That’s a pretty dam good selection at that casa! Would have bought all those Lanceros, Por Larranaga Montecarlos & RE El Rey del Mundo. Prices are still better than online especially if paying cash! I though cash discounts was a thing of the past! I guess those cc machines are getting greedy.
Holy moly, I'm just getting into Cuban cigar world, but these were some high prices. I noticed Monticristo #5 were 28 bucks there. I was at Isla Mujeres and picked up a few of those #5 for 16 bucks back in January. I will be back Playa area in a few weeks. I'm sooo excited to check out Casa in Playa. Hopefully l, there prices are a little more down to earth. Great Video, plz keep them coming.
Love these videos! Thanks for sharing. I have to say that I always thought that cigars were more expensive in Canada, but after seeing these prices, I'm starting to think that maybe I was wrong. I purchased 5 Partagas Serie D no.4 for 200$ CAD. Just saw them on this video for 49$ USD (65$ CAD). Ridiculous!
Just wondering if there has been increases on the Cuban rum or just the cigars? Maybe you can talk about the rum as well. Love the interaction with the staff. ✌️
John, in truth I haven't noticed a large increase in rum prices in Havana. I don't check much internationally bc every country has different import taxes. When I'm in Havana again this year I'll make sure to cover it
Owner Is the same as the cancun shop and Havana cigars shop in tulum. The tulum shop has all sticks placed in cedar shelf trays with no original boxes. Needless to say I didn't buy anything from that shop
I am going to Cancun in Feb, I’ve been told since the nationwide Mexican smoke ban for public smoking you can’t smoke anywhere outside or inside at public places, can you still not smoke in LCH? Or in any resorts??
@timstort8223 so at the LCDH Cozumel they don't let you smoke however many restaurants will allow you to smoke. Just ask them most outdoor restaurants in Playa del Carmen allow smoking in their outdoor areas but it's dependent on the restaurants and how much extortion they pay.
@@KimoKapaku I'm in Ireland myself, partagas D4 is 38 euro from JJ Fox in Dublin, that don't seem as expensive now. If you're in Europe again you should go to Andorra, it's very good for prices compared to the UK and Ireland, we have some of the highest duty on tobacco in the world 🥴
Update after my cruise on Carnival Paradise, going to Cozumel I realize I could’ve got Cuban cigars when going back to Tampa 😂 the only reason I know that is they didn’t even check our bags didn’t even ask how many alcohol beverages we have. It was get off the ship and leave lol. I was gonna buy some at the port, but they’re fake. That’s why I wish I went to this place. But now I know..
I’ll be visiting Cozumel in July this year. I’m not interested in Cubans. I’m interested in a Mexican puros. Can you suggest a place where I can find them!?
You might find some shops on Cozumel but if you have time to take the 25 min ferry over to Playa del Carmen, there are several Mexican cigar shops here like Casa Turrent which sell boutique amd custom rolled cigars using tobacco grown from Veraceuz, Mexico. The prices are much lower of course than Cubans but not as cheap as one would think
Wondering just how U.S. Officials act when you bring in Cuban cigars from Mexico. Or as long as you can prove that they were bought in Mexico is that any better. Or is illegal just illegal.
Great question Jeff. Typcaly IF I'm asked I will say I bought them in Mexico. I typically wait for them to ask me if I have any food or agricultural products or alcohol to which I reply NO. per the letter of the law it is illegal to bring any cuban products but some people believe what they want even when I quote the homeland security statute
Given the prices, I would recommend picking up 2 or 3 of various brands and trying then before buying an entire box. That being said with the current prices I would go with some Hoyo de Monterey Epicure #1 or #2, Ramon Allones Specially Select, San Cristobal La Habanas or Prados; Diplomaticos #2 and maybe Juan Lopez or San Luis Rey or El Rey Del Mundo. These brands are a bit more affordable
Also be sure to take a look at their discounted box which has some sticks with defects selling for a discounted price. Sometimes you can find deals there with minimal damage to the foot of the cigars like slight cracking
Aaron, Mexico recently passed a smoking ban in all public places. That being said, like any law, depends on enforcement. Beaches don't seem to be a problem unless you are at a beach club that prohibits it. The situation is on a case by case basis. Restaurants and businesses alike that used to allow smoking are a bit paranoid bc the fines cam be pretty stiff so they are a bit more cautious. You just have to weigh it out based on your surroundings. Here in Playa del Carmen I smoke in public but when I walked thru the outdoor mall a security guard came up to me to tell me it's prohibited. I acknowledged him amd said OK thank you
I am.gping to assume that you are in Serbia or the Baltic regions where taxes on tobacco and very low. I would love to get my hands on the Baltic Regionals or Serbian Regionals!
It's the only one on Cozumel. If you take the ferry from Playa del Carmen it stops directly in front across the street. From the cruise ship dock it is 10mins to the main plaza
You're smoking the WRONG LEs braddah. I've only had 2 LEs that I felt needed some more time. The Montecristo Leyendas and the Partagas Legados. The rest of the LEs I've had are nothing short of amazing.
Bought a 10 box of RyJ wide churchills recently and paid 246 dollars for it, the 10 box of Partagas Salamones lcdh was 369 usd. Box of por larranaga galanes was 170 usd, the montecristo petit no 2 in a 10 box was the cheapest for 155.
Loving the humidor run throughs and with the prices, helps especially with all of the price increases

