Hello, everybody. I'm from Iran and I first made fondue. I have to confess it's one of the most delicious food I've tried in my life and I suggest to try this food.
+Hafsa Asad If i was your boyfriend Never let you go Keep you on my arm girl you never be alone I can be a gentleman anything you want If i was your boyfriend never let you go!!!
I need to report this to some random UN agency. You cant just make these mouth watering videos flooded with Swiss ingredients while your audience is languishing in some tropical country. Great video and love fondue!
Love, love, love fondue! For those of us who don't have access to the traditional cheeses Vacherin and Gruyere be careful if you use American style "Swiss" cheese as it will sometimes not melt and the whey separates when added to the wine and it gets gloppy.
My great great grandmother was from Willisau Switzerland, I've always wanted to visit there to see where my family comes from. I can't wait to try this recipe :)
I've been eating what I thought was swiss cheese for years but now that you informed me there's no such thing as Swiss cheese I'm freaking out and trying to figure out what I have been eating all this time.
Hy ! I enjoyed watching all your videos. Just to say, I'm French (country of the Fondue =D) and you have the same fondue as ours " la fondue Savoyarde". We put exactly the same thing, and I have to admit that it's a wonderful menu ... =) Have a good day !
So glad to see this from scratch. I was used only to the Emmi or Gerber ready to eat fondues.I will marry my swiss boyfriend this year and now i can try to make this myself and amaze him even more ;-) thanks. i enjoy every video you make
Yum, that looks delicious. I've read that some people add a little triangle of Laughing Cow cheese when using multiple types of cheeses when making the fondue. Apparently it helps the cheeses melt together evenly and not separate.
Der Rhinelander restaurant in Portland (Oregon) had cheese fondue as their appetizer and it was to die for. I knew it had wine in it, but I never thought of Schnapps I may have to get brave and try making me some of this. I can get Emmantaller and Gruyere cheese here. The restaurant served dark rye bread for dipping... I'm hungry!
It looks really yummy! I will make it, I hope it comes out as good as yours. I enjoy your videos and always look forward to the next one. Thank you for taking the time to make them . 'Till the next one!
I'm living in the other side of the Leman and i find it really cool to see how you, from switzerland, are doing this ! it looks so yummy, i need to try this recipe one day ;-)
Looks so yummy. Luckily we have Wegman's grocery stores in the Rochester, NY area. They have SO many kinds of cheeses. I'm sure they will have everything we will need.
I think Gruyère cheese is the easiest to find, at least where I live, which is fine because it is so good! I love the cooking and travel videos you make, and this channel in general!
I LOVED this video!! I love to learn things about other places in the world. I live in the U.S. and I loved the " Swiss " cheese part lol ..thank you for sharing :)
I use the same recipe! Except I mix everything from the very beginning. And the "moitié-moitié" fondue is my whole time favourite (gruyère et vacherin).
Yum!! Thank you for sharing your recipe :-) When I lived near Montreux we also had a meat fondue...hot oil in the pot, and various dipping sauces. Of course, I liked the cheese better :-)
i had this in france first time few weeks ago i couldnt get enough of it so i plan to do it myself in australia hopefully there is some type of cheese there that would suit this
Mmmmmm Sounds good!!! The pear Schnaps sounds good with it or even peach Schnaps. I don't like the taste of wine in food so I would maybe replace that part of it with milk.
im swiss from fribourg/freiburg the most popular fondue and traditional in the swiss country its fribourg fondue = vacherin and gruyere +white wine an other popular fondue in my country its juste vacherin fondue =vacherin melted with water enjoy your fondue with your best cheese for you :)
Very nice tutorial! The link to the blog isn't working anymore? I'm working on a blog post on SWISS CHEESE, and I'd like to include your video. Please let me know if that's OK.
Eternal Solitude My point is this: all good cheese, or even half reasonable cheese, in the USA, is not made IN the USA, and is bought in. Not that it matters that much, but if you love fondue and America falls out with the world and enforces a trade embargo, yanks are gonna be without *real* cheese.
I agree, you are right!! I live in the German part of Switzerland and as a foreign I perfectly know that Swiss people don't like to speak German at all. (Some of them not even if you speak in German with them) And "perhaps" it may be not important to speak their dialect but understand it is really important 'cause German is absolutely not enough!
Who's watching in 2021 and wants an updated video??
Hello, everybody. I'm from Iran and I first made fondue. I have to confess it's one of the most delicious food I've tried in my life and I suggest to try this food.

same here =( ... In Mexico, even though you CAN find a bid variety of cheese, they are expensive af

First video of yours I've watched. Really liked it and followed recipe to your specifics. Amazing with that schnapps.
Thanks a lot
Occasionally we use dried mushrooms (powdered) to spice the fondue up. Tastes yummy as well.
Wow, flashback to my childhood, I haven't had fondue since I was a kid. Love your videos J.
Awesome recipe
It's probably a "Chäsbrägl" for which they often use Raclette cheese, as it melts very easily.
My husband has told me how delicous pear schnapps is. I cannot find it anywhere in North America! This fondue looks amazing.
I got uncles and cousins in Swiss and they just use the Tigre fondue from the supermarket to make cheese fondue.
Tolle video. So guet. Danke und Gruessli vo San Francisco, CA. Making Fondue for my American friends tomorrow :)
Mmmm... Perfect recipe for Valentine's Day! Thank you for sharing it :D

Julia, how do you prepare your tea? I'm not much of a tea drinker and I would like to know if there's a way to make it more interesting for me
Very nice tutorial!
The link to the blog isn't working anymore?
I'm working on a blog post on SWISS CHEESE, and I'd like to include your video. Please let me know if that's OK.
Finding *real* cheese in America = mission impossible. LOL. Come to Europe - we'll show you how to do it ;-)
Eternal Solitude My point is this: all good cheese, or even half reasonable cheese, in the USA, is not made IN the USA, and is bought in. Not that it matters that much, but if you love fondue and America falls out with the world and enforces a trade embargo, yanks are gonna be without *real* cheese.
Eternal Solitude Canada is not America.
***** Canada, like USA is America!
It's cause you guys ban importing unpasteurized cheeses.
I don't live in America but this is actually relatable 😂😂
Looks so yummy!
so cool! i totally want to make some for my bf and family :P such a good video for an upcoming valentine's day :P
