Sarah definitely has that takeover gene in her. There was a string of possessions in the holy cross game where she went on a run. I see her doing it more than Paige tbh. Can’t wait for a game when they both carry
This game could be a blowout either way, or closely contested. It seems like anything is possible, so it will be great fun to watch. Congratulations on 10K, on the 20.
I don't agree with you about Sarah Strong. In several of the games this year she has had stretches where she has taken over the game. From that I get the sense that she has the ability and the mindset to be a dominant / take-over player, but I think she is trying to fit in. Geno doesn't coach a system where a ball dominant player does everything. I actually think she has more of a takeover mentality than Paige does.
Agree with you that Miles is catching up to Paige as a prospect, especially because she's a natural PG while Paige is really an unselfish SG with good all-around skills. PG is what most teams really need. No way the Sparks trade #2 plus one of their young stars, they'll be happy with Olivia.
Azzi’s knee situation really bothers me but I’m keeping my fingers crossed and hoping for the best. As a UCONN fan I fond ND’s backcourt is worrisome. If we are able to control Hidalgo offense then we will win especially if Jana El Alfy is effective in protecting the paint. Hopefully, Bueckers is more aggressive taking her shots too.
Big Fudd fan wish her the best, just like Ducharme, not sure why it happens but it does, worry about Page the same way. When it is that easy to get hurt or re-injure yourself, gotta talk and face reality. You can't create durability, you either have it or you don't (conditioning can help I know).
Who's #1? South Carolina with UConn in development mode. It's only game 9 or 10. UConn is a team in development and ND has lost 2 they should have won.
it only "didn't matter" that paige shot horirbly because lousville is made up of so many freshmen and shot like absolute shit as a team that game. and ofc azzi fudd is a star. i want paige to wow me but my expectations are not that high. she's in a hostile environment, won't have azzi, and the second best player is a freshman. you cant have only two stars on a team that are both "selfless" and don't care that much about getting the ball. it's frustrating to watch geno have to "get her touches". ofc paige hasn't played a legit team yet but the bare minimum for her talent, experience, and npoy hype IMO is 20 every game. last game was such a high point for sarah and that "takeover". I'm so excited for her. as for ND, people overanalyze their two losses. it feels like HH loses intensity when the stakes are lower, but this is a season-defining game. she’ll be ready, especially with NPOY on her mind. the only thing they don't overanalyze is how easily they are dominated in the front court.
It's a crap shoot. I think in ND's favor is home court advantage & UConn's newbies playing in that kind of environment for the first time. Otherwise they're evenly matched. But, if ND gets into foul trouble and needs their bench then it could get even more interesting.
Guards vs guards. The 5s (Koval, Brady and el-Alfi) will all be in foul trouble because 2 of them are freshmen and the other is Brady and the refs want the frosh to know that its the refs people come to see not the players. The number of ticky-tack fouls called on freshmen is ridiculous, not only on these 2 teams. Just make sure you don't breathe wrong around a ref. I think it was Morrow on LSU got T'd because she muttered something under her breath, not directed at a ref, likely some trash talking. I hope I'm wrong, but I think the refs will control the outcome not the players.
Your statement that the game of the century (And I'm sure #1 UCLA would agree) will be UCONN & ND is plainly hyperbole especially since it hasn't been played yet! You have no idea how this game will play out till it's over. Time will tell.
@ I’m telling you with a straight face to take a deep breath before you have a heart attack. That would be tragic. The thumbnail is clearly referring to number one draft picks, and since currently entire universities are not draft eligible, you’re freaking out over nothing.

Sarah definitely has that dawg in her. Shes gonna be so fun to watch over the next 4 seasons
Excellent review Back2 Sports loved your analysis. I agree with your comparison between Bueckers game and Olivera Miles’s too.

Best for your youngster. UCONN 78 ND 69

Who is Number 1? According to the Associated Press, it's UCLA!
Notre Dame by 15.

more talking about who will be number 1 pick in WNBA draft
I think and hope Paige just takes control and dominants the game and not pussy foot around trying not to hurt any feelings

Hidalgo is #1 but not this years draft. Bueckers #1 this year if she stays healthy
Showdown of the Century? A little thick on the Hyperbole.
Paige nice player a little overrated

This was a tongue-in-cheek comment, particularly as he followed with the clip of Geno saying it's the game of the century every year.
@@dougpost8958 haha My point exactly
She's fragile she'll end.up.being a college basketball coach for a mid level program to start 😊
The thumbnail is str8 CAP and click bait. UCLA and South Carolina are the two best teams in the country. LSU is better than both Uconn and ND.
Call us when LSU plays someone this season that isn't a cupcake.
Are you okay? Take a seat, babe, think of your blood pressure.
@@83541 Are you telling me with a straight face that ND is better than UCLA and South Carolina?
@@Anita-kd4zu Well, I can assure you that LSU will be Utah.
