King Candy could have solved all his problems if he just programmed Vanelope as his daughter. Ralph would have just got the medal and gone back to Fix it Felix. King Candy would still be in power and no one would know he was Turbo
What's the point in being a princess if you can never rise to power? The characters in the game never age. They been in the arcade for 20 years and they're still children.
Kittalia that's true, he's still be in power and have the attention he wanted, maybe he did it because he was angry of his past mistakes and wanted someone else to feel his pain ? ? * shoulder shrug *
But here's the real question. How was no one else in the arcade aware of his overthrow of Princess Vanellope? He only locked away the memories of Sugar Rush. But other characters in the arcade clearly interact with each other and remember them by name and personality, like when Fix-It Felix says "There's Mario. Fashionably late, per the norm." This means that either Sugar Rush was so ignored by the other games that they didn't even notice or Turbo took over so quickly after it was installed that the others didn't have time to notice.
adding to that they apparantly aren't very good at Observing the way Ralph is when he noticed what his game SHOULD have noticed a long time ago when the game came to the arcade that Venellope was on the SIDE of the GAME why would she be there if she wasn't supposed to be as all Arcade games do they showcase their themed or main characters on the front and sides of the game itself
At the end of the movie, we learn that Vanellope was the princess of Sugar Rush and that all the characters respected her. Turbo simply took her place as the King. That's why his castle seems "pink" because it wasn't meant for him in the first place.
*First Comment King Candy was one of the most intriguing villains Disney has made and perhaps one of the few instances where the "surprise villain" was done right. Both the audience and myself were surprised that King Candy and Turbo were the same person! Thanks for the video Isaac.
Ernesto Chacon He didn’t look like a surprise villain to me. His minions are classed as the film’s tertiary villains, and he prior to revealing himself as Turbo did use villainous traits such as with his words.
CuriousUserX90 True, but as a said in my comment the audience including myself were surprised/shocked that King Candy and Turbo were the same character. Even some of the characters in the film especially Ralph and Felix thought Turbo was gone for good up until the film's climax where both of them were watching the Monitor screen as Vanellope's glitching, causes King Candy to glitch, revealing himself to be Turbo. This led to Felix and Ralph to be shocked and speechless at the sight of this revelation.
I love this theory. I have my own theory for the size of King Candy's code. Expert programmers learn how to make their codes more efficient, using fewer lines of code than an amateur. Maybe King Candy, being self-taught doesn't know how to keep his code smaller
Well he is from a different game entirely. I was under the impression that his code was simply so different than the Sugar Rush code, that he had to go to great lengths to make them compatible with each other, which is why his code is so big.
@randomnessproductions4212 Basically, he coded an emulator for himself. He made the code box so big because of the overhead placed on the cabinet's processor.
I just wanna point out the single, lone electrical dot traveling super-slowly compared to the Pac-Train at 0:31-0:33. Turbo effing _drove_ all the way to _RoadBlasters_ in his car. Seriously. What a nutcase. I love him.
He was all ready to start at the race track, saw people go over to RoadBlasters instead of his game, got angry and drove straight over there without warning, and he was so angry he forgot to get out of his car! 😂😂😂
I wonder why Turbo just chose to take over Sugar Rush after RoadBlasters and TurboTime went down? There are lots of other racing video games in LitWak’s Arcade he could have taken over? And after Sugar Rush was unplugged before being fixed and plugged back in at the end in the sequel, why didn’t Vanelope and the Sugar Rush racers just move into and reprogram themselves to become racers in another racing video game at LitWak’s Arcade?
“Who are you? The guy that makes the donuts?” That line really made me chuckle, especially since Turbo realized he wasn’t getting the immediate attention he desired.
Here’s another thought: His catchphrase was “turbotastic” And he compulsively says it as it’s in his code. So he intelligently created a new catchphrase using the exact amount of syllables “Tons of candy!”
I forgot where I read this info from, but I remember reading that the writers of Turbo said that " He was hiding away deep in the bowels of GCS growing more and more bitter, learned a thing or two about code, saw Sugar Rush plugged in and made his move before anyone played the game. That’s our story and we’re stickin to it" *BTW I KNOW THIS BY MEMORY* If I ever do find the site again, I could paste the link in the comment if you want
Which means everything said here is the truth. Turbo hacked Roadblasters, much like Early Rom Hackers would I.E. forcibly tinkering with the code and testing it until they got it right. That however inside a game, is suicidal not to mention Omnicidal since as far as we see no characters from Roadblasters left before the unplugging. We know he picked up more knowledge of code changing as he hid, and I can provide a credible idea where it came from. What is the first game we see from within besides Fix-it Felix? Pac-man, and there is a very popular squeal to that game Mrs. Pac-man which as many may know started life as a different game in more ways than one. To quote the Wiki "Mrs. Pac-man originally conceived as an enhancement kit for Pac-Man called Crazy Otto." The original Crazy Otto was much more in line with modern hacks where even the Ghosts were changed and Otto had legs, Midway saw this and quickly bought up those making it and remade it into the game where Clyde's sister was born Sue. The insides of a Mrs. Pac-man are no where near as tidy as the base Pac-man either, as they had to use what are known as "Daughterboards" in place of certain rom chips as they only had