Washington isn't getting Paige regardless unless the league rigs it for them. Which I doubt because the league wants Paige in the biggest market they can so LA. They just need to build for the future. If I was them I would draft Malonga and stash her for a couple of years and with the 2nd 1st, tell the Sparks to make a deal to get back in the 1st after drafting Paige(maybe with a team like the Liberty who don't play their rookies( Fiebich don't count)) and trading that pick plus their 2nd for the Mystics other 1st. Sparks do that to get Azzi to go with Paige and Mystics do it because the top prospects outside of Malonga and Paige are all power forwards they don't need with Aaliyah. Plus players like Olivia Miles aren't top 5 picks for me. With the Liberty pick( which is the draft swapped Mercury pick) I'd probably in the top 8. You can get the wing of your choice there plus with the 2nd still draft another wing or pg. They can also trade the Connecticut 2nd rounder they have to Seattle for Muhl. She was poorly used and developed there. Mystics are doing a decent job developing young players, Austin, Edwards, Melbourne plus Li Meng. She would have a proper offseason and a coach willing to play her. Plus she might bring some UConn fans to games. Her and Melbourne with Austin and Edwards make a solid young core. Add a Malonga and maybe a Citron or Miles in the 1st with a Ustby or a Ejim in the 2nd would make a nice young core that would be attractive to the 25 free agent class.

Dallas isn't making the playoffs regardless. They need to figure out who their core is and if Sabally is a part of it and what position will she play. Mystics are a sleeper. They can make the playoffs and have 2 1sts. Chicago not making it. They just need to keep building and developing their young core with a pg and some shooting.

If chicago fails to make the playoffs. The #1 pick will basically be a coin flip between LA and Dallas.

Nothing to bounce back from for the Fever. They were beaten by a better team and have probably hit their ceiling. Dunn and Sides have done a great job to date. Chicago could be better without Reese. She's a liability defensively: can't guard bigs or smalls and slow in transition. And in the way offensively. Harrison could be a star; rebounds, defends multiple positions and an 85% ft shooter. Why doesn't she shoot 3's? Carter's 3 pt% has dropped this season. What's up Sky? Cardoso is improving 🙂

I think Chicago’s chances of remaining at 8 have been reduced bc Angel Reece is now out injured for the rest of the season. The Fever still has a shot though remote of moving to the 5th seed position.

Fever absolutely demolished the Sky!! Now a week later the Sky has Chennedy Carter back and played a good game against the sparks the same night the Fever lost to Minnesota and now even the Fever RUclips fans are out there tearing apart Christie Sides (again) and pointing out the defensive weaknesses of the Fever 😂🤷🏻‍♀️ One thing is for sure. The WNBA is a source of many emotional roller coaster rides 😊

Also, I know its late but I now do not see Chicago losing their 8th seeding for the playoffs. Also, the Fever still has remote shot of catching and by passing the team currently at 5.

It's hard to tank games because then you have to get all the players on board and that's impossible. All you can do as a coach is make certain decisions in a discreet manner but you can't control how your players play.

I guess the Mystics deserve some credit for having integrity and not openly tanking but in the long run, they need the high draft picks. They have some good players but need a star player.

What is Washington doing? They are professional players who don't like to lose. No professional likes to lose. If they make the playffs, then Atlanta doesn't and they get their pick in the lottery. If they don't, then they possihbly get two picks, as I believe Atlanta loses the tiebnreaker to Chicago. I totally agree Dallas needed the win that the Mystics got, and unfortunately, I think they are out of playoff contention - maybe not mathematically, but realisticly. I can't figure them out, except they really had to start over after the break getting Sabally and Siegrist back, figuring out haw to use both and integrate them into the lineup. And I agree with a prior video they need to settle on a point guard. My basic read on them is they have too many bigs and not enough speed. The word 'tank' gets thrown around a lot, by you and another YT commenter not based in the US. Tanking is akin to betting on your team to lose, and it's illegal and punishable by law. I doubt any team is going to purposefully 'tank.'

Here is my prediction on Paige, she will be an above average 5 year player in the league. Gabby Marshall held her to 17 points in that final four game, Paige showed her basketball IQ by turning her back on Clark with under a couple seconds remaining and Clark inbounds the ball against her leg and was left with .08 seconds and lost the game because of it. Paige is not a pure point guard, she is a shooting guard and will not have the impact on the game like Clark has. If I am Washington I would play as hard as they can and secure a spot in the playoffs. Washington already has a lottery pick from Atlanta and just like last year. Indiana won the first pick and finished 3rd in the standings and still landed Clark.

Washington win last night was huge for Dallas and Atlanta. The difference between second and fourth is 15%. That’s the percent chance difference of landing the #1 overall pick. And those three teams are neck and neck. All three teams need a player to be a draw to lift their franchises. All three need Paige. LA has the best odds locked up. But the other three teams should be losing intentionally tbh. If Dallas thinks they can track down Chicago. That’s an exception.

I like how you tried to break it down for the sky but you got it wrong. You can have two bigs you can't shoot but you can't have is guards who came running to pick and roll correctly you can't have guards who can't make open jump shots consistently can you have guards that are not willing to take their man one-on-one off the dribble. That's what they are missing girls who can make shots you're showing a video with no chennedy Carter that you mentioned mentioned just think if the sky had a k Mitchell and carter . Or even if abery stayed and they had a healthy cater this would be a different team .. so what you should say is these guards are not up to the level of all the other wnba guards

I am a huge CC fan and thank CC to get me to WNBA but i pray and hope that Sparks get Paige in the draft next year. Cant wait to see a young powerhouse with Paige, Rikea, Brink, Hamby and Rae. Damn that would be an exciting team to watch

some thoughts on the Aces: as I said before, and as a Liberty fan, the Aces are/remain the team to beat. which isn't to say the Sun/Lynx?Fever can't make a deep playoff run, maybe even go all the way, but they'll have to show us in the playoffs. and yes to if the Aces had gotten Hamby they'd be scarier, I'm glad they didn't get her! and I saw what you had there about Chelsea Gray and yes, let's not forget what a terror she can be in the playoffs, if people don't remember, they're suffering from short memory syndrome, haha. as for Fagbenle or anyone containing A'sia, forget about it, you pretty much have to accept she's gonna do her thing and try and hold down the others.

Sparks have the best odds regardless. Mystics are working on Plan B, developing the roster and using their picks to get the best pg after Paige and either shooting or maybe draft and stash Malonga. Lowkey they should trade the Atlanta pick to LA for a haul. We know the Sparks will want to pair Azzi with her alleged girlfriend.

Yeah, if I was Wash GM I would get Paige and her BFF whose parents live in Fairfax, VA. I’m just praying that UConn is healthy this year. But Gino has stacked that team so much it will be hard to get minutes if everyone is healthy. If that happens they will most likely lose players to the transfer portal after next season.

What is Washington doing (with a picture of Paige lingering above)? After what seemed life an hour, I gave up listening because I had important things to do. The Mystics have Atlanta’s pick so they don’t need to outright tank for Paige also the Mystics were never that terrible they lost a lot of close games in the beginning of the season which if they won a couple of those they probably would have been in striking distance of the 8th seed. Plus there not getting Paige I think it’s very clear she’s gonna go to the Sparks which is probably what the league wants as well. That means they are likely going to go the route of drafting one of the star forwards in Kiki Iriafan and with the other pick choose one of the many guards that are in this draft like an Olivia Miles. All the Mystics are showcasing is that they were a better team than people gave them credit for especially now they have multiple players back healthy.
