I recently re-watched A Goofy Movie. It's funny how my reaction has changed with time and circumstance. Me as a teen when it first came out: "Poor Max. His dad is awkward and out of touch af..." Me now: "Boy, you respect your legend of a father!"
You right I feel like he understood that more in college but his dad is completely out of touch with the world because he is not ashamed of himself. Max is different and loves his dad but he is very embarrassing 🤣at least he tries to protect him from people who laugh at him instead of with him
I remember seeing the Max-Mona episode, and my 10 year old self was not having it, I was like “who this? where’s Roxanne!?” I will forever love Max and Roxanne together.
You askin the real questions. Doing the real research we need. Butlike really? They replaced Roxanne with Mona because they couldn't animate long hair? Ever heard of girls getting...a haircut???? C'mon Disney.
@@CaptainFALKEN Some random chick with the same voice actress. Roxanne was supposed to be in Twice Upon a Christmas, but due to not having technology to animate her hair, they replaced her with someone else, rather than give Roxanne a haircut.
George Foxworth was Hell Yah the goofy Series was really the only movie I loved from Disney because I could relate to Max he was always my favorite character in the Disney universe even if he was a side character I all the shows that had him.
Its true, but the photo of them together was like when they were teenagers and at their prom I think. But it could be Disney’s way of saying that what happened with Mona wasn’t canon or something since it didn’t show any photos of Mona.
I'm not gonna lie, the first time I watched the Mickey Christmas movie and I saw that Max brought that other girl home instead of Roxanne, I was so upset. but then again it's not that uncommon to not end up with the person you were in love with in high school.
Kinlee Plays well there were 2 different Mickey Christmas movies, I think the one with max and the new gf was in the 2nd movie and the ice skating competition was in the 1st movie
Windyleeks24 14 oh you're totally right! I watch both every year back to back so they get jumbled together and seem like all one movie lol thanks for clarifying
@@Aristocratic13 they may bring back drake and josh, hannah montana, even live versions of disney movies, but they NEED and repeat *NEED* to bring back roxanne and max.
@@ulyx9804 the video was made 2 years ago, and the episode was released this year. He had no access to that information for the timeline, because the information did not exist. Nice observation tho!
Thank you! I was upset enough when A Goofy Movie aged Max like 5 years from Goof Troop (which was still airing new episodes at the same time!), then An Extremely Goofy Movie broke my heart when Roxanne wasn't there! WHY COULDN'T ADULT ROXANNE JUST HAVE HAD A HAIRCUT?! *tears*
Apparently “Mickeys twice upon a christmas” doesn’t actually tie into the same story line as the goofy movies. Like an alternate reality of how things could of gone so to speak. I hope its true. And I hope someday there is a third goofy movie with Max and Roxanne. It still boggles me that they did so little with the two of them, easily the most adorable pair in the disney universe in my opinion.
Man I remember that Mona girl I was so sad and confused when she sounded like Roxanne. I think they could've made her Roxanne still by just making it seem she matured and cut her her short to show a passage of time.
Max and Roxanne are so cute together. If Goof Troop ever gets a reboot,I hope they show an older Max and see if Max and Roxanne will be together at last
In Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas: WHY COULDN'T THEY HAVE JUST MADE IT ROXANNE WITH A HAIRCUT?? People already knew the character, it wouldn't have been such a big deal if they just had her cut her hair. Oh well. I do also hope they'll be together again someday...
I also just thought of this...it would have been SO easy to make her orange hair short and she only met Goofy for a brief time when he got blasted by his car and fell through their porch roof...and if it's the same voice actress... While the two Christmas movies may be "cannon" I don't think they really fall in the line...for one thing the triplets don't age AT ALL unlike Max and second Goofy's love from the second movie is also absent... I think the House of Mouse is in the middle of being cannon...it is with the characters and even flows with the triplets being older...but ALL the characters from movies are there...even if they were killed...and Minnie is portrayed as owning Figaro like she did in the early cartoons after Pluto (then Rover) was given to Mickey instead of belonging to Pinocchio who is back to being a puppet
Your first love is always something beautiful that you remember fondly. But unfortunately it is not very likely that that is the person you'll end up marrying.
It is rare that high school sweethearts end up together. And I know it’s Disney, but Goofy and Max are so slice of life that it makes sense they broke up.
I love Max and Roxanne :) I don`t understand why change the character if "Mona" was originally going to be Roxanne? I mean if her hair was the problem then have her change it to a shorter hairstyle. I mean that would just show that she had changed her hair when she got older.
What a shame that Roxanne and Max have split but unfortunately, these events happen - and it does exist in the Disney Universe. But that didn't stop me from rooting for the two of them. Amazing video as always, Issac. =)
In Duck Tales season 3: episode 02 there is a picture of them going to prom in Goofy's Wallet. Also there is a background character in season 1 of the New Duck Tales that looks a lot like an Adult Roxanne. And in Season 2 said background character has a kid that looks like the same type of dog as her father.