so many. Think of the Delorean in BTTF3 when Doc from 1950 replaces the main chip the hardware of the era is much larger so the "chip" that would fit in your hand became that box on the hood of the car. From this you could fathom a guess at a big source of Turbo's code knowledge. Heck it doesn't even need to start there as clone games exist like Crazy Kong, and those games along with any game made in Japan would of received minor code alterations. Kanji to English and so forth, and imagine he sneaked into Pong the most simple game the arcade ever had (Even if Litwak had a Computer Space it would offer no clues to his code breaking, that game's code was hard wired due to it being made entirely with Transistors and Resistors while I'm sure the rules of entry still would allow travel to it's game space it would be a matter of new code is flushed ever time the game starts. I'd like to see that admittedly as I don't mean every time a quarter was put in it deleted new bits I mean a code surge would send all nonnative code back to GCS.) so simple a game that not much would be screwed up no matter how much he tinkered, as long as the Puck and the bars were left alone no one would see a change.
JESUS SUPER LATE BUT I found the sites: #1: www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/12omde/i_am_rich_moore_director_of_wreckit_ralph_ama/ ( Search around and scroll down for a bit you will see it ) #2: tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Headscratchers/WreckItRalphTurbo ( Its in the beginning part you will find it fast )
0:23 RoadBlasters was a game I played a lot back when I was homeless. The arcade near the shelter I stayed in allowed shelter residents to play for free (regular people had to pay $10 to get in, but all the games were either set to free play or had the token compartment door open so attendees could just push the token thing down), and I'd always gravitate towards either RoadBlasters or Hydro Thunder.
One thing I find kinda odd is how none of the players ever noticed Vanellope’s absence throughout the years, which would have been Turbo/King Candy’s one fatale flaw to his plan. If one of the players mentions how confused they are as to why Princess Vanellope isn’t on the roster and is instead replaced by some unknown character, then that would make the Sugar Rush racers and citizens grow suspicious of KC. Another awful scenario that could happen would be if the players tell Litwak about the problem and lead him to think the game is broken and unplug it, making KC/Turbo homeless again while also dooming the Sugar Rush characters and Vanellope!
Your theory was well laid Issac. Especially when comparing the elevator with your own studies. Very astute. I love Wreck it Ralph and find King Candy/Turbo to be an intriguing and complex character. Have a magical day as well.
I think that during the time Turbo was M.I.A, he was not only coming up with his method to completely take over a game so he will always be number one. But he might have went into different games while wearing a disguise (kind of like when Ralph put on the armor that belonged to one of the game character's from the newly installed game, "Heroes Duty"). My reason for thinking this is that after Turbo's first attempt failed, he decided to be more cautious and think things through. Since he is a racing type character, Turbo must have automatically decided to avoid games that had nothing to do with racing. Trying out different games that had to do with racing, as well as making sure that the racing game were popular enough for him to get the attention he wants. Because as much as he wants to have all the attention on him, I can see him being very prideful and aware of his own strengths & weaknesses when it comes to certain types/genre of games. Plus, he considers himself the greatest racer ever and the likelihood of him abandoning that title/letting someone else take that title away from him is very low.
I think its important to note that Turbo got help from someone, evidenced by how he tugged on the licorice right after having changed the source code. Option A is that he somehow got someone from sugar rush to help him do this, Option B is that he somehow had a machine that pulls him back in when he tugs but I feel as though this is not that likely or available to him, Option C is a branch off of option A, where Turbo gets helped by someone but deletes them so that his secret would remain just that, a secret.
Christopher Robin made then up. Then as he grew up he grew out of playing with them he then left them in the woods. Idk that's my theory but it makes sense to me ya know?
You see, Vanellope is the main character and the one who is the answer to the Source code in Sugar Rush. If anyone watched carefully when Fix it Felix fixed the end of the racing line , the game automatically reset by Vanellope's coding reconnecting her to the game, which was the reason why Turbo disconnected her from the source code and caged everyone's memories from Sugar Rush Code system to suit the game to his selfish desires.
There's what looks like part of a rotting corpse behind Turbo when Turbo told Vanelope who he was. That could have been the real King Candy. King Candy likely was an npc who may have been related to Vanelope as she is PRINCESS Vanelope. This is inspired by something I saw pointed out and another theory video I had watched.
I would love to see a theory video on why Violet, Dash, and Jack-Jack didnt genetically inherit their parents' powers. Like why they dont have any super strength or elasticity.
I mean the producer or something said he based their powers off of their age or role because Moms are being pulled in every direction, A dad is seen as strong, teenage girls sometimes wanna be invisible or guarded, little boys are fast and energetic, and babies are jacks of all trade
This makes me wonder, if Turbo took over Sugar Rush, what happened to the original King Candy? Was he erased like their memories were, or was Turbo simply programmed to look like that when entering Sugar Rush? Could be a dark theory if Turbo somehow deleted the original king :o
