Good Lord... the Jeff Beck influence is worn openly on his sleeve but his hands have taken it somewhere else and is most wonderful. This is a beautiful piece of music so passionate and expertly played. I am a fan for life :-) x

Only just found Erland after 35 years as a player my self. Goosebumps! What else can I say? Fabulous, technically awesome but with huge amounts of soul. : )
2:17, his transitions from a note to its harmonic and onto the octave note is amazing, brings a great deal of emotion and feel to his playing.

I enjoy Joe Satriani, Steve Vai and the likes.. but this is beautiful! his techniques and especially with the whammy bar is amazing, I must say Steve Vai is great with the Whammy but sometimes over the top. Erlend's Whammy technique is just perfect, it compliments the music rather than overshadow it. Simply beautiful!
his whammy mastery is really what makes his playing sound like a human voice. its one thing to play the guitar , its another to sing through it

Maybe, but I would mention that it's not better than Jeff Beck just because someone likes the song or style more, that side of it is completely subjective. For the next person, with a more musically refined ear, Beck's music may invoke emotion more than this does. I can guarantee one thing, neither of them are sitting around worrying about who is better.

Wow, nicht viele Gitarristen ist es vergönnt einen absolut einzigartigen Stil zu entwickeln. Aber Erlend ist einer davon. Leider kennen ihn viele gar nicht. Ganz großes Kino! Danke fürs Posten und die gute Videoarbeit, Tom! PS: Würde mich freuen, wenn du irgendwann noch mal ne Vorstellung machst oder mal deine aktuellen Fuhrpark und die Gigkiste vorstellst, falls sich da was getan hat seit den letzten Videos.