Three Words, 2 characters reuniting, 1 movie title: *A Goofy Wedding* 😎 *Synopsis:* a "First Girl Wins" animated chick-flick in which Max moves back to Spoonerville to help his librarian step mom take care of his accident prone, _finally_ injured father, and consequently he runs into the New town physiotherapists: Roxanne. I already got script ideas for this😏🙄🤔
An idea for Max and Roxanne's backstory: After _A Goofy Movie_ , the two navigate the highs and lows of having a relationship. Things are starting to go well, but then it's time for college. With Max going away, they're now challenged to maintain a long-distance relationship. It's fine at first, but then Max realizes the attention he's getting from college girls. For the first time in his life, he's not seen as a Goof! He likes this attention and starts to flirt. Slowly, but surely, this puts a strain on his relationship with Roxanne. When the _House of Mouse_ episode rolls around, Max is home for the summer and looking to make some extra money. Of course, he's also looking to reconnect with Roxanne. They go on a date and because it goes so well, their relationship is heading back in the right direction. However, college rolls around again in the fall and Max is back to square one. I mean, the guy was a BMX champion in _An Extremely Goofy Movie_ , so surely that would come with some perks. Roxanne has finally had enough of Max's shenanigans, and decides to end the relationship for good. Max is devastated by this, so it's no wonder why he would turn to the Roxanne look-alike in _Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas_ : Mona. This relationship proves quite turbulent as well since Max is trying to make Mona be Roxanne, so it ends after a few months after the movie. I hope no one judges me for looking so in-depth at this...
@@zaptrollwen Aww, thanks! :) I'm game for writing a fanfic. Shenruss, how about you? Edit (6/1/20): It's here! www.fanfiction.net/s/13603045/1/A-Goofy-Wedding
Really? That theory about Mona and Roxanne being the same due to secret agent work? That is an outrageous theory. I can make a better theory right now. Mona is Roxanne, but she cut and dyed her hair, and decided to go by her middle name. that works....unless they already said her middle name.
I've never seen the movie, but in the clips shown here Mona says "I'm really looking forward to meeting your dad," which Roxanne wouldn't have said since she knew him in high school. Hair length is the stupidest reason to write out a character, though. People change hair styles, kids are smart enough to understand that.
Roxanne is one of my favorite late 90's character. She wasn't oversexualized with a personality of just "girl." She was a totally relatable, socially awkward high schooler with studies to focus on and a harmless crush to get distracted by. I was really disappointed when there was no reference to her whatsoever in the second movie as if Max completely forgot her. Our precious cinnamon roll deserved her own spinoff!
LOL Nothing goes past you. I'm glad that you mentioned House of Mouse. I did not about the christmas special. I wish they would've just cut Roxanne's hair and still put her in the christmas movie.
You took the words right out of my mouth. If Penny Hoffsetder can get a haircut in season 8 without us questioning, sure they could have just given Roxanne shorter hair. Also I kinda think Twice Upon a Christmas was set while Max was still in college. A lot of students come home for the holidays and return to school in January. You could argue that Max and Roxanne didn't get back together until they finished college, which is when that episode of House of Mouse was set. By the way, can you do a theory on where House of Mouse fits in the Disney Canon? It's set when almost all Disney movies are simultaneously parallel with each other and the Mickey Mouse universe.
Of course, it never actually specifies when Twice Upon A Christmas takes place. These are just a collection of Christmas stories, and all of them are implied to have happened sometime in the past, and they're being told from the perspective of, "Remember that one Christmas when [blank happened]?" The one with Max and Mona could have easily taken place, before the House of Mouse episode, which I think is further supported, by the way the max seems to be coming home, on winter break. I interpreted it as Max and Roxanne separating, as the each went to different colleges, but reconnecting later.
Well, it can't take place during Max's freshman year of college. While the second movie did say that Max would see Goofy again at Christmas (before Goofy ended up following Max to college), the movie also said that Goofy would be spending a whole year (presumably a school year rather than a complete 356-day calendar year) at the college to finish his education. Since Goofy completes his education and graduates by the end of the movie, that implies that the events of the movie span an entire (school) year from the beginning of Fall to the end of Spring, which would mean that the Winter break (including Christmas) came and went offscreen during the movie's events. Since Goofy was living on campus during that time, the events of Mickey's Twice Upon A Christmas couldn't have taken place during Max's freshman year. Thus, it can only come after the movie. But then, House of Mouse had Max as still being a teenager in the episode "Max's New Car", so if he's about 18-19 in House of Mouse, he'd have had to start working at the club only after his freshman year of college since he wouldn't be old enough to be employed as a parking valet until he was 18. This means that House of Mouse has to come right after An Extremely Goofy Movie, leaving Mickey's Twice Upon A Christmas to come even later. However, see this other comment of mine that explains how and why Mickey's Twice Upon A Christmas can't even fit into this timeline at all (and therefore enables Max to still be with Roxanne instead of Mona) - ruclips.net/video/wbAuYsiMMEE/видео.html&lc=Ugz8KKieKRIJmkmLvzx4AaABAg
There is a photo of Max in graduation clothes, yes, but we don't know if it's from his high school or college graduation. It could be either, so it's not as strong a continuity point.
