    Really appreciate that you're willing to speak your mind when there's so much pressure for you to sell out. Lots of opinions out there that are pretty clearly bought and paid for.

    If presented with the opportunity, you should share your experience. There are a lot of people who will be persuaded by the marketing campaign, and sadly some of those really can’t afford to buy twice and may give up on their fitness goals because of the bad gear.

    I have a set of Quick Draws. More than enough mass for my strength level, with room for development. They have nice ergonomics, grippy knurling, and really are quick to adjust. Plus they are a real bargain compaired to competition.

    The Strength Co makes some of the best loadable Dumbbells no one really knows about. They are actually called mini barbell by product name. I like them because they are nice barbells with good knurling and not too long or short like the Rogue ones.

    I hope all the hype is real. I don’t believe anyone has the finished Reppin product yet. That would be another reason they are not in your gym. Waiting for mine to arrive in November.
    I don’t understand all the hate for the Nuobells, I’ve had mine going on over 3 years and still going strong. I believe everyone is just piling on to Glucks tear down video.
    The Reppins will be an addition to my Nuobells. There maybe some plastic in them, but have found them to be quite durable and don’t believe I’m the only one who doesn’t drop them. I did sell my U125s to fund the Reppins and won’t be dropping them as well.

    • @GymCrafter
      @GymCrafter  11 часов назад

      Glad they are still working for you! I was recommending against them long before Gluck's video. His vid just gave concrete evidence of what my website readers were already telling me via email. Also wasn't a fan of Coop saying they were the best in several videos while in his own gym he was using the Snode's

    I think rogue, rep, Titan fitness and bells of steel. Urethane dumbbells are all made in the same place. They seem to be exactly the same just different logos on them. I went with Titan fitness because they were the least expensive.

    Eisenlinks are a good alternative for loadables. Square shape, easy to add/take away. I considered them but wound up buying powerblocks again because I don’t like doing plate math.

    I don't like the idea of having my hands in a cage, so will avoid rep pepins and power blocks. I am looking at Trulap 8592.

    • @GymCrafter
      @GymCrafter  11 часов назад +1

      You aren't alone. The only negative I've heard on the Trulaps are the plates fall over and they don't hold up to being dropped all that well. The Rep's don't feel like you are in a cage like the PB, though. They are designed really well and that really shouldn't be something that holds you back.

    • @carps_gym
      @carps_gym 8 часов назад +1

      The Rep Pepins are not like that. They don’t feel like your are caged in like powerblocks. I used them at Home Gym Con and you don’t even notice the sliders are there like a power block

  • @carps_gym
    @carps_gym 8 часов назад +1

    The loadable with spin locks I really like the original Pépin or Péppin HD series they feel the most like a pro style dumbbells and the knurling is better than iron masters

    If money was no object, Eleiko rotating dumbbells would be the best. American Barbell is 2nd place since they don't rotate but No.1 place for bumper plates. I highly recommend the combination of 2 sets of American Barbell change plates and Urethane bumper plates. combined with a set of Rogue DB15 you would be good for up to 32kg per dumbbell which is more than enough for someone starting off. I still think if you're going with adjustable dumbbells rogues can't be beat, it's worth it for the stainless steel handles alone. For something you will be touching allot it's worth it.
    No matter what, if you get any loadable dumbbells, GET GOOD COLLARS!, they are worthless without good collars. I recommend rogue aluminum collars.
    Ditto on American barbell making the best stuff. I would still choose my rogue Pyrros over the american barbell comp spec bar however.

      Trained for 30 years and not once did I ever say too bad these dumbells don't rotate... Totally useless for me. I can see buying those eleiko dumbells that are non rotating... American barbell makes some nice dumbells

    • @Wyrdrock
      @Wyrdrock 13 часов назад

      @@Pler1978 I totally agree, don't misunderstand, rotation is not a must have, it is in my case a GREATLY enjoyed luxury. I've heard anecdotally that it can prevent some injuries and pains especially in the elbow, but that by no means makes non rotating dumbbells useless. I only meant in response to him that if money were no object at all the rotating eleikos would beat the American Barbell dumbbells, which btw I love and AGREE that are by far the BEST non rotating fixed dumbbells.

    In the middle of watching this. You just made the comment that you can't "publish" anything negative about a certain company, but there is nothing about you going on another podcast and discussing it. I think you are legally wrong. "Publish" is a legal term that doesn't require you to actually publish something as in you write it, or you release the video. "Publish" can include anything that makes another person aware. So you going on another podcast and discussing the issues, even if you are not the one distributing that podcast, is still you "publishing" that information. I'd advise you to further discuss this with your legal counsel, this is NOT my area of legal expertise, I am a criminal defense attorney in Ohio, so my understanding may not be correct, or the law in your area may differ. But please seek additional clarification on this issue.

      Thanks for the feedback. Honestly, while I'll probably make references to them for a while, I'm kind of done with the whole deal. If I could look myself in the mirror and honestly say I was doing it to help people it would be one thing, but there's a fair amount of wanting to hurt that company's business too and that's not me at all. While it's human, it's not a good look and doesn't really represent who I am as a person. Better just to move forward with new stuff and go from there!
