The most amazing time in my life a time when you used to meet people from all over and there was never any violence. Remember waiting at set end on top of blackburn no fuel so i goes to find a petrol station fuck me every one followed gets to the patrol station they shut all the pumps down unbelievably people i didn't know were sythoning patrol out there cars for us while we were having it on the forecourt people on e are beautiful greatest time ever
Wow, this really brings back some fond memories of yesteryear! Sett End and then the raves afterwards, cannot be beaten. There was no attitude, no posing, no hassle or trouble, just a bunch of great people together having a brilliant time. Back in the days when dance music was decent..... I can recall this particular event quite clearly as I had the most awful multi colored baggy pants on....

I’m from Scotland & we had a huge early Acid/house scene up in Glasgow/Edinburgh/Dundee/ Arbroath even. Small town & we were having it large in 89/90. Streetrave promotors started in 1988 & were around booking DJs like Carl Cox Nipper Face Mike Pickering just to name a few early DJs in the scene then. That’s before we’d even heard of them. Also even Frankie Bones & Cj Macintosh from USA in 1889. & PA’s like N’joy, guru Josh, the shaman & 808 state in the early years. We had a great scene in Scotland & even the Coventry Eclipse crew organised an all nighter in Edinburgh 91 & Amnesia House. We loved the Energy from the English scene & the DJs & would always run buses to go to The Eclipse or Shelley’s but before that we’d come down for the big illegal parties. Trust me your friends must’ve been a little behind as we have the longest running promoter in the UK still at the moment. It’s now 2024. April 88 Streetrave started & still hold special events now. Also the Slam DJs have been doing the same since 1988. How lucky we were to witness these amazing halcyon day’s. Loving the doving. 🕊️👍. Great times. Great to know you were there too as it looks rammed & a proper Old school warehouse style rave. Awesome footage, ACEEED 😊. Rave on all you real old school ravers out there. I remember this. Used to love hijacking strangers at the all night garage next to the Thunderdome and getting them to drive us to Blackburn. Some of them were even nice enough to wait outside for 7+ hours for us to drag ourselves out, and take us back home lol
Guys is that Accrington rave at 1.01.00 . Looks like that to me . Its not unit7 as were the footage before. Accrington was about 3-5 weeks later. Great days

I was 38 then and I was there - 70 now and i'd still be there again in a heart beat.Unit 7 was my favourite - i'm from Blackburn.
I grew up a stones throw from this place but was only 5 in 1990 and never heard about these raves til recently.. Looks sick!

Yup, I was there, right until the police raided at dawn (with dogs) forcing everyone to rush towards a tiny door. Top night though, loved that time, so grateful to have been a part of it 😊

I remember this. Used to love hijacking strangers at the all night garage next to the Thunderdome and getting them to drive us to Blackburn.
Some of them were even nice enough to wait outside for 7+ hours for us to drag ourselves out, and take us back home lol
Guys is that Accrington rave at 1.01.00 . Looks like that to me . Its not unit7 as were the footage before. Accrington was about 3-5 weeks later. Great days