I have pondered on this very subject myself many times, I grew up with Max and Roxanne together, cutesy anthropomorphic dog couple in existence. If they don't end up married at some point, my entire concept of romance will be absolutely shattered. I'm not even joking lol
I don't think the romantic type of love is special. And I am started to think that the romantic type of love isn't real. I mean about more than half of romantic couples either break up with each other or divorce each other, while most platonic best friends remain friends until death. I think that having a platonic best friend is a lot better than having a romantic partner or spouse is. Having someone who's like a sibling to you is a lot better than having a romantic partner is. Also, you would more likely be much closer to a person who's like a brother or sister to you than you would be with a partner or spouse. People tend to fight with their partner or spouse a lot more than they do with a platonic best friend, and you never fight with your best friend the way you fight with your partner or spouse. Partners and spouses are just temporary. If you break up or divorce them, it's hard to go back to them. With your platonic best friend, you're going to make things work, because they are your best friend, they are your go to partner. It's always easier to make amends with them than it is with a romantic partner or spouse.
Also, there are a lot of toxic romantic relationships, while there isn't that many toxic platonic relationships. Like an example is that abuse happens a lot in romantic relationships, while abuse is rare in platonic relationships. So there is a lot of abusive romantic relationships, while there isn't that many abusive platonic relationships. Why do you think abusive romantic relationships have a term for them called "domestic violence", while abusive platonic relationships don't have a term for them? It's because abuse in platonic relationships is very rare, while abuse in romantic relationships happens a lot. And also, a lot of people cheat on their romantic partners with someone else, while most people won't do stuff like that with their platonic best friends. Also, I heard that most people can live a life without romance and can still be happy. But most of the time, if someone doesn't have any platonic friends in their life, it can affect them really bad mentally; much worse than living a life without a romantic partner. In today's world, less people are dating and getting married now, and they seem to be happier being single rather than being in romantic relationship with someone. Also, you're going to have a much deeper spoken understanding and connection with your best friend than you are with a romantic partner or spouse. So those are other reasons why romantic love isn't real or special, while platonic love is.
They could have just given Roxanne short hair in Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas instead of going with the new character. It wouldn't be out of the ballpark for someone to change their cut, color or style after a number of years. Do you look like you were in high school? Probably not, and the hair wasn't what made Roxanne who she was. On a different note, I think the House of Mouse could be set during high school or college just before Max moves out. It would make sense for Goofy to help his son get a job with his old friends, plus goofy himself was jobless when max was in college. The only thing that would debunk this besides all these Disney characters from different time periods all going to this club, but it goes along with the idea that Roxanne goes to a different college than Max and Goofy.
The problem with House of Mouse coming in between the two movies is because of Max's age. According to a statement given by the director of A Goofy Movie (Kevin Lima), which he gave in 1995 TV special "The Making of A Goofy Movie", Max is 14-years-old during the events of A Goofy Movie. As 14 is the youngest age a high schooler can be in the American education system (without skipping or repeating any grades, that is), this would mean that the high school grade that Max finishes at the beginning of A Goofy Movie is most likely 9th Grade. Thus, if Max (who does live in the U.S.) is 14 after finishing 9th Grade, then he would be 15 after 10th Grade, 16 after 11th Grade, 17 after 12th Grade, and 18 after his freshman year of college. Since 18 is traditionally the youngest age a person in the U.S. can be hired as a parking valet, Max would only be old enough to be employed as the House of Mouse's parking valet after completing his first year of college, necessitating House of Mouse to come after An Extremely Goofy Movie (but not too long after since the House of Mouse episode "Max's New Car" has Max identified as still being a teenager in that episode, making him be about 18-19 at that point, depending on how long he'd been working at the House of Mouse by that episode's time). This also means that he and Roxanne must have reunited at some point after An Extremely Goofy Movie for the two of them to be dating in House of Mouse. ;-)
Imagine a movie, Max is going to go to a different university, and he sees a girl, who is very pretty. She sees him too, and says Hi Max, do you remember me? Roxanne appears in scene Then they could rebuild their relationship, but Roxanne has another boyfriend already, Max is frustrated. He is jealous of Max, for that he fight with him. Roxanne looks worried and starts crying. She tell Max: You are not that boy who I loved. The screen turns black and the title appears: A New Max Movie "Rebirth of love" Roxanne and Max are watching the sunset, and max says Do you still love me? Coming soon
