      Ive been commenting on whatever i can get my keyboard on, im ready to give Utah 2 more 1st rounders. With Rudy, and Conley, and creating a winning culture that we have lacked for 20 years, reallys sped up Anthony Edwards development. And Rudy's passion for the defensive side of the ball is the reason we saw what game 2 looked like. When everyone is locked in. couldnt be happier for the guy, and the team. When you are surrounded by people you trust to defend, and you put the work in. When there is 5 guys on the court that know exactly what to do and skill and ethic to do it. Its beautiful. You literally couldn't play defense after that. It only got worse with every year after 2005. Yes the Grizzlies did have amazing defense but it wasn't on the Pistons 04 level. Come on dude stop it. Those dudes literally stopped a prime Shaq and Kobe. Grizzlies didn't stop anyone near the same level of talent. I love Tony Allen btw, he was a clamp down stud. The Bulls in the East come on dude. I'm out, I'm not entertaining this silly argument. Real defense died after 04. I am willing to bet this type of defense won't be allowed against Shae Gilgeous Alexander, Jalen Brunson, etc.

      Dude you are a real one. I'm a Lakers fan (not a Lebum fan, can't wait for him to bounce) so I have nothing to gain from this but I'm 100% with your take. Jaysun shrinks in the big moments but the worst part it is actually your coaching style. Joe Mazulla is doing what Brad Stevens was doing. You can't win like that, ISO taking turns and chucking up threes. Analytics has taken over most teams offenses and the Boston Celtics run so high on analytics. It will fail every time because analytics doesn't take into account the mental, emotional, etc of the big stage. Everything drops and certain players shrink. I don't expect Derrick White and Jaysun to show up in the Finals. Derrick White and Jaylen have gotten you there so far in the playoffs. Jaylen will do what Jaylen always does but Tatum and White won't. Same thing that happened to Tyler Herro (White equivalent )in the Heat Finals 2020. Those guys disappear and you can't count on those guys for your main offense. You need Tatum and Brown. Anyways we will see what happens.

    It's great to see a bunch of pieces that just fit together. Nvm the offense for a bit, but look at this team from top to bottom on D and it's scary. KAT is their weakest defender, and he's capable of playing moving well and protecting the rim when he wants to. But the Utah imports brought their 'no-mistake' smart defensive play at the point-of-attack (Conley) and the paint (Rudy); then you look at Jaden as probably the absolute last guy you want guarding you as a scorer, and all that overshadows how hard Alexander-Walker goes every game, and how versatile folks like Reid and Kyle Anderson are. Not to mention how Ant is stepping into that epic two-way level that all the greats (MJ, Kobe, Wade) reached in their primes.

    • @LazyCrazyGuy
      @LazyCrazyGuy 28 дней назад +2

      The refs are allowing it. Look at every other series up until this point. They only allowed the Lakers to play this type of defense. Everyone else is still getting called for almost everything. Look at Embiid had like 20 - 30 free throws. Look at Jalen Brunson like 15 - 20 free throws a game. Shae 15 - 20 free throws a game. Nuggets and Wolves not getting 10 free throws a game. I think it is because the Nuggets knocked off their king. They want the Nuggets out so they are allowing this type of defense. Let's see if they allow it against OKC/Dallas or Celtics.

      Gobert deserved DPOY. There are so many factors that casuals aren't understanding. For example, Wemby is new. Players didn't hold back shots on the inside yet until they had played him a few times and realized he blocks those. With Gobert, they already know... so he's altering players shots constantly and having more impact than the block numbers show. Same will happen to Wemby, btw. Blocks will go down now that players have more "nevermind" moments.
      Also Gobert is #1 for defensive win shares. And way more... so many factors go into DPOY