Nice inventory but that Brasil regional without the Cuban warranty seal was dubious 🤔

Yeah, Mexico tobacco taxes are high. It's why I smoke custom rolls

Cruise ships are probably the easiest to bring back habanos bc of the shear number of ppl disembarking at once
Can you clarify, just replied to one of your previous comments. Do the cruise lines check your bags coming back to the ship? I’ll be on royal…..
Was inside this humidor in January…tiny tiny
Thanks for video. New worlds all day long though, these cigars arent worth these prices
30 years ago I bought a box (25 ct) of Cohiba Siglo VI for $160. Dios mio!
That'd awesome but whats even more awesome is if younstill have some to snoke!!!!

I’m going to LCH in Cancun, how can I get them back into the states??? I’m flying back so putting them in my checked bag will that work??
@timstort8223 you can do that or carryon. I'm not one to say since it is illegal to bring cuban products into the U.S.
OMG I was just there!

you travel a lot! lol jealous.
Not really Tony. I live here
I'm booking an excursion with Royal Caribbean for a Master Class cigar making. Can you confirm with me that this is where the class takes place?
Sorry I can't confirm as I dont know if they use the LCDH shop or if they conduct it at a local cigar shop on the island
Which ones would you recommend for a beginner. Thinking of trying to by a box.
Thanks

What's the best cigar I can get from here for a doctor that I work for and my budget is $20 thanks😊
I would look around Ramon Allones Club or specially selected. Also Hoyo de Monterey epicurean #1 or #2
I will be going on a cruise in December and want to know if i can bring back a box of cohiba?
Sure you can but Cohibas are very expensive just so you know.
Remember that cuban products are illegal to bring in
Which port are you leaving and returning? Unless you HAVE NOTHING TO DECLARE, you are fine
Carnival cruise and leaving from Tampa. I’m from Florida. And it’s the CARNIVAL PARADISE one of the smaller ships.
Did you have any luck?
@@rollerpt
Sooooo, did you have any luck. If so how did you bring it on board. I’m going on royal Caribbean next week.
What websites are the best for buying real cuban cigars?
Me and friends use ihavanas.com
Guaranteed delivery or they will replace. A friend received a federal seizure and so they will ship another box
@@KimoKapaku what's your favorite cohiba?
Is this pre tax pricing ?
All tax included
Why is it in Mexico so expensive, in my country you buy lots od them in half the price. WTF???

No CIGAR IS WORTH OVER 30.00
Sad that you have to be a millionaire to justify smoking good Cubans now
There are alternatives. Check my video on value smokes
Wow.. people actually paying that much for cubans. Cubans are overpriced and aren't as good as before.
Which I why I search for aged sticks against price and rarity/availability
LIMITADA ARE NOT ALWAYS BETTER. SOMETIMES REGULAR PRODUCTION IS BETTER, AND I FIND THAT 80/90% OF THE TIME.

75$ for a 5 pack of Cohiba Lanceros is a deal!
It was each not for a 5 pack
Holly shit theese prices are 2 times what I pay in norway. Excluding cohiba and trinidad…. Thoese are fucked everywhere

I don't know what taxes on tobacco are like in Norway but in Mexico is extremely high