I knew you were going to bring up Mickey's Twice Upon A Christmas as the final nail in the coffin against Max and Roxanne ending up together (officially, at least). However, fear not, for there is a very crucial notion about that Christmas special that opens the door even wider for Max and Roxanne to be together, and that notion is this: Mickey's Twice Upon A Christmas is completely irreconcilable with the continuity of Mickey's Once Upon A Christmas, as well as with all of the TV shows and movies that take place between the two. Consider this: In Mickey's Once Upon A Christmas, Huey, Dewey, Louie, and Max are all depicted as children, with Max out of the four shown explicitly to be younger than his 11-and-a-half year old self seen in Goof Troop. Based on this, it's not too much of a stretch to presume that Huey, Dewey, and Louie are likewise younger in this special than they are in DuckTales, but not too much younger. As time goes on and TV shows/movies come and go, these four kids age and grow into big kids by the time DuckTales and Goof Troop take place, and then grow further into teenagers by the time A Goofy Movie and Quack Pack (yes, Quack Pack, see the Side Note below) roll around. (Side Note: I know that Quack Pack took place in a world inhabited by humans while DuckTales and Goof Troop were inhabited by anthropomorphized animal people, but Chip n' Dale Rescue Rangers also took place in a human-populated world, and according the awesome five-part Disney Adventures comic crossover "The Legend of the Chaos God" -- disney.wikia.com/wiki/The_Legend_of_the_Chaos_God -- the five shows involved in that crossover--TaleSpin, Chip n' Dale Rescue Rangers, Goof Troop, DuckTales, and Darkwing Duck--all take place in the same world. So if Chip n' Dale could have a human population living in a world where animal people populate other cities like Duckburg, St. Carnard, Cape Suzette, and Spoonerville, I see no reason why Quack Pack can't also have had humans move into Duckburg at some point after DuckTales, but I digress.) By the time of An Extremely Goofy Movie, Max has graduated high school and entered college, making him old enough to later (but not too much later) become the parking valet for the House of Mouse when he starts working there. Concurrently, Huey, Dewey, and Louie are also working at the House of Mouse as the club's band. At various times in the show, Huey, Dewey, and Louie are seen with designs similar to/based on their Quack Pack designs, and whenever they spoke, they were voiced not by Russi Taylor (who voiced their child selves) or any of their Quack Pack voice actresses (who voiced them as teenagers), but were instead voiced by Tony Anselmo (the voice of Donald Duck) who gave each of them a voice similar to (but still younger-sounding-than) their Uncle Donald, strongly implying that the three of them were on the cusp of young adulthood just like Max (though, the episode "Max's New Car" explicitly identifies Max as still being a teenager in House of Mouse, but he'd definitely have to be at least 18-19 to legally be employed as a parking valet, which matches up with his college freshman-aged self in An Extremely Goofy Movie). Thus, throughout all of this, Max, Huey, Dewey, and Louie are all shown growing from children to teenagers to almost adults across the chronology of Mickey's Once Upon A Christmas --> DuckTales --> Goof Troop --> A Goofy Movie --> Quack Pack --> An Extremely Goofy Movie --> House of Mouse. So, with all that said, it is therefore logically and chronologically impossible for Mickey's Twice Upon A Christmas to reasonably fit in at any point in this greater timeline for one very important reason: In Mickey's Twice Upon A Christmas, Huey, Dewey, and Louie are depicted as still being children (complete with Russi Taylor voicing them) while Max is depicted as a grown up young adult. All four of these characters show up together at the end of the special to help Mickey look for Pluto (since Pluto had run away after making Mickey mad) and then celebrate Christmas at Mickey's house, so it isn't a simple case of the Huey/Dewey/Louie segments of the special taking place years before the Goofy/Max/Mona segment. Rather, all four of them are seen interacting together just like at the end of Mickey's Once Upon A Christmas. If nothing else, this means that Mickey's Twice Upon Christmas can't fit with at least Mickey's Once Upon A Christmas (in which Max and the nephews were all kids) and House of Mouse (in which Max and the nephews were all late teens/nearly adults), but that's just enough to completely write the Max/Mona relationship out of continuity with the Max/Roxanne relationship, meaning that the one piece of Disney media that features Max with a different love interest from Roxanne is ultimately rendered invalid, impossible, and inconsequential (even if unofficially) to the much larger timeline of all of the aforementioned shows, comics, movies, and specials that preceded Mickey's Twice Upon A Christmas. In other words, no "Twice Upon" = no Mona = Max and Roxanne can be together with no worries! :D
Thanks! I've been putting a lot of thought into the chronology and continuity of Goof Troop and all its related media as of late since I'm currently working on a rather ambitious continuity project that involves Goof Troop, A Goofy Movie, An Extremely Goofy Movie, Mickey's Once Upon A Christmas (but not "Twice Upon", for the reasons already given), House of Mouse, all of the Goof Troop comics from Disney Adventures magazine and The Disney Afternoon comics, all of the French-original Goof Troop comics from Le Journal de Mickey, and as much Goof Troop-related/A Goofy Movie-related ancillary media (like storybooks and such) that I can get my hands on. It all started as an attempt to simply put all of the episodes of Goof Troop into a brand new order that would make sense chronologically in accordance to the passage of time across the seasons, the school years, the summer breaks, the winter breaks, the holidays, Pistol's ages (as in, placing the episodes where she's 4 well before the ones in which she's 6), and more. Since then, I've been trying to accumulate all the comics and storybooks and as much other media as possible so as to add all of those into this timeline as well, with A Goofy Movie coming later, then the two Goof Troop comics that feature Roxanne, then An Extremely Goofy Movie much later, and then House of Mouse (to which I also plan to give a new episode order as well) shortly after that since Max would have to have started working there within the same year as the ending scene of An Extremely Goofy Movie in order for Max to still be a teenager in the House of Mouse episode "Max's New Car" (I may have to place that episode earlier into the new episode order's timeline since the total number of episodes that