Dwelling on the password lock, do you think that EVERY game has a password protected source code? What about a password protected elevator? Since Turbo was smart enough to figure out how to reprogram the game, do you think that Turbo made the lock? If he did indeed create the lock and pretty much everyone can access the code, why aren't there more "Turbos". Like wouldn't more and more people (mainly the villains in Ralph's group) want to change who they are and reprogram a game so they are the "good guys". If Turbo can do it, than it can't be THAT hard. Also, for the most part, there are guards (technically) who "protect" the ports. That then begs the question, why not guard the source code? Anyway, good video as always, but here's something for you to think about :)
My guess would be the source code is really hard to find, it'd be like Vanellope's unused beta level, most people don't even know it's there since it's not supposed to accessed. My second guess, though this is just a wild assumption, maybe you can't get to the source code of your own game. To keep things intact, the world won't let you rewrite your own existence. But outsiders can get to the source code since they're basically viruses or intruders, code that was never meant to be there and doesn't follow the same rules. If this is true, guarding the port and source code would be redundant since an outsider would have to pass the port guards to even get into a game where they can mess with the source code So then, how could the sour candy guy get to the source code of his own game? Maybe Turbo changed his code, or maybe he can get to the entrance of the source code but not actually go into the room.
@@lindenbree9188 You know the glitch in Super Mario Land 2 where you can make the game read RAM and ROM as level tiles to be interacted with and altered but only after precise clipping I think it's a similar deal just now with a safe guard wall to the code void
Great video! I still wonder about the detail they added regarding it being written on Tapper's though. Very intriguing... Perhaps his whole takeover was staged along with others? Who knows... It's very interesting :D :D
Maybe Turbo went to hide there between the Road Blasters incident and his takeover of Sugar Rush the bar is full of left over stuff maybe a copy of the Konami code was left there and that’s where he got it
Thank you! That was really the only part I am feeling pretty wishy washy about other than the gap between him hijacking the two games. If Turbo comes back I would love Disney to explain him.
If Turbo wrote himself into the game's code, as seen in the movie, then how is it that he remained in permanent "game over?" Is it because Vanellope crossed the finish line thus reinstating herself into the code once more or is it because he _wasn't_ able to discover how the code brings people back? OR... does Sugar Rush not even have a way to bring them back since they don't tend to "die" if they crash? On top of this, how did the game keep Vanellope within itself and mostly functioning if she was disconnected to all coded plugins? [I ask because game coding is very precise and will not work if something is even missing one letter]
@@AvalancheTV Then again, “King Candy” isn’t from Sugar Rush either. He was only a disguise by Turbo so he could fit into the world of Sugar Rush even though his character was the only non-licensed character in the game.
Most games do use ROM, you (usually) cannot edit this while running the game. So all he was able was to modify the code in RAM, which is already running. Since King Candy's Code is no where in the ROM, he just got unlinked and finally deleted on reset. Considering how the game doesn't let a character die in their own game, Vanellope could not be deleted entirely, so she became "unused content" - a fragment in code nothing points to, but the game keeps it in existance - like the hidden map in Sugar Rush. King Candy must have tried to forcibly delete the characters in the other game and it crashed horribly (Programmers would say "NullPointerReference", etc). The game itself may run as some sort of scripted "Nature's Physics" outside the "code rooms", they cannot escape that. So the best choice was to "unlink" her from all code and replace it with his own.
@@Sypakabut what happens if let's say cane candy AKA turbo when he was home this he was in the arcade Central station I haven't watched this movie for a long time I used to watch it all the time when I was younger so let's say what happens if they put in a new turbo time what happens to the original turbo does the old one erase or does the old one get their memory wiped and put in the new turbo time
Turbos overall color scheme may not have been updated to 16-bits to match the visuals in roadblasters but I think at one point he matched the game’s sprite scaling technique to appear from off in the distance.
The fact that Turbo was smart enough to address his own controversy while making himself look bad is crazy. He knew how stupid he was being, and convinced everybody around him that he was king Candy.
What if Wreck It Ralph is like Doki Doki Literature Club? ✖SPOILERS✖ Think about it, Monika changes the code and deletes others so you only spend time with her. So its *JUST MONIKA*
Monika is like Turbo/King Candy, and Sayori (and eventually yuri and natsuki) is like Vanellope. Especially when you consider that act 2 is glitchy, and you will sometimes see glitched images of sayori after writing a poem.
Excellent theory but one major question is that turbo had to use to rope to move around in the code room. Before he locked away everyone’s memories who helped him access it since he had someone pull him out of the code room
It’s obviously Sour Bill considering he was the only one who knew Vanellope was a licensed character the whole time and that Turbo unplugged her data box and literally locked up the memory boxes of the racers and citizens.
Wotso was talking coding, sometimes in order to properly copy code you need to make something known as a Deep Clone. (a normal copy copies only the outer layer of code, while with a Deep Clone the required code is copied at every layer of abstraction.)
I have a theory how he managed to get around unseen, he must've worn a grim reaper cloak to hide his face, he probably hung out at Tapper's for a while which is how he gets the code, he probably lived in Gaming Central (A.K.A. the power bar) and was hidden in one of the back rooms that we see when we pan out to see all of Gaming Central, he probably lived as a hobo for a while and waited for the next racing game to come
