- Officials provided an update Friday afternoon after a car crashed into a Long Island nail salon, killing four people and injuring nine. CBS New York's Carolyn Gusoff reports.
Why bother even having a press conference if every answer is "not sure" or "under investigation".

Even a terrible mistake such as this doesn't mean anyone has a pathetic life. Sure, he should go to prison, but you don't know his life from birth to that day. You have no grounds to include that part in your statement.

I used to go to this salon these people are very nice. I hope that the employees made it. I just saw the man that works there this week. RIP for the ones that didn't survive. I just can't see how this happened to a small off the street strip mall. WS there damage to the liquor store next door. How are they doing. All there customers are in shock.
Cant even go get your nails done and be safe. So sad and tragic. I don't even want to leave my apartment.

I mean, that's life. Your chances of this happening to you are quite low. If this scares you, you are more likely to die in a crash on the road than in a nail salon. Are you going to stay off the roads too?? No need to be dramatic though.

This is why the apostle Paul tell us to always say “ if God willing” because tomorrow does not belong to you. I’m sure those people had never imagine that they would lose their life in a nail salon. Because the media is always there before an investigation has even started. The accident was at 4:30 this was at 5:30, he said four people are dead they don't know why it happened yet.

Sadly 1 of the deceased was my x co worker at the hospital in Manhattan. She left the hospital to go to the police academy. She became a police and also married a police officer in 2023. RIP Amelia. Such a beautiful kind fun person. 😢

This is unfair to judge the first responders in the manner you use. It may be the only information that they have at this given time. And, keep in mind that they are the ones with the skills to keep people alive, if at all possible.
