBA coaches rave about the Uconn players. They talk about how pro ready they are. Look how Dorka adapted to the WNBA.
At SC the big players stand in the lane and push. Iowa took big time advantage of that. SC bigs couldn't or didn't know how to switch out top. Uconn is loaded at gaurd. They need a good big.
It's no secret why Olympic teams are full of Uconn players. Great fundamentaly sound players.
That's Uconn of old about 5-6 years ago those players played at Uconn their not developing players like they use too to many injuries too...
@user-eh6cd6wm3z except Collier who is on the USA team,Juhas will play for her country. Edwards will be a lottery pick and play for her country, Lou Lopez Sensational will play for her country and she was a lottery pick last year and Bueckers will be a lottery pick and play for USA .
What basketball do you watch?
You right about LSU but they rave about SC too. Look at Aliyah and almost all of SC players d up guards, I don't think Staley teach that though, she recurit it. From a pro ready stand point I think SC and Uconn in the same boat, SC may have the slight edge.
I would love Sarah Strong to go to UCONN but I don't think she will. Love your work but you are paying too much attention to being offered a scholarship. Most scholarship offers are not accepted even when they are from the top schools too. E.g. Lauren Betts sister was offered a scholarship to UCONN too but it was not accepted as she is headed to UCLA too.

Dear @@YenEverywhere,
Yeah, that is disappointing for The USC , The issue that really bothered me and others about her committing to The USC is that it is a long drive from her home to Columbia.
She and her parents are really close and they want to be active in her college career. You have Duke and UNC right there near her home. We feared that she would consider the close proximity of their home to those two schools an issue that might be a very significant factor. There was also some talk that NC State might be a consideration, and that is very close to where she lives.
I think location will be a significant factor in her choice. I would not be surprised to see her stay close to home so her parents can easily attend games.

B/c she wins, a good coach and In a sport with 70% black players she is the one coach at a power program that allows a black player to play for someone who looks like them and understands what they have to put up with. That is why
Hopefully it comes down to the schools that have put the most interest into Sarah even before she was ranked #1. Let’s not forget the main fanbase that has been on social media saying that the only reason Strong was moved to #1 in the rankings was because it was being rumored she was going to UConn i.e.
(GAMECOCK FANS)
Now, SC wants her lol because they saw how she performed in the game against Joyce a few weeks ago.
We will see...Go Gamecocks!
You mean you don't want to see her doing that. But I will digress with that book that you wrote. My question to you, how do you know that Dawn Staley was not recruiting her for a extended amount of time. Of course she is going to recruit Joyce Edwards being she is in our back yard of South Carolina. But are you really trying to tell the world that Dawn Staley is not that smart.