Turbo is a program and any program can be reprogrammed. So in turbo's time in hiding he reprogrammed himself to be a virus. A stronger one then the bugs. Thats how he took over the game and bugs so fast.
I thought it was backwards and bugs absorbe code of what they eat, so they become an amalgamation, like some sort of evolutive tool that helps them adapt themselves to the anviroment they are in in order to take over more efficiently
He was still programmed to be in the game. Let's say I made a fan game with sonic and sans undertale fighting each other in Hogwarts. Sans sans sonic would both regenerate, despite this hogwarts themed game being neither a sonic game nor undertale. This is because the characters are in the code.
I bought the movie and pondered the same issues in comical logic. I love how you spewed out mind candy about it. Thanks for sating my mental sweet tooth on this.
I think King Candy was probably planning his return. He may have eavesdropped on Lipwack (Or whatever his name is) and found out there was a new game coming. I think your video was very well made! Thanks! :)
I have a question. During the flash back where we see King Candy locking away the memories, we see him tug on the rope around his waist. Someone had to be there to pull him back. Meaning someone helped him. He seemed to have changed his appearance already, but his code wouldn't have been in there at the beginning. How would he have convinced anyone to help him when they would have known he wasn't a resident? If he could, why would they help him?
I've been thinking about the passlock ... A. It could be part of the watch-dog system, monitoring abstraction calls and 'barking' when an out-of-line call occurs. B. It could be an anti-bootlegging feature in both cases the Konami Code could represent a 33-bit (at minimum) checksum for source-code access calls.
I think this movie NEEDS a sequel!! (Not to ruin the first one though, I just want it to be popular again!! 😁) Vanellope and the grumpy green candy are my fave characters 😂. Who are your favorites?
I have heard that there will be a sequel to it and somehow Mario is involved. But that is a rumor. I personally would like to see this sequel over Frozen. Frozen is so overrated even though I like it but I love Wreck-it Ralph. I think Vanellope is the best character
If Litwak announced his intentions to unplug a game, but pulls out the wrong cord, a bunch of unsuspecting game characters are all dead. I’m assuming when he puts it back in, realizing his mistake, either all of their memories are gone or all of the characters are just new.
You've touched up on so many theories I've had for Turbo for such a long time, literally every word out of your mouth made me nod because I've thought of each theory before. Nobody listens when I start ranting about how Turbo got his code into sugar rush, I'm so glad I'm not the only one who's looked into this, lol
Do a video on the Wicked Nine from Sofia the First. The Wicked Nine are are nine accessories of nine Disney Villains. Each Item is contained with each special gem inside. But how did the gems come to be? And why the objects?
That would have made a very good prequel to Wreck-It Ralph. BTW, in the fictional company that made Fix It Felix Jr., Turbo and Sugar Rush, would there have been a few vengeful or spiteful coders in the programming teams of those games? Would someone from the team that made Turbo put in some malicious code that would allow Turbo to detect games more popular than his game and allow him to hack the other games and make them crash?
THEORY ALERT!! THEORY ALERT!!! I know this was about a year ago but what if Turbo was originally a good guy? He probably justified his actions in his mind because he probably has the fear of being forgotten and replaced. He probably spiraled down into insanity because of his fear and anger that kept on coming back to deteriorate his mind. Maybe his friends saw his depressed state and tried to help him but Turbo pushed them aside, claiming that he was fine and that you don't need to worry about him. Once Turbo leaves and goes into the new game and accidentally corrupts it, he flees the game and goes back to his game to warn the others only to realize that the plug was pulled. He's angry and guilty at himself for basically murdering his friends and family. So he went to the bar to drown away his sorrows. That's where Turbo hears about a code and a way to possibly bring his friends back. He quickly grabbed a pen from a drunk character beside him and starts writing the code on the napkin and goes around to find the center. After the long and hard journey that was laid before him, he finally found it. The key to bringing back his friends and family. He punched in the code, a huge grin on his face. The doors opened and he starts messing with the code. After a couple of hours in the code, he realized something. The thing that he realized was you can't bring anyone back that hasn't existed. The plug was pulled and his friends and family's personal coding... Are nonexistent. He then goes to his own coding and tries to take his life and, he fails. That's when he really started to justify his actions, thus becoming the insane king of Candy Rush. In short, Turbo felt terrified of being forgotten. He then pushed away help from family members and got both plugs pulled after narrowly escaping his death while in the process, he murdered his fam. Feeling terrible he tries to drink his sorrows away, only to find that there a way to bring back his family. That fails and he tries to commit suicide. That fails too, and his mind finally broke. This is the (possibly) true tale of King Candy... Our Lil' Turbo in disguise.
I have a theory: King Candy was an elderly person before Turbo stole the copy of his codes and lock him up in the dungeon and torture him. After Turbo died, Vanellope found the broken game codes and reformed King Candy, and free him. I found this at Wreck it Ralph Fanon.
I never noticed but when Ralph gets caught and first meets king candy, king candy says “ milk my duds it’s wreck it Ralph” he recognized him immediately since they were neighbors at some point, I don’t know why nobody picked up on that