House of Mouse has probably means that Max won't get to stay under Age 20 for very long in that series's run). In addition to this, I've spent many hours also giving some serious analysis thoughts to the themes, messages, and continuity aspects presented in A Goofy Movie, An Extremely Goofy Movie, and just the Goofy/Max segment of Mickey's Once Upon A Christmas, as I find all three to be very thought-provoking in their own right (even if some of the thoughts about An Extremely Goofy Movie end up being more frustrating than not, but I do still enjoy that movie, even if not as much as the first film or the Goofy/Max segment of "Once Upon"). For a quick example, in Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas, there is something in the Goofy/Max segment that could be viewed as a potential continuity error that, like the error I mentioned in "Twice Upon", could prevent "Once Upon" from fitting in with Goof Troop. The potential error is the fact that, in "Once Upon", Goofy and Max already live in a house next-door to Pete, whom they know and who acts like they've been living next door to him for some time. While in the first episode of Goof Troop, Goofy and Max start off living in a trailer and only just then move to Spoonerville from another city. At that point, they move into the house next door to Pete for the first time, and Goofy acts like he hasn't seen Pete since high school, and everyone acts like Pete and Max have never met each other before. My solution for this is to consider the Pete from "Once Upon" as a different Pete from the Pete seen in Goof Troop and the two movies, as the Pete in "Once Upon" is brown-furred and doesn't harbor the same deep-seeded irate intolerance of Goofy that the black-furred Pete in Goof Troop has for the majority of that show's run. How can there be two Petes? Well, firstly, if Mickey & Minnie and Donald & Daisy can each have the same last names ("Mouse" and "Duck", respectively) without being related to each other, I see little reason for why the name "Pete" (which IS a last name in Goof Troop) can't be just as common. And secondly, DuckTales (which I previously noted as taking place in the same world as Goof Troop) featured five different Petes in five different episodes. The names of each DuckTales Pete are Genghis Khan, Sharkey, Dogface Pete, Captain Blackheart, and Captain Pietro. Now, while four of these DuckTales Petes technically have different names from "Pete" (and two of them only existed in the past rather than the present), the one named "Dogface Pete" does bear the name "Pete" and exists in the present day, meaning that both he and Goof Troop's Pete coexist as two separate Petes living in the same time period in the same world. Thus, that sets a precedent for the Pete seen living next to Goofy and Max in "Once Upon" to also be a different Pete from the one living in Spoonerville in Goof Troop. And, the town that Goofy, Max, and this Pete all live in in "Once Upon" was never actually named in the special, so that allows it to be the same other city from which Goofy and Max move to Spoonerville in Goof Troop's first episode, rather than being Spoonerville itself (which also suggests that Goofy and Max eventually move out of the house that they live in in "Once Upon" into a trailer at some point between the Christmas special and Goof Troop). Phew! That was more than I intended to write.
I read up on a similar thing about how the Max plus Mona thing is a different reality so to speak, like a spin off. Which is basically what you concluded after your analysis. I really do believe that you’re right. I just hope with get a third goofy movie that features Roxanne and Max, with more screen time than the 15 or so minutes we got in the first movie. Its ridiculous that disney are yet to take this relationship further, they’re probably the cutest pair disney have imo.
Miles Tinker it’s nice to see someone take the time to analysis the history like I have man. I say everything from steamboat Willie to house of mouse is in the same continuity. And house of mouse is the finale having every Disney character together. But I say the Donald shorts with the boys, that they are around 5 to 8. And the goofy shorts I say goofy junior is max, and he’s the ages between birth and 8. And that the nephews and max were born in 1981. And in the goofy Christmas short in the once upon a Christmas is in 1990 timeline wise, but made in 1999. Which would make max and the nephews around 9. And goof troop and ducktales they were all around 11 to 12 years old in 1992. And a goofy movie in 1995 max was 14 and Quack pack the boys are 14 and I say that is around the same time. Then externally goofy movie max is 18 in college. And finally house of mouse max and the nephews are 19 to 20 young adults. And max is with Roxanne then. So I say max marries Roxanne and goofy marries Sylvia, I just say house of mouse she was at home and unseen. So to me twice upon a Christmas isn’t real, and anytime I have a goofy marathon I end with Max’s embarrassing date. But I do hope one day that a third film is made and goofy is married to Sylvia and max is getting married to Roxanne. And pj, Bobby are in the wedding. And peg and pistol finally show up, and they mention they miss Max’s mom, and it would be cool if Mickey married them. I say that peg divorced Pete and took pistol with her. But I say that pj visits them off screen. And I say that Max’s mom died from a wreck. Because in the shorts you see she’s a bad driver. And I say the goofy solo shorts and Mickey shorts hes single. He meets his wife in two gun goofy, and they have a date in how to dance. And in the gamble episode and Cold War they had gotten married. And finally in father’s are people max is born. I just say the older he got , the more he looked like his dad. I had blonde hair that turned brown around 9. And my youngest looked like his mom mom when he was born , and now looks like me. And to fix the continuity with goof troop I say that Pete had a get away house in once upon a Christmas. Because u see in goof Troop he can’t stand his family. And goof troop they move beside his actual home. So that’s my universe of goofy and goofy and Max’s relationship is my favorite thing in Disney, especially now that my dad died.
