Hey everyone! how was your weekend! here is a new video, story by Verastal. Let me know what you think! and remember to like and share (if you want to)
Happy Monday Ronnie! Weekend was good and hope yours was too! Me and Jeb recommend your awesome videos to literally everyone and have helped create a few new fans of your work. 👏 Stoked on a new story for a Monday! Woohoo!
😂 its sad but even though they have to deal with unimaginable horrors and live in a far more unstable and fantastic world, health care seems to be far better in the creepypasta universe and 90% of the population goes to college. Also, the Internet connections over there are second to none and it's quite normal to post your experiences on Reddit. Otherwise they are just like us.
I'm a college student and I listen to your videos everyday while working custodial. I actually enjoy work at this point because I get to listen to your stories. Thank you for what you do and keep it up man.
10 year old me was searching my mom's closet for Christmas presents. I was reaching up high on the top shelf and something fell on my head and nearly knocked me out. I picked it up and it was a HUGE sparkly blue vibrator.
My finger got sliced open by iceskates and I was in urgent care in 8 min. I have also gone for illness and gotten in in 20. I guess it depends where you live?
I don’t know why, I’m not even a dad, but the stories about fathers, losing their children, as always stood out to be some of the most horrifying shit ever
Right? The family shit messes with me. I'm not a mom yet, but I'm really close to my family, so any stories where the family is involved always tugs at my hear strings and makes the mc more sympathetic.
I am a parent, and I can tell you that losing a child in any sense of the word, is the worst thing that can ever happen in your life. That would be a type of pain that would torment you forever.
I had no idea what was going on in this until I heard the "Magpie Song". To anybody who doesn't know, the author's interconnected stories feature a being called the Gravekeeper, and in-universe the Gravekeeper possessed a woman and wrote the "Magpie Song" to torment her. He is apparently a type of being called an "Outsider" in Faircloth's works, generally malevolent monster from another dimension. I'm not sure if the Gravekeeper is the very first Outsider or just a particularly dangerous one. I'm fairly sure that this dream bar depicted the Gravekeeper puppetting another host, represented by the large, grey creature that made everybody else tense towards the end. Since the Gravekeeper thinks of itself as a "flock", I wonder if all these monsters are perhaps connected, and the thing the MC burned off his hand with salt was a fragment of the Gravekeeper or something?
@@daniell1483 I'm not sure, but 'the dream person' seems to be implied to be the Gravekeeper. As I see it, the Gravekeeper found a way to communicate with the protag without (fully) escaping. Or the protag is just a new host, and Gravekeeper already escaped. Haven't thought about it enough, to be sure.
I absolutely LOVE how complex this story is. Verastahl does a great job writing in a way where it leaves you totally in the dark, but there’s that semblance of the light in the distance that keeps you hooked (also helps when you have an amazing narrator and sound design). I think, in terms of theories, the creatures are a form of parasite that takes your autonomy in exchange for a continued existence with new perceptions (hence the poem on the magpies/ravens/crows, and the assimilated man in the bar). It seems like the mc’s creature was killed before it could take over, but still has control of his hand (and therefore a connection to its original world/dream place). I guess maybe one of the mc’s night terrors was like in the creature’s land; so, it was able to see him and come over to his side, but had to eliminate all his connections to the world before it could act. I also wonder if the thing that texted him was the barber who was killed with all those teeth marks (and maybe also the assimilated guy in the bar). Idk this story is just really fascinating, and having it narrated just makes it seem even more real and interesting.

this story resonated w me a lot. I have a limp foot after serious injuries w nerve damage and I have dreams so similar to what they described and when I had necrosis in my back I constantly smelled like death. the part where he says he doesn't wanna look at his disfigured hand, and the feeling similar to grief looking at it, I felt that so hard...
"It doesn't feel like a dream. It feels real and mundane" I don't know what you have when you sleep, but you just described what a dream feels like. Real and mundane.
I have the strangest dreams all the time that are nothing like real or mundane. They aren't horrifying or nightmarish, just they are downright creepy.