It also could be that Turbo's code was incompatible with the Road Blasters arcade hardware. If I remember my history correctly, these early arcade games were programed in assembly language, when someone writes a program in assembly, they are directly talking to the system's CPU (the circuit responsible for interpreting binary data stored in a computer's memory, in this instance, the code burned into chips on the motherboard of the arcade machine), but each chip speaks a different language, if you tried to program it in the wrong language it wouldn't work (imagine speaking English to someone who only knows a language other than English, they probably would have trouble understanding you.)
I think I know why Turbo glitched. If Vanelope was a glitch at the time, the glitch that occurred once the cars come into contact in the action caused the character model for Turbo to be revealed. I believe this because this is about the same as what happened to Turbo when he touched the player in the other car game (I forget the name) I also believe that Turbo was hiding in the bricks where Ralph lives. For one thing, he knew who Ralph was, and you could say he glanced at the game in Game Central Station, but we know the game is called “Fix-It-Felix Jr.” Sure, he could know Felix, but he couldn’t have heard of Ralph, unless he entered the game. Sure, so he could have been told by someone at Tapper’s, but he would have looked like Turbo, who is famous for his game breaking. Even if his story wasn’t popular, he still couldn’t have figured out Ralph from description, because he was in a giant cupcake at the time. Even if he still recognized Ralph without going into the game, he couldn’t have hid out at Game Central Station, because of his infamy. Even if he was hiding one the story wasn’t big, eventually he would have to have some place to hide. I doubt he could of kept up hiding for 10 years, because Sugar Rush came in 1997, and I think Fox It Felix Jr premiered in 1987. Whoo. I think I covered everything. If you actually read all of that, thank you, and leave a like so Wotso can see.
Immediately at he says "I'm Turbo" at 1:57, Turbo breaks the 4th wall, looks directly at the Camera with 2 Thumbs up. The trick to seeing it in this video is the precise timing of when you hit the pause button.
I think the reason it reset when Vanellope crossed the finish line is that he did a poor job of ripping out her code as a racer. Basically she was lacking a protocol if she won, so the game hard-rebooted because of the error.
What would happen if a character went into and died in a copy of their own game? Like if plugged in two Mario Bros. cabinets and one Luigi went to meet the other but got pinched by a Sidestepper would that Luigi cease to exist or just respawn?....these are the questions that need answers!!!
That Turbo also murdered the real King Candy who was a side character/ Vanellope's actual Father, and took his coded body to use in the game to avoid Sugar Rush from crashing with his 8-bit body.
It's a theory that isn't really supported, but it's a sweet yet tragic idea. You can say when Turbo invaded Sugar Rush in secret before doing the grisly deed. Altering the original king's code to blend with his had done permanent damage, hence why no one remembers any former ruler, not even Vanellope remembers or realizes anyone is missing. It explains why she still glitches at the end too. Turbo basically damaged the cabinet. Again, just a 'what if' idea.
The father theory has been proven wrong as someone who helped make Wreck it Ralph confirmed that King Candy was a persona that Turbo completely fabricated
I really love watching your videos. You always explain everything down to the point and I always understand what your saying and dont feel dumb. Thank you for explaining the odd things in disney :)
My guess is that since Gradius has an arcade cabinet and the konami code was a dev tool for gradius maybe Turbo explored gradius one day and found his way into the sorce code, looked around and bit and stumbled onto the konami code.
wait- it's possible to have another sugar rush game on another arcade. are the humans gonna acknowledge that king candy is on this sugar rush game and not on any other arcades.
It may have the ability to be connected to the internet because sugar rush has new racers daily so that may be why it has a security code. Also why it may be a snes controller is that the programmer used old code they updated over the years. And with the new movie coming out about them going into the web the arcade owner added wifi to get the new racers for sugar rush.
wait a minute, thats a BIG giveaway that king candy said. When he said, "Your not going turbo are you?" how could he (even though he IS turbo) known that turbo existed? Sugar Rush was brand new and calhoun didnt know turbo so ralph could have pointed him out right when he was interrogating him!
Then again, Sugar Rush was over 15 years old by the events of Wreck-It Ralph compared to Hero’s Duty which was recently plugged in. So the characters of Sugar Rush, especially the racers, would already know about Turbo and the strict rule against “Going Turbo”.
what about the people who played it first wouldent they wonder where king candy came from and wear venelopie went? (sorry if i spelled anything wrong...)
Yep! There’s TONS of 80’s video game references that it can be hard to spot them all. Q-bert, the ghosts from PAC Man (Clyde in particular), Dr Egg Man/Robotnik, Rodger Craig Smith (the voice of Sonic), the Konami Code is the password to the source code and is modelled after a Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) controller, even Felix is basically modelled after Mario
This means he is still alive after being burned by the cola volcano since he copied all of his code into Sugar Rush, making that the new "native" game for him
But it wasn’t really him that went into the volcano beam thing, it was a cybug version of him, so since the cybugs were from a different game they all died, including king candy
BY THE WAY! I am doing a giveaway on my social medias during December! Just go follow me and like the item I'm giving away and you are entered. Happy holidays and happy Princess Week!