@@stefanmovieflixtomasi season 3 episode 2 of the DuckTales reboot, Donald accidentally made a wish on a genie's lamp for "a normal family with normal family problems." This led to a sitcom style episode using the quack pack name. In the episode Goofy was playing his part as a photographer and showed Donald his pictures of him and MAX from his wallet to explain a lesson that the best family photos are ones that have stories behind them. Not ones that are staged with costumes. Near the bottom of the long line of pictures there's a prom picture (or homecoming picture) of Max and Roxanne. images.app.goo.gl/qhfAJ6cGJbSoK43N9
I think it would be more plausible if they said that Roxanne had simply changed her hair/name then that she was a secret agent. Mona could even have been a nickname she picked up somewhere. Here's my question though: why has Max never shown up or mentioned in Kingdom Hearts? We have Donald's relatives, so why not Goofy's son? (Also I really want that Watso Videos pillow in the background)
Potentially- In Mickey's once upon a Christmas- Huey, Dewey and Louie are 10. Max is also 10. In Mickey's twice upon a Christmas, Huey, Dewey, and Louie are still 10- But Max is like 20.
Dude, this is new, but they recently aired a ducktales episode where goofy shows a lot of pictures in his wallet of max, a lot of the time with Roxanne? Could this mean something?
They were my favorite animated couple as youngster. Yes they should belong 2gether, they had good chemistry. I subscribed 2 u're Channel You rock. Thanks for being you!!!!
Max and Roxane are one of my favourite Disney pairs even though it's seems there aren't one. I'm so sad and after hearing this and am going back to my dream world where they have a happy every after. And I'm angry too. Roxanne could have just cut her hair. That is the dumbest excuse I've ever heard!!!
People are forgetting that her father is quite a mean person and could be responsible for the break up. Could have gotten a transfer to another job out of state and forced her to move with him because she didnt have any other relatives in that town.

I lost my father over the summer back in 2017 I only got 23yrs with him. I've been thinking back to the goofy movie quite a bit recently, revisiting a few of the songs and they've moved me to tears, uncontrollable sobbing really. As silly as the movie can be, there's some truly heartbreaking moments in it, this movie bears a powerful message, love your parents, enjoy every second of time you get with them, always apologize after an argument, you don't necessarily have to admit you're wrong because often you will be right but apologize for the fact that it occured. Your parents sacrifice a lot so you can get by, (if you are fortunate enough to have good parents, I know many are not and for that I'm deeply sorry) and you may even sometimes wonder why they brought you into this world filled with such abject misery but just know that they want you to find joy, to experience the best of life and to live in peace. You won't have them here forever but they will always be with you always. I'll leave you with a line of lyrics from a very new song that most of you probably know already. "How did I live in a kingdom of thieves and people who say things they don't really mean?"
I also want to say this isn't a post to bring anyone down, I just want to help people not to live in regret. This channel deserves recognition, it's good to see some one making clean, wholesome content is getting the notice they deserve!
I definitely think max and Roxanne should be together they are adorable. also could you do a video on pj's mother and little sister, in the show goof troop Pete, is goofys neighbor and has a wife a son and daughter but in both goofy movies and house of mouse his wife and daughter are never mentioned could you please do a video on what happened to them thank you so much
Pretty sure the wife divorced Pete and took the girl with her. PJ was probably given a choice to stay with his dad or leave with his mom and chose the former so he can stay in contact with Max and his other friends.
You guys I have finally figured it out. The complete timeline of Max and Roxane's relationship. Pay very close attention. We start off with the first "goofy movie". After the events of the first movie we then cut to the opening of "an extremely goofy movie" Max, PJ, and Bobby are leaving for college. They make it to college and get settled in. It is at this point where you hit pause and we jump to "Mickey's twice upon a Christmas" It is Winter break and Max is bringing, "Mona", his new girlfriend that he met in college, home for the holidays. Then we jump back to "an extremely goofy movie" Max is back at college with his friends and him and Mona go separate ways. Max decides to focus on college and the X games. The rest of an "extremely goofy movie" plays out. After college Max decides to get a job with his dad at "the house of mouse" This is where the House of Mouse episode "Max's embarrassing date" takes place. After coming back from college Max and Roxanne reunite and decide to give it one more try thus the episode plays out. And there you have it folks the entire Max and Roxanne timeline. And the answer to your question is yes. Yes they are still together
And if you want to top it off with anything, we see Goofy has a photo of her and Max in his wallet in the Ducktales 2020 episode Quack Pack, so we can take that as proof of them still going strong.
I always thought they went their separate ways. Interesting to learn how things worked out in more detail. Thanks Issac, I loved A Goofy Movie. Would love to see more videos relating to this movie. Including on Goofy's neighbor, father of Max's friend.
I still ship Max and Roxanne, despite the Mickey Christmas movie. They're too adorable together, and I just can't find a reason as to why they would break up.
