We have our first ever allotment plot!
We are complete beginners and we couldn’t wait to get to work. Everything we have done in this first week was done over 6 hours and it’s amazing how quickly we got through the weeds.

What a lovely allotment space! So much hard work already. Don’t over do it though. Little and often is the way to ensure you don’t burn out and have injuries. It’s a lot more stressful on your back and muscles than you realise. I started by clearing then I did a bed, dug, weeded and then planted. Do it bed by bed and plant as you go. Good luck and most importantly enjoy it :)