King Candy could have solved all his problems if he just programmed Vanelope as his daughter. Ralph would have just got the medal and gone back to Fix it Felix. King Candy would still be in power and no one would know he was Turbo
What I loved was all the hints of the twist. Pink castle, royal puns, hints of Candy's motives. Made an excellent twist.
It's really fun to go back and look for all of the clues!
but its not pink its clearly salmon
That's what he WANTS you to think! ;P

Is it just me who finds it strange that King Candy feeds his subjects candy, but his subjects are also candy?
That's borderline cannibalism.

Call Me Nefret It was still a pretty new game, so he probably took it over before everyone knew the characters in the game.
Call Me Nefret what if sugar rush was not as popular and turbo used that as a advantage to take over the game, so no one noticed.
adding to that they apparantly aren't very good at Observing the way Ralph is when he noticed what his game SHOULD have noticed a long time ago when the game came to the arcade that Venellope was on the SIDE of the GAME why would she be there if she wasn't supposed to be as all Arcade games do they showcase their themed or main characters on the front and sides of the game itself
And why did he did he want to only destroy valonple's code?
At the end of the movie, we learn that Vanellope was the princess of Sugar Rush and that all the characters respected her. Turbo simply took her place as the King. That's why his castle seems "pink" because it wasn't meant for him in the first place.
*First Comment
King Candy was one of the most intriguing villains Disney has made and perhaps one of the few instances where the "surprise villain" was done right. Both the audience and myself were surprised that King Candy and Turbo were the same person!
Thanks for the video Isaac.
He was so awesome! My pleasure! Happy you enjoyed it.
King candy wasn't the villain, Vanellope Von Schweet was the true villain.
It's called a "twist villian"
I love this theory. I have my own theory for the size of King Candy's code. Expert programmers learn how to make their codes more efficient, using fewer lines of code than an amateur. Maybe King Candy, being self-taught doesn't know how to keep his code smaller
Vulpen Avi and his original game was 8-bit, and sugar rush 3d, suggesting that he has less experience in coding because he is older
Fair point
Well he is from a different game entirely. I was under the impression that his code was simply so different than the Sugar Rush code, that he had to go to great lengths to make them compatible with each other, which is why his code is so big.
@randomnessproductions4212
Basically, he coded an emulator for himself. He made the code box so big because of the overhead placed on the cabinet's processor.