I really believe and like for Max and Roxanne to end up being together forever. They build every moment and time in their relationship that brought them together in their life.
Roxanne changed her name to Mona. She learned about the song "Roxanne". It's only a little harder to change your name than your hair. That's my headcanon.

Who did she get replaced with? 😆
@@CaptainFALKEN Some random chick with the same voice actress. Roxanne was supposed to be in Twice Upon a Christmas, but due to not having technology to animate her hair, they replaced her with someone else, rather than give Roxanne a haircut.

I MUST KNOW IF THIS IS TRUE! I love Ducktales and love any Easter Eggs!
Its true, but the photo of them together was like when they were teenagers and at their prom I think. But it could be Disney’s way of saying that what happened with Mona wasn’t canon or something since it didn’t show any photos of Mona.

They are the most adorable!
Man I remember that Mona girl I was so sad and confused when she sounded like Roxanne. I think they could've made her Roxanne still by just making it seem she matured and cut her her short to show a passage of time.
Cpn. Beartato I hated Mona
Miara Godbell I was very sad when I saw her instead of Roxanne like they were perfect still think they should've just said she cut her hair short
Cpn. Beartato but mona's hair is brown (might not matter)
Foxy World they could've just changed her hair Roxanne colored and said she cut her hair
Foxy World Roxanne could've dyed her hair brown too.
Max and Roxanne are so cute together.
If Goof Troop ever gets a reboot,I hope they show an older Max and see if Max and Roxanne will be together at last
DoraeArtDreams-Aspy True that
This comment as kinda aged well after Duck S3EP02
I was right
In Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas: WHY COULDN'T THEY HAVE JUST MADE IT ROXANNE WITH A HAIRCUT?? People already knew the character, it wouldn't have been such a big deal if they just had her cut her hair.
Oh well. I do also hope they'll be together again someday...
Ro994 I agree, I was just about to comment about having her get a hair cut until I saw your comment.
lol I just commented about this, I hadn't read the comments yet (I agree with you, though)
Ro994 thats what i was thinking if her hair was hard to animate why could they say she cut your hair
But kept her hair ,eyes, and nose color
I know. I think it's just silly they made that change. Thanks for watching!
Your first love is always something beautiful that you remember fondly. But unfortunately it is not very likely that that is the person you'll end up marrying.
It is rare that high school sweethearts end up together. And I know it’s Disney, but Goofy and Max are so slice of life that it makes sense they broke up.
But it’s a cartoon so it most likely happens
Yeah but it's a cartoon not real life and when you see the lengths he went thought just to get with her you would think it would have been end game.
I love Max and Roxanne :) I don`t understand why change the character if "Mona" was originally going to be Roxanne? I mean if her hair was the problem then have her change it to a shorter hairstyle. I mean that would just show that she had changed her hair when she got older.
I was just thinking the same thing. I had long hair throughout high school but ended up cutting most of it off within my first year of college.
Yeah! I mean, everyone tries a radically different hairstyle once…
I know. It's just too bad they changed everything around like that. Thanks for watching!

Three Words, 2 characters reuniting, 1 movie title: *A Goofy Wedding* 😎
*Synopsis:* a "First Girl Wins" animated chick-flick in which Max moves back to Spoonerville to help his librarian step mom take care of his accident prone, _finally_ injured father, and consequently he runs into the New town physiotherapists: Roxanne.
I already got script ideas for this😏🙄🤔
Disney, give this guy a job!
You're gonna need a producer fam. Disney, let's make it happen and get this man a chair!

Really? That theory about Mona and Roxanne being the same due to secret agent work? That is an outrageous theory. I can make a better theory right now. Mona is Roxanne, but she cut and dyed her hair, and decided to go by her middle name. that works....unless they already said her middle name.
Ean Michael Sudholtz That makes so much more sense. The secret agent theory is so over the top and extra
It’s surprising how people till this day still have questions about this movie even though it was made decades ago, make me happy.
FINALLY SOMEONE ACTUALLY RECOGNIZED THIS!!! CAUSE I WAS SO CONFUSED AS A I CHILD WHEN THE SECOND MOVIE CAME OUT! I needed closure thanks!
My pleasure! I'm glad I could make this. Thanks for watching!
LOL Nothing goes past you. I'm glad that you mentioned House of Mouse. I did not about the christmas special. I wish they would've just cut Roxanne's hair and still put her in the christmas movie.
I completely agree with you there. Thanks for watching!
I mean, Beauty and the Beast is set in the 18th century while 101 Dalmatians is set in the 1960s.
OMG! STOP WITH THE FUCKING HAIRCUTTING! SO SICK OF THAT! NOT EVERY GIRL NEEDS TO HAVE SHORT HAIR!
FireStormBaller you didn’t get the point
Damn. You did a good amount of research. Nicely done.
There is a photo of Max in graduation clothes, yes, but we don't know if it's from his high school or college graduation. It could be either, so it's not as strong a continuity point.
THIS is what had to have happened.
