@@MarshMakesComics yea me to
Always keen to hear your stream of thought! great vid :)
Thanks Russ! 😎👍
Dude, I dig DJ Shadow. Sick stuff. I’ve been listening to Kiefer a lot lately too, you might like him. It’s a bit more chill though. I’m always looking for music for my comic soundtrack actually 😄 It’s cool to hear about Glyph more. If you ever need any help with anything, man, let me know 💪
Thanks bud! I’ll keep that in mind, and I’ll check out Kiefer as well!
I will Definitely read Lizard Brain. I'm sure it's a dope comic, because it's made by Marshal Lee!!!
Oh thanks man!
If you can't handle the Todd McFarlane page a day (I can't either) then go for the Ed Piskor panel a day! As far as Glyph goes, did you ever read The Darkness? I want to say there were limitations on the power based on the character's understanding of what they were trying to make. The main character could make guns because he knew how those worked but he couldn't make a functional Gundam or spaceship.
That's a great idea! And thanks for the encouragement! 😎👍
Aesop Rock is great, I went from there to Evil Nine, to Sage Francis to Scroobius Pip. One incredible instrumental album you may want to check out is Beastie Boys 'The In Sound from Way Out'
Sweet I’ll have to check some of those out!
Hey Marsh, there is a video I recently watched, if you haven't seen it yet it might be helpful for what you were talking about with your character being so powerful that it can be hard to have a challenging conflict: "On Writing: Magic Systems and Handling Power Escalation" by Hello Future Me
Cool thanks man! I’ll check it out!
Can you start writing comics if you are awful at drawing? I love writing but could never imagine becoming good enough at art to convey my story in a comic format, even tho that is what I would like to write
I'm not a great artist and I do a weekly comic strip plus an annual Christmas superhero comic. (Sometimes it even comes out before January.) I've gotten a lot better than I used to so if you can't find an artist and really want to make comics it is possible. I've also tried sprite comics because image editing I was pretty good at, I've seen diorama comics done with toys and homemade sets, and CG comics. There are plenty of routes and so many different art styles out there.
Just please don't do photo comics with people. I've seen few that works and even fewer that I've liked.
DJ Shadow "Endtroducing" (1996) - ruclips.net/video/KFXtwNLR2xE/видео.html Here's a topic idea for a video: Does music inspire or give you visuals and/or does your art make you hear certain pieces of music or both? Additionally, do you like to play music when you create art? This would be good to visit with a lot of artists on.