Seriously. What a nutcase. I love him.
He was all ready to start at the race track, saw people go over to RoadBlasters instead of his game, got angry and drove straight over there without warning, and he was so angry he forgot to get out of his car! 😂😂😂
Or maybe he was still riding in the train, which might not be visible through the cord

This video is turbo-tastic

Moony *Mario theme face desk*
THAT SNAIL IS FAST
Oh no.
“Who are you? The guy that makes the donuts?” That line really made me chuckle, especially since Turbo realized he wasn’t getting the immediate attention he desired.
Here’s another thought:
His catchphrase was “turbotastic”
And he compulsively says it as it’s in his code. So he intelligently created a new catchphrase using the exact amount of syllables
“Tons of candy!”
Huh I like that detail
Its "have some candy"
Can we all just stop and appreciate Alan Tudyks amazing performance as King Candy/Turbo? That guy is amazing.
I forgot where I read this info from, but I remember reading that the writers of Turbo said that " He was hiding away deep in the bowels of GCS growing more and more bitter, learned a thing or two about code, saw Sugar Rush plugged in and made his move before anyone played the game. That’s our story and we’re stickin to it" *BTW I KNOW THIS BY MEMORY*
If I ever do find the site again, I could paste the link in the comment if you want
Yes pls!!😁😁

Gosh dats tru 😲
Well duh
Could Turbo’s fellow racers have died when the game got unplugged.
They must have. It wouldn't make sense for them to be alive still; nor would it be relevant at all.
Unless they all evacuated, probably.

queendsheena1 hi
.
I'm still the greatest racer ever!

What’s funny is looking at turbos disguise, king candy. He kind of reminds me of the mad hatter from Alice in wonderland.

This makes me wonder, if Turbo took over Sugar Rush, what happened to the original King Candy? Was he erased like their memories were, or was Turbo simply programmed to look like that when entering Sugar Rush? Could be a dark theory if Turbo somehow deleted the original king :o
Why
The creator said that turbo actually created king candy, king candy wasn't in the game at all.
If this is true, guarding the port and source code would be redundant since an outsider would have to pass the port guards to even get into a game where they can mess with the source code
So then, how could the sour candy guy get to the source code of his own game? Maybe Turbo changed his code, or maybe he can get to the entrance of the source code but not actually go into the room.

Great video! I still wonder about the detail they added regarding it being written on Tapper's though. Very intriguing... Perhaps his whole takeover was staged along with others? Who knows... It's very interesting :D :D
The Theorizer HEYYYY! Your vids are great 😆
Maybe Turbo went to hide there between the Road Blasters incident and his takeover of Sugar Rush the bar is full of left over stuff maybe a copy of the Konami code was left there and that’s where he got it
Thank you! That was really the only part I am feeling pretty wishy washy about other than the gap between him hijacking the two games. If Turbo comes back I would love Disney to explain him.
I think he spent all that time trying to figure out how to take over a game without breaking it.
i think he asked the bar tender at tappers (disguised as someone else if possible)
Because he was mashed into a Cy-Bug which isn’t from Sugar Rush, and he died in a light which attracts Cybugs.
I think he couldn't respawn I mean he was afraid to die when Ralph chased hime
@@Sypakabut what happens if let's say cane candy AKA turbo when he was home this he was in the arcade Central station I haven't watched this movie for a long time I used to watch it all the time when I was younger so let's say what happens if they put in a new turbo time what happens to the original turbo does the old one erase or does the old one get their memory wiped and put in the new turbo time
I think that Turbo was hibernating in hiding in secret and waited for another game to be plugged in
Turbos overall color scheme may not have been updated to 16-bits to match the visuals in roadblasters but I think at one point he matched the game’s sprite scaling technique to appear from off in the distance.
I love your Christmas decorations in the background
Thank you! I enjoyed adding some Christmas spirit to my room! For the Christmas videos I'm going to wear a Santa hat too. Thanks for watching!

