black chicken is used for chicken soups in China and it is really not that expensive, if you go to China and go to a "market" not a super market but the outdoor ones and black chickens are only 1.5 times the price of a normal chicken

Adding gold leaf is a very "cheap" way to make it cost more. It does nothing but adds money to it. Anytime I see the world's most expansive "anything", if it had gold in it, I automatically skip it.
