Abseloutely spectaluar production here. This has to be one of the greatest productions I've ever seen on these railroads. Keep up the amazing work here.
What a first class film you’ve created. Beautifully filmed, deftly edited and nuanced to represent the historical significance. I really enjoyed watching this. My congratulations.
Looks absolutely fantastic at max resolution 2160p! I admire the logistics of this film. You caught the train perfectly, followed it in some shots and always kept focus and framing perfectly. I reckon you had no time to rehearse any of the shots and just went for it. There is nothing like 16mm film. It perfectly conveys the look and feel of steam trains. The oily running and valve gear, the soot and grime covered cab and boiler, the golden glow of the headlight, the smoke plume... Stunning work!
Thanks! Yea it’s all one take wonders. We have a 2nd shoot that you may have seen a demo of on here as well, which shows some of the footage we got from this year. We are shooting in fall and probably for another year or two. It’s gonna be a much bigger project when done.
At first I thought this was old footage from the 1990s, but some of the stuff you filmed wasn't around back then. Was very confused for a moment. So cool that you shot this in 16mm! There's something special about that textured footage. Like when you listen to vinyl. Great short film on a great topic.

Thanks! This was our "demo" for a real film we're making about the mines and railroad. I can't wait to get back there to shoot some more!