Hey I just wanted to say thank you for the minimalist audio bar again. Really threw me off when trying to do others things with all the moving lol. Keep up the great readings! Cheers!
You could honestly put out a 6 hour video of you narrating the song baby shark in a creepypasta way over and over again, and I’d still give a thumbs up and listen to the whole thing. Yet, you choose to bless us with quality content so consistently. As someone who edits videos/makes music myself, I know how much of a grind it is to do even just a 5 minute video, let alone hour+ long ones. I have no idea how you don’t burn yourself out. I’m convinced that you might just be a paranormal entity yourself at this point
This was a pretty good story!Always great content from Verstahl, and as always- great narration!! Looking forward to some future projects like Barusca 2! And really loving the collabs too w/dusklight radio, rom as always, and Ms spirit voices..add great writers and narrators- perfection!😢 👌🏻😊 thanks for all you guys do!! :)
Brilliantly Horrifying and great quality reading yet again. This one reminded me of the paranoia of the story of the monster hunter and the sister with the thing in the basement and the housefire combined with the body horror of the house with the portal story and maybe the uncertainty of the weird house with the like cheshire cat thing and there was maybe a cult? Sucks I cant remember the names of any of these. Your channel has been an endless source of comfort from reality since I first listened to you way back in 2020. Thank you 🩵
Another story from somnium. I absolutely love your Chanel and your work. I’ll continue sharing your vids with my fellow creepy pasta loving friends. Keep up the good work. I really only started listening to horror stories when I found Dark Somnium and I've listened to a few others but by far Sominum has the best cadence, tone, sound design, actors. Every aspect says you should be Hollywood or something
This is the best parasite story Ive ever heard. Psychic parasites normally drain your health and vitality, leaving you sick and despairing, but this one erases entire human beinga from having ever existed. That's fucking horrifying. And the way it can fully manifest into the physical world is very well written. Normally such entities can only be seen in dreams, visions, psychedelic trips, trances, and during psychosis or schizophrenia. But one that physically wounds your body is among the most powerful of its kind, both in fiction and in metaphysics.
Doing well actually ty for asking. I'm so happy that Dr.Creepen put me down on u its been a journey for u n I admire the growth you've made along the way u are an inspiration and I'm glad to have came across your narrations and music .Keep it up skies the limit !

@@Darksomnium You, too! Thank you for the stories. They get me through the work week and are always wonderfully narrated. The background audio makes the stories so submersible... you forget you're listening to a story. The writers are very talented, too. Thanks!
I'm absolutely happy I have found your channel and the library of your narrations. I work nightshifts at the steel factory and I need to admit some of your stories are a challenge to listen at work. Especially when I am fixing machinery and scary scrapy saoubd comes off my earpiece.
That reminds me:
Apparently there is no sound happier than a child's laughter. Unless it's 3am.. and you live by yourself.
Oh wow, I'm early. Wanted to say thank you so much for helping me get to sleep at night. I struggle with getting my brain to shut down and your videos always do the trick. Really blessed to have found your channel. Keep it up!
im so glad you could come by so early! and im so glad the channel has helped!
The ammount of dedication and genuine kindness to your fans is honestly so nice to see, keep working hard for us please 🙏
This was fun! Keeps you wondering the whole time. Usually unreliable perspective stories frustate me but this was very well done!
This is much needed today Dark. Preciate it. Hope youre doing well man :}
I am thank you, I hope youre doing okay too :)
Yay, Have been waiting patiently for a new drop ! Thanks for always looking out for your subscribers. Even though your working hard on many projects your still giving us stories to tide us over. You sir are phenomenal!
thank you kindly, im so glad you like the stories!
Looking forward
to some future projects like Barusca 2! And really loving the collabs too w/dusklight radio, rom as always, and Ms spirit voices..add great writers and narrators- perfection!😢 👌🏻😊 thanks for all you guys do!! :)
My favorite narrator (besides Lighthouse lmao) to listen to while I do schoolwork 🌟
Lighthouse?? REALLY?? I thought the narration was unbearable
Your stories got me through so many road trips , train rides , flights I even use it as white noise while I clean or work. I love revisiting your older work as well
thank you so much! im honored and so glad that youre enjoying the stories!
Oh perfect! I have a long ass project for school to work on so this is perfect . Thanks for posting such consistent long form videos! Hope you have a good day mr somnium
Really cool story. I look forward to the other stories that go with this one. Very intriguing!
Glad you enjoyed it!
"I hadn't seen anything"
*lightning strikes and triggers a flashback
"Oh no... the fortnite michael jackson event leak..."
This makes the world a better place, and tomorrow a more hopeful day. I appreciate you, and these writers more than can be appropriately expressed here - but thanks.
actually one of the best stories I’ve heard in a while
I'm so glad you liked it!
I am a college student and ive been listening to you since the beginning of the year, painting for hours and hours on end!

Thank you! 😊
I absolutely love your stories. Great video.
I really only started listening to horror stories when I found Dark Somnium and I've listened to a few others but by far Sominum has the best cadence, tone, sound design, actors. Every aspect says you should be Hollywood or something
Wow thank you so much!
Yay another Dark upload !! Can’t wait to listen hope you had a wonderful weekend buddy😊
wooo! thank you i did! how was yours?
@@Darksomnium it was great I had a wonderful birthday , can’t wait for Fridays story haha
Another Banger! Can’t wait for Pt 2!!
Thank you for making videos you give me something GOOD to listen to while I mow yards
Great story I like how it sort of drifts into mystery without giving much answers.
Nothin like a new Dark Somnium vid to start the work week :D
have a good week!
Great story and great narration; you are a master storyteller my friend.
Hope this is going to have more parts! Great narration, as always
More to come!

Thanks for another awesome narration of one of my stories. Hope everyone likes it!
Oof...
Ive had dreams where i forget that i was dreaming and vice versa often.
Makes me still wonder what reality even is.
You always make my day with these narrations.
well your comment made my day! thank you :)