I’m just gonna consider Mona in an alternate timeline. In main timeline canon I imagine max and roxanne still together
In my head canon, Max and Roxanne are a couple. And as far as I know eventually get married.
Me too we were left on a cliffhanger for their relationship
@@icysnow57cold64 as someone who only feel romantic attraction, not sexual, I can assure you that you are in fact 100% completely wrong
@@zeebo30 How am I wrong?
@@icysnow57cold64 "the romantic type of love isn't real." this is completely and totally false and dismisses people who only feel romantic attraction.
Disney, you know what we want. ROXANNE AND MAX!
I adore Roxanne

Yeah she so cute 🥰
She sees him too, and says
Hi Max, do you remember me?
Roxanne appears in scene
Then they could rebuild their relationship, but Roxanne has another boyfriend already, Max is frustrated. He is jealous of Max, for that he fight with him. Roxanne looks worried and starts crying. She tell Max: You are not that boy who I loved.
The screen turns black and the title appears:
A New Max Movie "Rebirth of love"
Roxanne and Max are watching the sunset, and max says
Do you still love me?
Coming soon
That would be like a drama
Max went on to a different College and then Roxanne went to a different College as well they met up at their school reunions in the year 2020 yes
The reunion would have to be on Zoom though.

Me too! I actually saw An Extremely Goofy Movie first. Thanks for watching!
I love both but love the first one more
The most underrrated Disney movie has the cutest couple
(Side Note: I know that Quack Pack took place in a world inhabited by humans while DuckTales and Goof Troop were inhabited by anthropomorphized animal people, but Chip n' Dale Rescue Rangers also took place in a human-populated world, and according the awesome five-part Disney Adventures comic crossover "The Legend of the Chaos God" --
disney.wikia.com/wiki/The_Legend_of_the_Chaos_God -- the five shows involved in that crossover--TaleSpin, Chip n' Dale Rescue Rangers, Goof Troop, DuckTales, and Darkwing Duck--all take place in the same world. So if Chip n' Dale could have a human population living in a world where animal people populate other cities like Duckburg, St. Carnard, Cape Suzette, and Spoonerville, I see no reason why Quack Pack can't also have had humans move into Duckburg at some point after DuckTales, but I digress.)
By the time of An Extremely Goofy Movie, Max has graduated high school and entered college, making him old enough to later (but not too much later) become the parking valet for the House of Mouse when he starts working there.
I really appreciate this kind of detailed analysis, thank you
What, "mona" even has the beauty spot near her eye. I'm gonna roll with that witness protection theory lol

here's a fun fact, in the Quack Pack episode of the Ducktales Reboot Goofy has Max and Roxanne prom pictures
Night which episode?
@@stefanmovieflixtomasi season 3 episode 2 of the DuckTales reboot, Donald accidentally made a wish on a genie's lamp for "a normal family with normal family problems."
This led to a sitcom style episode using the quack pack name.

Roxanna could've just had a hair-cut. Boom, problem solved!

The Disney movie with his new girlfriend is non canon.
Spin-offs happen all the time.
Potentially- In Mickey's once upon a Christmas- Huey, Dewey and Louie are 10. Max is also 10. In Mickey's twice upon a Christmas, Huey, Dewey, and Louie are still 10- But Max is like 20.

Thumbs up if you still love A Goofy Movie in 2021 🌟
I clicked the thumbs up
I lost my father over the summer back in 2017 I only got 23yrs with him.
2 years later, sorry to hear that, you doing better now?
I definitely think max and Roxanne should be together they are adorable. also could you do a video on pj's mother and little sister, in the show goof troop Pete, is goofys neighbor and has a wife a son and daughter but in both goofy movies and house of mouse his wife and daughter are never mentioned could you please do a video on what happened to them thank you so much
Katherine Lowe they are and they have a kid :)
Pretty sure the wife divorced Pete and took the girl with her. PJ was probably given a choice to stay with his dad or leave with his mom and chose the former so he can stay in contact with Max and his other friends.
Luna Moonstone I always wondered what happened to peg and pistol after goof troop they were good characters
I want to start a petition for A GOOFY WEDDING.....powerline for the wedding band!!
yes max and roxanne a new song for powerline please make and album
When goofy appeared in Ducktales he showed his wallet and pics of Roxanne and Max together meaning they are definitely still a couple
It’s a little odd that Max aged up in House of Mouse but Roxanne still looks the same
You ever think that Twice upon a Christmas happened during college? Otherwise why would him being home for christmas be such a big deal?
They're still together in my eyes since Mona was supposed to be Roxanne in the first place.
Their relationship is the cutest freaking thing I have ever seen. It makes me so happy! In my mind, they end up together:)
Me too
It's nice to see someone who cares as much about these characters as I do. I hope they return as a couple. Great video!
Right? I feel the same way. Thanks for watching!
This answers a question I've asked since An Extremely Goofy Movie came out. Wish Roxanne could have become a regular character in the Goof story.
Yes
I really believe and like for Max and Roxanne to end up being together forever. They build every moment and time in their relationship that brought them together in their life.

Maybe it’s one of those things where they break up, and when they’re older they fall in love again.
