Also, the Internet connections over there are second to none and it's quite normal to post your experiences on Reddit. Otherwise they are just like us.

  • @daniell1483
    @daniell1483 8 месяцев назад +94

    I had no idea what was going on in this until I heard the "Magpie Song". To anybody who doesn't know, the author's interconnected stories feature a being called the Gravekeeper, and in-universe the Gravekeeper possessed a woman and wrote the "Magpie Song" to torment her. He is apparently a type of being called an "Outsider" in Faircloth's works, generally malevolent monster from another dimension. I'm not sure if the Gravekeeper is the very first Outsider or just a particularly dangerous one. I'm fairly sure that this dream bar depicted the Gravekeeper puppetting another host, represented by the large, grey creature that made everybody else tense towards the end.
    Since the Gravekeeper thinks of itself as a "flock", I wonder if all these monsters are perhaps connected, and the thing the MC burned off his hand with salt was a fragment of the Gravekeeper or something?

    • @TimaHzTV

    • @TimaHzTV
      @TimaHzTV 14 дней назад

      @@daniell1483 I'm not sure, but 'the dream person' seems to be implied to be the Gravekeeper.
      As I see it, the Gravekeeper found a way to communicate with the protag without (fully) escaping.
      Or the protag is just a new host, and Gravekeeper already escaped.
      Haven't thought about it enough, to be sure.

    I absolutely LOVE how complex this story is. Verastahl does a great job writing in a way where it leaves you totally in the dark, but there’s that semblance of the light in the distance that keeps you hooked (also helps when you have an amazing narrator and sound design).
    I think, in terms of theories, the creatures are a form of parasite that takes your autonomy in exchange for a continued existence with new perceptions (hence the poem on the magpies/ravens/crows, and the assimilated man in the bar). It seems like the mc’s creature was killed before it could take over, but still has control of his hand (and therefore a connection to its original world/dream place). I guess maybe one of the mc’s night terrors was like in the creature’s land; so, it was able to see him and come over to his side, but had to eliminate all his connections to the world before it could act. I also wonder if the thing that texted him was the barber who was killed with all those teeth marks (and maybe also the assimilated guy in the bar). Idk this story is just really fascinating, and having it narrated just makes it seem even more real and interesting.

    You could honestly put out a 6 hour video of you narrating the song baby shark in a creepypasta way over and over again, and I’d still give a thumbs up and listen to the whole thing. Yet, you choose to bless us with quality content so consistently. As someone who edits videos/makes music myself, I know how much of a grind it is to do even just a 5 minute video, let alone hour+ long ones. I have no idea how you don’t burn yourself out. I’m convinced that you might just be a paranormal entity yourself at this point

This one reminded me of the paranoia of the story of the monster hunter and the sister with the thing in the basement and the housefire combined with the body horror of the house with the portal story and maybe the uncertainty of the weird house with the like cheshire cat thing and there was maybe a cult? Sucks I cant remember the names of any of these. Your channel has been an endless source of comfort from reality since I first listened to you way back in 2020. Thank you 🩵

    This is the best parasite story Ive ever heard. Psychic parasites normally drain your health and vitality, leaving you sick and despairing, but this one erases entire human beinga from having ever existed. That's fucking horrifying. And the way it can fully manifest into the physical world is very well written. Normally such entities can only be seen in dreams, visions, psychedelic trips, trances, and during psychosis or schizophrenia. But one that physically wounds your body is among the most powerful of its kind, both in fiction and in metaphysics.