I have a theory how he managed to get around unseen, he must've worn a grim reaper cloak to hide his face, he probably hung out at Tapper's for a while which is how he gets the code, he probably lived in Gaming Central (A.K.A. the power bar) and was hidden in one of the back rooms that we see when we pan out to see all of Gaming Central, he probably lived as a hobo for a while and waited for the next racing game to come
How did tubo become the virus
His files were native and couldn’t be properly processed by the game
He aborsg the cybug and became a virus. The cybugs are virus that don't know are on the game.
TUBO tastic
4:08 He’s been into Various Games through Smash Bros., but he still regenerated fine, even outside Green Hill and Windy Hill.
He was still programmed to be in the game. Let's say I made a fan game with sonic and sans undertale fighting each other in Hogwarts. Sans sans sonic would both regenerate, despite this hogwarts themed game being neither a sonic game nor undertale. This is because the characters are in the code.

I absolutely loved this movie. Calhoun was definitely my favorite. She was so cool & the game she was from, I'd definitely play
I've been thinking about the passlock ...
A. It could be part of the watch-dog system, monitoring abstraction calls and 'barking' when an out-of-line call occurs.
B. It could be an anti-bootlegging feature
in both cases the Konami Code could represent a 33-bit (at minimum) checksum for source-code access calls.
Finally, the answers I've always wanted.
I'm glad I could bring them to you! Thanks for watching!

ooooooooooooooooooooooooooo that sounds really interesting!
Horcruxes...?
Paige Waite I swear I seen a fanfic with this exact plot in it
@@zuno6946 what's it called
I have a theory:
King Candy was an elderly person before Turbo stole the copy of his codes and lock him up in the dungeon and torture him. After Turbo died, Vanellope found the broken game codes and reformed King Candy, and free him. I found this at Wreck it Ralph Fanon.
I never noticed but when Ralph gets caught and first meets king candy, king candy says “ milk my duds it’s wreck it Ralph” he recognized him immediately since they were neighbors at some point, I don’t know why nobody picked up on that
To me I think that King Candy was coming to more power and taking over so he can be notice once again.
Immediately at he says "I'm Turbo" at 1:57,
Turbo breaks the 4th wall, looks directly at the Camera with 2 Thumbs up.
The trick to seeing it in this video is the precise timing of when you hit the pause button.

Yesssss!
Beth Miranda lol
In 3 more days this video will be 1 year old
I shall not look at arcade games the same ever again
I think the reason it reset when Vanellope crossed the finish line is that he did a poor job of ripping out her code as a racer. Basically she was lacking a protocol if she won, so the game hard-rebooted because of the error.
The best video ever!
I really appreciate that! I'm happy you liked it!
If the game resets, Turbo will die.
8:45
The face of Kingdom ing Candy looks like angry bird
True
True identity of Turbo, responsible for the real King Candy's demise.
I'm happy that you uploaded a new video! Keep up the great work Isaac
8:17 sounds so menacing
wait- it's possible to have another sugar rush game on another arcade. are the humans gonna acknowledge that king candy is on this sugar rush game and not on any other arcades.
One of my favourite videos
Isaac I have that same Christmas Disney light!
REALLY?? THAT''S SO COOL! Thanks for watching!
Wotso Videos Your welcome! I always enjoy your videos! ☺
I CAN NOT WAIT FOR THE LAST JEDI!!!!!!!!

Wotso Videos Love the movie Wreck it raph
wait a minute, thats a BIG giveaway that king candy said. When he said, "Your not going turbo are you?" how could he (even though he IS turbo) known that turbo existed? Sugar Rush was brand new and calhoun didnt know turbo so ralph could have pointed him out right when he was interrogating him!
Good point! I never noticed that.
Then again, Sugar Rush was over 15 years old by the events of Wreck-It Ralph compared to Hero’s Duty which was recently plugged in. So the characters of Sugar Rush, especially the racers, would already know about Turbo and the strict rule against “Going Turbo”.
0:11 Turbo says your not going Turbo are you?
I always laughed at this😂😂😂😂
Hi
Hi!
what about the people who played it first wouldent they wonder where king candy came from and wear venelopie went? (sorry if i spelled anything wrong...)
no way I never noticed this but is that bowser king of the koopa
Imagine if the sequel reveals that this is how crossovers happen... lol
Forgot how he got the code
This means he is still alive after being burned by the cola volcano since he copied all of his code into Sugar Rush, making that the new "native" game for him
But it wasn’t really him that went into the volcano beam thing, it was a cybug version of him, so since the cybugs were from a different game they all died, including king candy
